Professor Cooke is a consultant geriatrician in the University Hospital Waterford, National Doctors Training and Planning (NDTP) and South/South West Hospital Group Clinical Director for Education and Training as well as Clinical Professor in University College Cork and Clinical Associate Professor in the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.

Professor Cooke will be part of a gerontological simulation education session at this year’s IGS Annual Scientific Meeting. They discuss his career in geriatric medicine and education, gerontological simulation, it’s role in education, research in the area of simulation and practical tips on how to introduce sim in your setting.
