Today marks the 150th episode of #MoldFinders: RADIO!

There’s no other way to celebrate this milestone than having Dr. Jill Crista join me for a very special episode! So special we couldn’t fit it all in one episode.

In fact, it's so special that we couldn't squeeze it all into one episode! This episode marks the beginning of a four-part series.

Over the next four episodes, we'll introduce you to four incredible individuals who will share their personal stories about their journey with mold and the healing process.

First up is Kaycee.

After the birth of Kaycee’s third child in 2017, she began suffering from various health issues like fatigue, neuropathy, and memory lapses. Then, after several medical tests returned normal, she discovered Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) and Pediatric Acute Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS).

Sadly, their "forever home" was found to be mold-infested, leading to the tough decision to leave and extensively remediate.

Despite the pain of discarding most of their belongings due to contamination, Kaycee stresses the importance of health over possessions.

We hope Kaycee’s story provides you the hope you need to continue moving forward.

Steve's journey is marked with challenges…

He and his family experienced a range of symptoms from changes in pant size, brain fog, and thyroid issues, to tinnitus, and even serious diagnoses like testicular cancer.

Many of these symptoms remained mysterious until a conversation in 2021 when someone mentioned the possibility of mold, which led Steve to a revelation.

He remembered a water leak in his basement, which had been overlooked.

The biggest lesson to learn from Steve is to keep at it.

There are companies out there called “emergency response” or “water restoration” companies. These companies will come to you when you have a leak to dry it out. The problem is mold takes just 24-48 hours to grow. So if you do the math, by the time you call the company, and they actually get the building materials dry, 48 hours almost always passes. This means you now have a 70-80% chance of mold growth in those areas. I don’t really how how emergency response drying companies are able to get away with this without making sure there isn’t a mold problem, but it happens all the time, even though their Industry Standard (IICRC S500) specifically tells them that it shouldn’t! Get ready! Today we have chiropractor-turned-integrative medicine provider, Dr. Daniel Johns, joining us to share his personal journey of healing from mold. To start off he introduces the concept of IV laser treatment. This treatment involves irradiating blood with different wavelengths of light while it circulates in the body. He explains the distinct benefits of various wavelengths and how they can enhance microcirculation in the brain and other tissues, among other benefits. Then, Dr. Johns discusses a variation of the original NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques). Once a patient is diagnosed with imbalances or sensitivities in the body, they undergo specific treatments to "retrain" their body's response. The end goal is to modify the immune system's reaction to things like mold, mycotoxins, Lyme, etc., and retrain the central nervous system to not overreact to these triggers. While other treatments like ozone therapy might help kill pathogens in the blood, the combination of IV laser treatment and his NAET approach can both kill pathogens and strengthen the immune system. On today’s episode of #moldfinders: RADIO, I'm going to walk through why outdoor baseline air samples are so important.

Every house in every city on every block is going to have a different outside airborne fungal ecology than somewhere else.

Mold is a natural thing that grows everywhere outside.

You can’t know what’s going on inside your house if you have no idea what’s going on outside of your house.

The baseline sample is a comparison point that tells us 2 things:

1. Is the mold count inside the house lower than outside the house?
2. Are there different mold types inside the house than outside the house?

If the answer is “Yes” to either of these, we’ve got ourselves a mold problem.

And if we didn’t take the outdoor baseline sample, we wouldn’t have known there was any issue at all.

And what’s better than one outdoor baseline air sample? 2 outdoor baseline air samples!

But we’ll cover that by the end of this episode, too.

There are times when you “know” where the mold is coming from in your home. Let's face it, basements are common places to find water problems which makes them a common place for mold to grow.
