On episode one hundred of the Gotta Be Saints Podcast, I was interviewed by my good friend, Natalie Khalil.
Biography:
My name is Brendan Gotta and I am the creator of Gotta Be Saints.
I’m 29 years old, from a family of 10 (seven siblings) and am currently residing in the Charlotte, NC, with my wife, Meredith. I work for Trinity Road LLC. as the Manager of Corporate Communications and Evangelization.
I'm an avid golfer, a lover of pizza, and have yet to find a place that isn't drivable. I’m one of the most extroverted people you’ll ever come across, and nothing brings me more joy than meeting new friends or connecting with old ones.
I’m always singing, making jokes and taking life only as seriously as I need to. I’d like to believe that I’m always looking for the good in others, and when possible, helping them to see it too.
My favorite saints are St. Peter, St. Louis Marie de Montfort, St. Peter Julian Eymard, St. Faustina, St. Francis of Assisi and Blessed Stanley Rother. I love the Blessed Virgin Mary a lot and my favorite Marian title is Mother.
I think personal prayer is essential to living out one's vocation, along with frequent reception of holy communion and regular confession. I think God wants to make us saints and we just need to accept the graces put before us.
And I think that’s it.
God bless you and know of my prayers!

Quotes:
“But the words that divine Wisdom communicates are not just ordinary, natural, human words; they are divine, "truly the words of God."
They are powerful, touching, piercing words, "sharper than a two-edged sword," words that go from the heart of the one through whom he speaks straight to the heart of the lis. tener. Solomon is referring to this gift of Wisdom he himself had received when he said that God gave him the grace to speak according to the feelings of his heart.
These are the words which our Lord promised to his apostles, "I will give you an eloquence and a wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist."
How few preachers there are today who possess this most wonderful gift of eloquence and who can say with St. Paul, "We preach the wisdom of God." Most of them speak according to the natural light of their minds, or from what they have taken from books.
They do not speak under the impulse of divine Wisdom or from a heart filled to overflowing with wisdom. That is why in these times we see so few conversions made through preaching. If a preacher had truly received from Eternal Wisdom this gift of eloquence, his listeners would hardly be able to resist his words, as happened in the early days of the Church: "They could not resist the wisdom and the Spirit speaking in him." Such a preacher would speak with so much unction and such authority that his words could never be ineffectual and void.” St. Louis Marie de Montfort

Seven months ago, Mariana Kulhman’s husband, Nathaniel, went home to be with the Father. I am blessed to have her with me today to discuss their story - how they met, how their love blossomed, the wedding day, tragedy, and of course, the gift of life.
For most of us, Sunday is the day we attend Mass, setting it aside as our Sabbath. However, once we step out of the church, we often find ourselves caught up in the same rush as any other day. Whether it's catching up on work, running errands, or tackling household chores, we rarely allow ourselves a true day of rest. Travel, shopping, and the endless to-do list can lead us to forget the essential purpose of the Sabbath. The commandment to keep the Sabbath day holy is not just about worship in the morning, but about dedicating the entire day to Him.
On episode #170, I spoke with Daniel Fitzpatrick about the significance of restoring the Lord's day. Here are some key questions and topics from our discussion:
Cultural Observations: What inspired Daniel to explore the relationship between the Sabbath and societal trends, particularly those he observed in New Orleans?
Historical and Literary Influence: How did the works of authors like Homer, Dante, and Evelyn Waugh shape his understanding of the Sabbath and influence the structure of his book?
Modern Challenges: In his book, Daniel discusses how modern society mirrors the Pharaohs' obsession with work and anxiety. What does he believe are the root causes of this shift?
And much more...

Biography:
Fr. Ken Geraci, CPM, lived the life of the prodigal son for most of his young adult life. Raised in a nominally Catholic family, who only lived the externals of the faith, Fr. Ken left the Catholic Church for many years. During that time he earned a business degree and worked as a business profession in Advanced R&D and software testing; a few years into his career he joined a few of his co-workers in establishing a $4.5 million Internet software company. Focused on money, fitness, and success, he made little room for God; but God did not give up on him. During this journey, God presented him with challenges that forced him to question his personal beliefs and the question “What is Truth?” Through a series of conversions, years of struggle, study and questioning, Fr. Ken found his way from agnosticism, to non-denominational Christianity, and ultimately back to the Catholic Church.
Fr. Ken joined the Fathers of Mercy in 2006 and was ordained in 2012. For two years, he served as an associate pastor of a medium sized parish and currently serves as a Missionary, webmaster and vocation director for the Fathers of Mercy. Fr.
