Fellow rookie Ladd McConkey shined in this game as the focal point of the offense with 9 catches for 117 yards, but his usage came with a cost. The rest of the Chargers offense failed to find their footing throughout the game and once again completely disappeared in the second half. One great part of an ugly win was Derwin James getting back to making game-changing plays as he sealed the game with an interception. The Chargers have much to improve on but this was a huge win for the team’s chances of making the playoffs in Jim Harbaugh’s debut season.
