Earthship (Earthship Biotecture)

The topic of mind and matter has been covered in many books for many years by physicists and philosophers and mystics. It is not the aim of this chapter to simply represent the already existing thought that mind and matter could or possibly do meet. It is, however, necessary to briefly discuss this thought in an effort to establish a frame of reference near the extremities of existing dogma from which we can get the best possible “view” of the material presented in the following chapters.

Security & Autonomy.

Living in earthships provides security and safety via off-grid, sustainable designs and systems. ‌Keep the building warm in the winter and cool in the summer with little to no utility bills / fossil fuels. This increases both psychological and physiological comfort.

New Mexico residents are trying to a break free from Los Alamos’ nuclear legacy by creating more environmentally sound ways of living. At the forefront of this struggle is renegade architect Michael Reynolds, creator of radically sustainable living options through a process called “Earthship Biotecture.” Reynolds’ solar homes are created from natural and recycled materials, including aluminum cans, plastic bottles and used tires. These off-the-grid homes minimize their reliance on public utilities and fossil fuels by harnessing their energy from the sun and wind turbines. In Taos, New Mexico, Reynolds gives us a tour of one of the sustainable-living homes he created.

There has been talk of being detached from our physical surroundings - that maybe it is more “spiritual” to be less attached to the physical plane. This type of thinking has exposed the planet we live on to neglect and abuse by humanity. How can we be enlightened beings on an abused planet?

Unarguable Phenomenon. Slipping out of the game (the dogmas of the swarm of humanity) is necessary in order t move out of a limiting reality and on to a more expanded view of ourselves and how we relate to the Universe.

Super Sustainable Buildings via Thermal Dynamics & Passive Solar.

An Earthship is a type of passive solar house that is made of both natural and upcycled materials (such as earth-packed tires). Earthships can be completely off-grid or partially off-grid.

Earthships can be built in any part of the world, in any climate (with a permit) and still provide electricity, potable water, contained sewage treatment and sustainable food production.

Earthships are thermal mass homes first,
passive solar homes second.

Whatever temperature goes into an Earthship, it will hold… and since it is also a Passive Solar House, it is also very tight and interacts only with the sun and the earth for heating and cooling, providing stable comfort year round in any climate.

A word about magic. Real magic is neither a manipulation nor has power over anything. It is an alignment with power - the power of natural, unarguable phenomenon. Human can achieve this alignment only by 'stepping' out of dogma.

We are doing what a lot of people are doing around the world. We want to share our thoughts on how it is affecting the Earthship Company.

We are seeing that because most of us live in Earthships, we are safe and secure but we do not produce enough food, so we are focusing on increasing food production. Off-grid, utility free.
