Joseph Mims is brought to Obsidian for testing and observation. Ruben confronts his daughters about their reliance on Orion. But just as he's about to take it away, it reveals something shocking.

Dr. Proctor covers up evidence of what happened aboard the ISS. Meanwhile, Camila starts community college and struggles to keep her long-distance relationship with Julian afloat. Just when she's at her lowest, she hears from the one person who can make it right — but what she hears shakes her.

Elaina Aguilar and Joseph Mims, two astronauts aboard the International Space Station, inspect an extraterrestrial artifact and are brought face-to-face with a terrifying presence.

After a tragic development, the Aguilars struggle to help Elaina recover her supressed memories of the incident using Orion's data. Meanwhile, Dr. Proctor goes on the offensive.

Back on Earth, Elaina's daughter, Camila, refuses to accept the loss of her mother as her 18th birthday looms and impending decisions weigh on her. When the big day comes, she receives an unexpected gift.
