Raw and Honest Prayers: How King David's Example Can Transform Your Prayer Life: Devotional Bible Study of Psalm 143   Psalm 143 portrays King David in a state of emotional distress - feeling low, anxious, and likely struggling to sleep as he turns to God in prayer. He acknowledges his desperation and realizes that his only hope is in God's intervention. Have you experienced a similar situation? I certainly have. I find David's example of being honest and genuine with God in our prayers inspiring. This passage reminds us that it's okay to express our deepest emotions to God and seek His help in times of need. I hope this episode brings you encouragement, particularly when you find yourself in a similar circumstance. Thoughts to Journal: Think about a time in your life when you felt overwhelmed, anxious, or low, just like King David in Psalm 143. How did you handle those emotions? 552: Our Past Doesn’t Disqualify Us: Rahab: Women of the Old Testament Bible Study In this episode, Rachael discusses the story of Rahab, a woman in Scripture who was used mightily by God. Despite her past, Rahab believed in God and took action to protect the Israelite spies. As a result, she and her family were spared when the city of Jericho was destroyed. Rahab's story teaches us that our past sins do not disqualify us from being used by God, and that faith must be accompanied by action. She is remembered in both the Old and New Testaments as an example of faith and obedience. 411// Do Not Fear Persecution: A Devotional Bible Study on Matthew 10:24-42 Sometimes, when we are sharing the gospel, there are going to be people who are not receptive to the gospel message. In fact, not only are they not receptive, they're going to hate us because of it. What do you do with that kind of persecution? If it makes you afraid, you’re not alone. Day 31: Genesis 12:10-20 Trusting God’s Provision (2025) Genesis 12:10-20 reveals what happens when fear drives our decisions instead of faith. Faced with famine, Abram takes matters into his own hands and goes to Egypt without seeking God’s direction. In his fear, he compromises by asking Sarai to say she is his sister, putting them both in a dangerous situation. But even in Abram’s failure, God remains faithful, stepping in to protect Sarai and redirect Abram back on course. Do You Listen Obediently to God? How Our Disobedience Harms Our Relationship With God: Reflections from Psalm 81 What does it mean to obediently listen? In Psalm 81 we see God’s call to listen to Him because He desires to bless. Over and over we see God’s heart is for reconciliation and relationship. As we study Psalm 81, we can learn from Israel’s example to listen to the one who loves us most. Thoughts to Journal: Do you ever struggle to be obedient to God when He calls you to do something? Sometimes we hear Him but don’t want to actually be obedient to Him. When we realize that the call to obedience is more about our relationship with Him than anything else, it can change our perspective. Allow yourself some time to reflect and journal your honest thoughts.
