Hevo is partnering with major automakers, including Stalantis, to offer wireless charging as a factory-built solution within the next few years. McCool also discusses the challenges faced by the US in adopting EVs and the need for improved infrastructure with roadway charging and dynamic charging. Jeremy McCool is a veteran who spent 15 months in Baghdad leading troops into combat as part of the surge program. After that, he moved to Brooklyn, where he pursued a master's degree in urban policy with a focus on sustainability. In 2010, he founded Hevo, which began as a program in one of his classes at Columbia University. Hevo is a cleantech company that develops solutions for electric vehicles. When he started the company, there were less than 20,000 electric cars on the road, and he had to work on his pitch without investors, engineers, or an HQ, operating out of the library for the first six months. However, Hevo soon succeeded and was accepted into the first cleantech incubator in the Northeast.

Harrison is an advocate for fun and sustainability in the world of electric mobility. They discuss Harrison's journey from managing COVID testing to moving into electric mobility and managing the London to Brighton EV Rally. He speaks about all the quirky converted classics that join the rally, like the electric Morris miner and the efficiency-tracked journey from London to Paris. This year, it's also going to Geneva.

Harrison Hughes Bio:
Harrison Hughes, co-founder and innovative mind behind the London to Brighton Electric Vehicle Rally, was a visionary far ahead of the mainstream shift to electric vehicles. His journey began not as the frontman, but as the ally to Bill Murray, his astute business partner, and their acquaintance, Tom Druid, the trailblazing owner of Brighton's foremost electric bus company. This trio's curiosity about the capabilities of Druid's new fleet of electric buses sparked the conception of a real-world test— to measure their distance viability and efficiency on a single charge. Hughes's eye for opportunity and Bill's creative outreach transformed a technical trial into an inclusive event. The event retraced the historic avenue of many past rallies but with a modern, electrified twist, setting a precedent for an annual celebration of renewable energy in transportation. From London to Brighton, the rally quickly expanded, gaining international traction with routes extending as far afield as Paris and next to Geneva.
