אלול, תשנ׳טלדוד ה' אורי וישעיהגדרה עצמית
ראשית נשאלת השאלה היכן נכתב המזמור? על מנת להבין את עיקרי הדברים, עלינו לחקור מאיזו נקודת מוצא נכתב המזמור, באיזה מצב ובאיזו שעה. על פי פשוטם של דברים מדובר בסיטואציה של חשש מאויבים, ערב מלחמה, "בקרוב עלי מרעים", "אם תחנה עלי מחנה", וכיוצא בזה ומתמיהה העובדה כי דוקא במצב זה עומד דוד ומצהיר – "בזאת אני בוטח" מה פירוש 'בזאת'? מהו הדבר אשר ממנו שואב דוד את כוחותיו, את היכולת להתמודד עם אויביו וצרותיו?
כאמור, מדובר באדם הנמצא ערב מלחמה ושרוי בלחץ רב. אויביו מקיפים אותו, סוגרים עליו והמצב בהחלט לא מעודד. השאלה היא, כיצד מגיב האדם ברגעים כאלו? כיצד מגיב דוד המלך במצב שכזה?
מתוך כל הפחד, החששות והצרות, מביע דוד את משאלתו היחידה – "אחת שאלתי מאת ה', אותה אבקש, שבתי בבית ה' כל ימי חיי, לחזות בנעם ה' ולבקר בהיכלו”. דבר זה שופך אור חדש על דמותו של דוד המלך. זו נקודת השוני, תמצית ההבדל בין דוד המלך ובין כל פושע נמלט מן השורה.מכל אדם באשר הוא אדם היינו מצפים לתגובות מסויימות כאשר הוא שרוי במצבי לחץ. על-פי רוב התגובות הן ספונטניות – יש המגיבים בהיסטריה, יש המנסים בכל מחיר לצאת מן הבוץ וכן הלאה. ואילו תגובתו של דוד – דומה כי איננה ממין הענין כלל. היא אמנם ספונטנית, אך כלל לא מתאימה למצב. מצפים היינו כי במצב הזה יזעק דוד לה' או יחשוב על תכנית, אולם תגובתו הראשונית של דוד מבטאת דבר שונה בתכלית – את כיסופיו לחזות בנעם ה', ובתור תגובה ספונטנית (בהתחשב במצב המתואר) זוהי תגובה בלתי שגרתית ומפתיעה ביותר.למעשה, ברגעי המצוקה, כאשר האדם מגיב בספונטניות, מתגלים במידה רבה הכוחות אשר שוכנים בתוכו ומגדירים את אישיותו, ומשום כך מוצאים אנו תגובות שונות וייחודיות אצל דוד המלך.
בסיכומו של עניין, מדובר בחיבור עמוק ביותר, חיבור אשר למעשה מגדיר את האדם מבחינה פנימית, ואשר נבחן דווקא ברגעים של חוסר מודעות עצמית, ברגעים של ערפל ובלבול, הרגעים בהם עולים דברים באופן טבעי, רגעים בהם מגלה האדם מהם הדברים החשובים לו באמת, ובעצם – מיהו ומהו באמת. מבחינה זו, המזמור שלפנינו מציג את הענין בצורה חזקה – מהלך של מאבק מתמשך, רצוף צרות וסכנות כאשר מתוך המאבק עולה המשאלה "שבתי בבית ה' כל ימי חיי לחזות בנעם ה' ולבקר בהיכלו".אלוללאור האמור לעיל, מצטייר ענינו של חודש אלול ועניין התשובה בכללה באופן חדש – שונה. כעת תופסים אנו את שאלת העבירות הקטנות וכשלונותיו של אדם כשאלה צדדית. השאלה המרכזית היא היכן האדם עצמו נמצא, במה הוא מהרהר על משכבו בלילות, היכן מונחת נקודת ליבו. במלים אחרות, השאלה איננה מהם מעשיך, השאלה המרכזית היא מי אתה?
לאור דברינו מתברר, כי החטא האמיתי איננו עבירה זו או אחרת אלא הניתוק הפנימי, לבך מונח במקום אחר, הדברים אינם נוגעים בך ברמה הקיומית. הדרישה לתשובה היא הדרישה מן האדם להגדיר עצמו בצד הקדושה, להניח עצמו שם.אמנם, אין הדבר פשוט כלל וכלל, בל ישלה אדם את עצמו כי מיד לאחר שיחליט על כך, יחלו מחשבות והרהורים על מושא אהבתו החדש להעסיק את מוחו וליבו. אין זה פשוט כלל לחיות "בתוך" משהו, לחיות מתוך הקשר מסוים יחידי. ודאי שדבר כזה אינו מתרחש ביום אחד.אך האדם יכול להתחיל בכך. ביכולתו לעמוד ולנסות לשייך עצמו לקדושה. לומר – כאן מקומי. יכול הוא להתחיל את הדרך, לפתוח בגישושים ראשונים בדרך ליצירת קישור חזק. יכול אדם לעמוד בחודש אלול ובימים הנוראים ולקבל החלטה, לעמוד ולומר – "רבונו של עולם, אני שלך!" ובכך מקיים הוא את הפסוק "ושבת עד ה' אלוקיך "

Tonight is the 86th yahrtzeit of the great light, Rav Avraham Yttzchak Hakohen Kook. We learned a letter Rav kook had written during Elul of 1933. It's quite mind-boggling how Rav Kook knew that we would need to inhale these words today, in 2021.

אורות התשובה פרק יד לז

"כשאדם רוצה להיות דוקא צדיק גמור, קשה לו להיות בעל תשובה. על כן ראוי לו לאדם שתמיד ישים אל לבו את השאיפה להיות בעל תשובה שקוע ברעיון התשובה ושואף להתגשמותה המעשית, ואז תוכל תשובתו להרים אותו למעלה, עד מדת צדיקים גמורים, ולמעלה מזה.”

ליקוטי מוהרן ו א

מי שרוצה לשוב להשם יתברך, צריך לחגור מותניו שיתחזק עצמו בדרכי השם יתברך תמיד, בין בעלייה, בין בירידה.
שהם בחינת: "אם אסק שמים שם אתה ואציע שאול הנך". היינו, בין שיזכה לאיזה עלייה, לאיזה מדרגה גדולה או קטנה, אעפ"כ אל יעמוד שם ולא יסתפק עצמו בזה, וצריך שיהיה בקיא בזה מאוד לידע ולהאמין שהוא צריך לילך יותר ויותר, שזהו בחינת "בקיא ברצוא".

וכן להפך, שאפילו אם ייפול חס וחלילה למקום שייפול, אפילו לשאול תחתיות חס ושלום, גם שם אל יתייאש את עצמו לעולם, בשום אופן, יהיה איך שיהיה.
רק יחפש ויבקש את השם יתברך ויחזק עצמו בכל מקום שהוא ובכל מה שיוכל.
כי גם בשאול תחתיות נמצא ה' יתברך, וגם משם יכולים לדבק את עצמו אליו יתברך. וזה בחינת "ואציע שאול הנך". בחינת "בקיא בשוב".

כי אי אפשר לזכות לתשובה כי אם כשבקיא שתי בקיאויות אלו. ובאמת זה בקיאות גדול מאוד שיזכה לידע שצריכים ליגע את עצמו ולטרוח בעבודת השם תמיד, ולצפות בכל עת להגיע למדרגה גבוהה יותר. ואף על פי כן אל ייפול משום דבר. ואפילו אם יהיה איך שיהיה חס ושלום, אף על פי כן אל ייפול בדעתו כלל, ויקיים "ואציע שאול הנך" כנ"ל.

וכשיש לו שתי בקיאויות אלו, אזי הוא הולך בדרכי התשובה, ואז ימין השם פשוטה לקבל תשובתו, וזוכה לכבוד השם, ונעשה על ידי זה אדם לשבת על הכיסא.
אשרי לו.

כי בכל מקום שנפלת לשם, נמצא איתך ה' יתברך.

אם אסק שמים שם אתה ואציעה שאול הנך.
כי בכל מקום שנפלת לשם, נמצא איתך ה' יתברך.''
