19 Feb 2024 | 3 Signs You Are On Your Way To Your Next Financial Breakthrough | 00:16:32
In this episode of It’s Not About The Money (formerly In Her Financial Shoes), I discuss the three signs that indicate you are on your way to your next financial breakthrough. The first sign is detaching from the need for money and shifting from a mindset of lack to gratitude and abundance. The second sign is experiencing chaos and breakdowns, which often occurs before a breakthrough. The third sign is an identity shift, where you let go of old beliefs and behaviours that no longer serve you. I emphasise the importance of upgrading your identity and investing in yourself to attract wealth and abundance. I would love to hear your thoughts on any of our recent podcast episodes. In today’s episode, Catherine is joined by marketing and mindset coach, Ellie Swift. Ellie joins us from Western Australia to share her expertise on how to set goals for abundance in business. Goal setting is sometimes considered quite a masculine act and often people set goals that have no real vision for their own life. The other challenges when setting yourself goals is not truly believing that you will achieve them, choosing instead to hope and wish for the outcome rather than know that it is going to happen. Ellie shares how grounded goals can help us take those small steps to our big wins with various tips and tricks along the way.

21 Apr 2025 | How to invest during uncertain times | 00:31:50
Episode Overview
In this episode, I tackle the timely topic of investing during market volatility, particularly relevant as stock markets respond to President Trump's recent tariff announcements. For many investors, these uncertain times can trigger anxiety and fear, but I explain why volatility is actually normal, cyclical, and can present excellent investment opportunities for those with the right knowledge.
Key Highlights
Understanding Market Sentiment
The Psychology of Market Cycles
Recognising Your Own Emotions and Behaviours
Understanding Market Cycles
The Power of Correlation in Building Resilience
Final Thought
Successful investing is about time in the market, not timing the market. Research shows that missing just the 10 best days in the stock market can cut returns in half over decades. While market volatility might make many investors fearful, those prepared with the right strategies can use uncertain times as opportunities for growth. Chapters

03 Jan 2022 | How to Expand Your Vision: Get Clarity, Confidence, & Abundance | 00:17:33
In this episode, Catherine is looking at the power behind getting clear on our financial future and why expanding your vision is the key behind this. Often, we find that we are limited by fear – fear of success and fear of failure. We don’t believe in ourselves, that we are capable of achieving and therefore do not even begin. We perceive this fear of failure as shame or embarrassment and Catherine shares why it is so important to focus on the emotional benefits of a financial goal rather than just the assets it will create. Today’s episode is a practical one. As well as sharing one of her favourite chapters from Glennon Doyle’s book Untamed, Catherine also shares an exercise from her own best-selling book It’s Not About The Money so grab a pen and paper to really implement the changes in life to help you step into your wealth. Episode Overview
In this episode, I explore why so many female founders experience "success ceilings" - those moments when business finally gains momentum, money flows in, goals are hit... and then something happens to pull us back down. They represent unconscious self-sabotage that happens when money starts to flow.

I really wanted to get stuck into what money trauma is and some of the emotions around money, as well as how to feel okay to earn more money. How do you heal money trauma? Society tells us that we should try to ‘get rid’ of negative emotions such as fear, shame, regret, guilt, responsibility, and anger, when actually all emotions are important. Rather than trying to get rid of those emotions or money blocks, I actually recommend leaning into the emotions and money blocks in order to lean into and Step Into Wealth®. In this episode:

18 Apr 2022 | How Much Should A Financial Coach Charge | 00:38:12
In this episode, I am digging deeper into how much a financial coach should be charging and how you can go about becoming a financial coach. The wonderful thing about financial coaching vs financial advise is coaching is about the emotion. We look at the beliefs and attitudes behind our actions and a financial coach really focusses on the transformation and results for the client. As a financial coach, you create powerful advice that really sticks with your clients, creating real impact in their lives, all while increasing your own income with ease.

When stuck in recurring debt shame cycles it can be really difficult to see a way out but it is completely possible. When we change our relationship with money, we open up doors that we never believed were attainable. As well as some actionable tips, I am going to share some internal shifts that supported me in moving away from cycles that had me robbing Peter to pay Paul.
