You see we are very visual human beings. Taking care of ourselves, And our environment does affect our moods, our passions our goals in life. It’s time to dive off the deep end and … let’s talk about HOW and WHY we tend to put things off. - We’re going to talk about procrastination today. How does this happen?? Different reasons: - Could be the moon and sun influence. While a full moon gives us the urge to HOWL… it doesn’t reveal that we’ll be productive. - The SUN, does give us energy if we go out and bask in this energetic force, and yet, not everyone can take a long break whenever they need to plug in. - Could it be the enormous PILE on your desk that’s beginning to haunt you in your sleep? I’m not sure… We all have different motivational forces. We’ve talked before about different types of people. Some need to hide everything out-of-site; gives them a feeling of order, pride, being in charge –as no one knows their filing system. Others, function better with things out in the open. They know where to find stuff in an orderly fashion and IF they file everything out of the way could be crippling to embrace the ‘out of site, out of mind’ mentality! For myself tend to do a combination of both of these: When working on projects, active clients, groups, I tend to keep these current folders OUT and accessibly to make notes or add things. When the projects/classes are finished, they have a place to go…get filed in one area or another. TIP- don’t keep buying more filing cabinets! Just keep purging the ones you have when you need to! “How clean is CLEAN! And What should we do?” People ask= (guilt words) BTW Guilt (and beating yourself up) is the lowest vibrations you can carry with you…did you know… it’s down there- next to shame. ”When you are carrying these burdens of guilt and shame… leads to many other insecurities along the ladder of despair, lack and helplessness… poor self esteem, never measuring up… and so on. Circle downwards. Procrastination sets in when you allow yourself into this vortex. ‘How low can we go’? You ask? Whatever is on the walls CAN influence your mood and affect positive results in your business! One Example Let’s paint a picture: Let’s visualize the ocean and a few mountains in the background. There's a few trees off to the side and a lone figure walking along a sandy beach. Ahhh.. Some people will have a picture like this in their office. They may even look at this image and think- "Man. I’m all alone in this, this is a huge project. I cannot image climbing that mountain." And yet, another person may perceive this another way, and think: "Hey, this is GREAT! I’m in charge; I’ve got this! And, I can’t WAIT to see what’s up ahead on the other side of the mountain!" The same image can influence your day; meaning different things to different people. As well, the energy in the mountain/beach image may work well in an office, and yet, not recommended to hang over your bed! Our Guest Charmaine Diallo has some insight to share... Charmaine has suffered most of her life with different physical discomforts, including sleep issues, digestion problems and weight gain. As she was growing up, her family blamed the irritations on being too sensitive or her being “difficult.” Never did she imagine much of her discomfort was due to being an HSP (a highly sensitive person). A highly sensitive person is someone who has heightened senses, and experiences stimuli more deeply and intensely than others. People who are exhausted after being in large crowds or are extremely sensitive to strong smells or loud noises can potentially be HSPS. Many HSPs make changes in their lives to accommodate themselves, often missing out on social activities and career opportunities.
