After the sudden death of her son’s friend, Lisa began reflecting on how she first reacts to someone dying. Even though she embraces death, feelings of sadness, grief, and anger are inevitable. 

 

On this short but special episode, Lisa wants us to understand that what this “large frame of reference” allows her to do is to see things in a much bigger picture to better understand death, without denying herself from feeling those normal human emotions.

This gift was a comment from the salesman that left confused at first, then had me thinking how we put too much emphasis on money, and who has it and who doesn’t. How would our lives change if we spent more time being happy with what we have, and being happy for those around us and what they have?

Dr. Yvonne Kason is a retired family physician and transpersonal MD psychotherapist, who has had five Near-Death Experiences, two as a child, and three in her adult life! Propelled by her own powerful NDE in a plane crash, she became the first Canadian medical doctor to specialize her practice on the counseling and researching of patients who had NDE’s and other spiritually transformative experiences.


Yvonne is currently a board member of  IANDS, the International Association for Near-Death Studies, and is a member of the American Center for the Integration of Spiritually Transformative Experiences. She has been a member of numerous other organizations that explore the intersection between medical science and spiritual experiences.

Yvonne has published five books, including her newest one Touched by the Light: Exploring Spiritually Transformative Experiences.

Despite many hardships, she accomplished her dreams, becoming not just a successful marine scientist, world traveler, and a mom, but also a mentor and a giver of light. Through her compelling life adventure that journeys from her native Colombia to Europe and her eventual home in the United States — and from a deadly war zone to underwater explorations and a NASA research center — Ingrid reveals how any human experience can be illumined from within. If we are willing to pay attention to subtle signals, take our intuition seriously, and forgive our most challenging difficulties, anyone can experience a brightly guided life.

 

Throughout her life, Ingrid has been guided to meet and help many people on their journey to become aware of a deeper reality and reconnect with their inner wisdom.

 

Ingrid also wrote an autobiography: "A Brightly Guided Life: How a Scientist Learned to Hear her Inner Wisdom"; in which she reveals how after having a near death experience at the age of two, the first glimpses of heaven were revealed to her and the doors that allow her to communicate with Beings of Light were opened.

He runs the Death Store as well as has a funeral home which is the only nonprofit and only certified green funeral home in Hawaii, where he offers low-cost, personalized, green burials and ocean body burials.

In October 2016, Jim was flying one of his historical reproduction airplanes over the Connecticut countryside. Suddenly, he lost power and crashed into a forest, rupturing his lungs, breaking all his ribs and shattering his right leg. Brother Ed has been described as an elder gentleman of compassion and wisdom with many mystical, spiritual and Near-Death stories.  He is described as a 'small-town, coastal Texas country white boy’ who has known life and death in many ways. His life’s mission is to enhance how we experience death and dying in our communities globally.

Having died from a car wreck, a drowning, and a surgical accident, as well as losing his first wife to drowning and a daughter to suicide, Ed has devoted much of his life to serving the dying and their families. With careers of corporate ‘computer golden boy’, nursing home orderly, yoga coach, hospice minister, and funeral Director; Brother Ed continues to serve when called.
