05 Jul 2022Let's Discuss Reunion Episode: Let's Catch up with Ella Gregory!01:08:56

This week’s episode is one which I know so many of you have been excited to tune into . . . that’s right, it’s time for the Let’s Discuss reunion episode!

For those of you that didn’t previously tune into Let’s Discuss Podcast, Let’s Discuss is a show I co-hosted alongside my great friend Ella for a number of years. Let’s Discuss Podcast is all about navigating life as millennial women, and in it we discuss life, love, work and wellbeing. You can still listen in if you fancy it. In November 2020 Ella and I decided to wrap the show, for the time-being, but I’ve missed our regular podcast catch-ups! And I know that many of you have too! I’m so happy to be reuniting for today’s Health Home Hustle episode!

A bit of background for those of you who may be new to Ella and her work: Ella Gregory is an OG in the world of fashion blogging. Having started her site Coco’s Tea Party when she was just 16 years old, Ella was part of the very first wave of bloggers. Throughout her blogging career Ella travelled extensively, collaborated with prestigious brands the world over, interviewed movie stars, wrote thousands of blog posts and shared her life online via multiple platforms. And truly, I’m just sharing the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Ella’s accolades!

After 13 years in the blogging industry Ella decided to make a pivot, and as you’ll hear in this episode is now working in an adjacent field, and thriving in this season of life.

Tune in for a catch up with Ella! We get into it all: from what prompted Ella to make a big life change, through to how things are going now, as well as a good’ol conversation about TV shows, books, beauty products and more that we’ve been loving of late!

This episode is a casual, fun catch-up between friends! I hope you’ll love tuning in!

The Blend: How to Successfully Manage a Career and Family by Tobi Asare

07 Jun 2022Navigating Career Ambitions and Motherhood with My Bump Pay Founder Tobi Asare00:39:42

I’m thrilled to welcome Tobi Asare, founder of My Bump Pay, to the podcast. My Bump Pay is an online platform which gives women the tools to—in Tobi’s own words—“smash the glass ceiling with a baby on the way and beyond”.

Tobi studied Law in London, and went on to lead client services teams managing commercial relationships with large investment and corporate companies. Tobi launched My Bump Pay in 2018, to help other women navigating their careers and motherhood with actionable advice.

As you’ll hear in this episode, one of the things I most admire in Tobi is her commitment to her ambitions navigating motherhood and her career, without apologising for either.

Whether you’re planning to start a family, are currently pregnant, or have children, Tobi shares so much wisdom about what each scenario looks like and how you can navigate each life chapter with confidence.

I found so much value in my conversation with Tobi and I hope that you will do too!

03 Oct 2023Balancing Beauty and Biology: Your Skincare's Role in Endocrine Harmony and Epigenetic Health with Skin Diligent's Co-founder Tule Park01:17:21

Welcome to this week’s episode of the Health Home Hustle podcast! Today I am joined by a very special guest: Skin Diligent’s co-founder Tule Park. If you’ve been tuning into the last few episodes of the show, you’ll already be familiar with Skin Diligent as they’re our current show sponsor.

Tule is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to ALL things skincare and cosmeceuticals. As you’ll hear in this episode, Tule is forensically interested in health, the interconnectedness of the systems within our bodies, the impact our lifestyle choices can have on our gene expression, and how products and other factors can have an impact on our hormones.

Yes, we’re talking skincare, but we discuss SO much more!

Having worked with a number of Korean cosmeceutical companies earlier on in her career, Tule had a clear vision for a European based cosmeceutical brand, focused on improving skin health, reinforcing the skin barrier, and getting results with intelligent delivery systems for proven active botanical ingredients. The result is Skin Diligent—a beautiful primarily natural cosmeceutical brand which truly delivers on its promises via targeted skincare and supplements.

In this episode Tule and I really deep dive into what it means to have ‘healthy skin’. And spoiler, it may not mean what you think it means!

We address topics including:

- what our endocrine system is, and its relevance when it comes to skincare choices

- sensitive skin, what it means and how you can still use products which include wonder-ingredients like Vitamin C

- the difference between moisturisation and hydration

And so much more!

This episode is a BIG skincare deep-dive which may just change your perception on what having ‘healthy-looking’ skin really means.

Enjoy!

I am delighted to welcome Stefanie Sword-Williams, affectionately known as Stef, to the Health Home Hustle podcast! Stef is the founder of Fuck Being Humble, a disruptive business which helps people to reframe the way they think about self-promotion.

Stef worked in advertising for 7 years prior to launching Fuck Being Humble in 2018; since then Stef’s written a book: F*ck Being Humble: Why Self-Promotion isn’t a Dirty Word, delivered a TEDx Talk, made the Forbes 30 Under 30 list Europe, secured her own radio show, has been named one of 100 women changing the creative industry (twice) and was recognised by the Royal Society of Arts for making a significant impact towards social change.

29 Nov 2022Energy Healing and Finding Better Balance with Thimela Garcia, founder, Chakra Mama Healing01:05:16

Thimela (Mel) Garcia is a certified holistic practitioner and Yoga Alliance Kundalini Yoga teacher based in London.

In her own words, Mel bridges the gap between western medicine and the ‘alternatives’ while providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to heal. Mel offers a wide range of holistic treatments such as reiki, sound healing, chakra balance, cacao ceremonies and sound baths among others.

I was introduced to Mel at an industry event where she led a yoga class and cacao ceremony and I was truly blown away. In this episode Mel and I dive into energy healing, chakras and I quiz her on how we can bring ourselves into better balance. This conversation dives deep into how we can be more conscious of our own energy and energetic alignment, as well as ways we can support one another.

I loved chatting to Mel and I hope that you’ll take a lot away from our conversation too.

12 Jul 2022A Conversation on Clean Skincare with By Sarah London Co-Founder Lauren Murrell00:48:59

I am over the moon to be joined by Lauren Murrell today, CEO and Co-Founder of the all-natural plant-based skincare brand By Sarah London.

In today’s episode you’ll hear all about Lauren, and her sister and co-founder Sarah’s, journey to starting By Sarah London. At the age of 23 Lauren was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, the treatment for which left her skin irritated, shedding and red.

As a way to help her sister to gain some comfort back via skincare, Sarah began to formulate all-natural plant-based skincare which Lauren’s skin was able to tolerate even in the most extreme and raw of circumstances. Many common chemicals, and even essential oils, were too active for Lauren’s sensitive skin at the time.

What began as a way for Sarah to help her sister’s skin to repair and restore when recovering from leukaemia, evolved into By Sarah London, a transparent, natural, science-led skincare company. I personally love By Sarah London products, and am so excited to welcome Lauren onto the show today to share her story, By Sarah London, and the benefits of all-natural skincare.

If you’re eager to learn more about natural clean skincare and its benefits, this episode is for you!

02 May 2023Determining Your Elemental Constitution (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water) and how it Relates to Your Physical and Emotional Health With Hana Miller, Founder, The Balanced Woman System01:23:41

This week I’m welcoming Hana Miller, licensed acupuncturist, certified holistic health practitioner and founder of The Balanced Woman System—an online platform which helps women to heal themselves holistically using Chinese Medicine, Hormonal Balancing, Qi Gong and more—to the show.

In this episode Hana and I discuss holistic health, what it means to “see an entire person”, how we can all benefit from learning about the seasons (of life, a year, a day) and how we can maximise the 24hr clock using the Chinese Medicine clock.

We also discuss the elements—wood, water, earth, metal and fire—and how learning about our elemental constitution can help us to fully bring us into balance and “into our element”.

There is so much to take away from this conversation! I found Hana to be an incredibly peaceful, kind and intuitive person, as well as being phenomenally knowledgable.

If you’ve been feeling out of balance, you're curious about discovering your element or you simply want to make the most of your time, this episode is for you!
