Debra was just 11 years old when she was taken from her home in 1969, her remains were found 6 months later in the trunk of an abandoned car. Season 1 Episode 15 In Episode 15 of Invisible Tears, Jane Boroski and Amanda talk with Michelle Renee. Michelle is an advocate, personal coach, speaker, author, writer and CEO of Verb Media Group. Michelle is most famously known for her story of survival, told in the movie "Held Hostage". In November of 2000, Michelle and her 7 year old daughter at the time, Breea, were held hostage in their home by a group armed with guns. The group strapped explosives to Michelle and her daughter, forcing Michelle to rob the bank she managed. Both Michelle and her daughter survived the horrific ordeal. Season 4 Episode 18: The Murder of Melissa Tremblay Melissa Tremblay was only 11 years old when she was found murdered on Monday September 12, 1988 in Lawrence Massachusetts. She had gone missing the afternoon before nearby the Lasalle Social Club in Lawrence. The autopsy revealed that little Melissa or "Missy" as her friends called her, had been beaten, stabbed twice in her chest and her liver and her throat has been slashed. She also had a fractured skull and a large bruise on her back. Her left leg was also severed by means of her body being put on the train tracks at B&M Railroad. While police investigated all leads, the case went cold until 2014 when authorities teamed up with the company Identifiers to develop a genealogy profile from DNA. Armed with this profile, police made an arrest for her murder on April 22, 2022. The suspect was extradited to Massachusetts to face charges and the judicial process, however, a guilty verdict still hasn't been handed down and he remains behind bars awaiting a second trial. Season 4 Episode 22: Colorado DNA Analyst Scandal In September of 2023, Law Enforcement became aware that the work of Yvonne "Missy" Woods may have deviated from standard operating procedures. Yvonne worked for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation's Crime Lab for 29 years as a DNA analyst. She was placed on administrative leave in early October 2023 and retired November 6, 2023. Season 2 Episode 5 In this episode of Invisible Tears, Jane Boroski and Amanda give an overview of the unsolved Trish Haynes homicide. Trish was reported missing the summer of 2018, last known to be around the Grafton NH area. Her dismembered body was found in Grant's Pond in September of 2018, but the positive ID of her body was not released publicly until almost a year later by authorities. No arrests have ever been made in this case nor have any persons of interest ever formally been named in this case. There is no holding back in the conversation between Jane and Amanda about their opinions with this case not being solved. It is unacceptable. Season 4 Episode 11: Jessica Briggs......Solved or Not? On May 24, 1989, the murdered body of 16 year old Jessica Briggs was pulled from the Portland Harbor in Maine. Her ex-boyfriend, Anthony Sanborn Jr., would end up being convicted of her murder in 1992. After spending 27 years of a 70 year sentence in jail, Anthony was released on bail in 2017. He is still convicted of her murder. On this episode of Invisible Tears our team talks about Jessica's murder. This case was brought to our teams attention from both the profiler of the Connecticut River Valley Serial Killings, John Philpin, and the investigator, producer and host of Dark Valley, Jennifer Amell. As we discuss what is know, we talk about similarities between Jessica's case and the Connecticut River Valley Serial Killings and differences. Season 4 Episode 7 Jane and Amanda discuss the unsolved murder of Craig Lane from Peterborough, NH. He was 17 when he was killed while working at the Texaco gas station along Route 202 in an apparent robbery. The robbery took place at approximately 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 1989. Customers saw a person fleeing the scene at the time. Season 4 Episode 19: Baby John Doe Northfield, Vermont On April 1, 1982, the body of a caucasian newborn baby boy was found dead around 7AM along the side of Mill Hill Road in Northfield, Vermont. He was discovered by 4 children waiting for the school bus. An autopsy determined the baby boy was born alive, full term and biologically normal.
