Wes recently became one of only five people this year to complete the “Grand Slam of 200s”, which includes completing Cocodona 250 and the Triple Crown of 200s (Tahoe 200, Bigfoot 200, and Moab 240) all in the same year. Wes is also known for his media presence online, and there is a chance that you’ve seen one of his trail running videos on YouTube, especially if you’ve ever shown interest in doing a 200. Wes creates some of the best, most detailed, and most viewed trail running videos around, and they help paint an incredible overall picture of the races that he does. For this episode, Wes talks about his foray into trail running, his pursuit of wanting to run longer, and the preparation, desire, and challenges of doing 200 milers.
