22 Mar 2022 | Pip Sumbak (Pip's Plate) - Heart of the community | 00:39:27
The floods in Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales have left devastation in their wake. The true impact is yet to be determined, but it has been life altering for so many. Pip Sumbak (Pip’s Plate) was only 4 days into her first solo business as a caterer when the floods hit northern New south Wales. Together with a food colleague they set about trying to feed everyone who had lost everything. Within two weeks, thanks to a band of volunteers and the generosity of producers and suppliers they dished up more than $150,000 meals and helped formed the heart of the community. We caught up with Pip to see the impact and what it will take on the long road to recovery for an entire region destroyed by floods.

31 Oct 2024 | Joel Murray (Station Manager Westholme Wagyu) - nurturing cattle | 00:15:34
We’re heading to the rangelands of northern Australia today. Joel Murray is the station manager at Wylarah, a key cattle station for Westholme Wagyu. Wylarah is about 500 km west of Brisbane, in river country with rolling hills, and runs up to 10,000 cattle at a time. The rhythm of the year is set by the seasons but life on Wylarah is as bound up in technology as it is in nature: it’s a modern approach to an old-timer craft of nurturing cattle.
This episode is one of three sponsored episodes from Westholme.

This is the fourth episode of The Producers in Launceston, a special series celebrating the producers and people of northern Tasmania, in partnership with AgriCULTURED.
Liz and Rick Mahnken grow Angus beef on Summerlea Farm in north Lilydale, 35km north of Launceston. Their children are the 7th generation of Mahnkens on this farm. 19 Sep 2023 | The Producers Northern Tasmania Special Series Episode 3: Cynthea Semmens (Marion’s Vineyard) - the view in every bottle | 00:01:02
This is the third episode in a special series of The Producers. Agricultured 2023 celebrates the farmers and produce of northern Tasmania. In five conversations, we celebrate farmers caring for both land and community. Along the way you’ll hear how strong local food systems and ethical farming do much more than create delicious food. They also benefit farmers, eaters and the earth we all share.
Marion’s Vineyard is a love story, an immigrant tale, a family legend and an example of what can happen when passion meets philosophy and an appreciation of soil, heritage and legacy. Cynthea Semmens is the second generation to be making wine at this special vineyard overlooking the Tamar River - Kanamaluka, 35km north of Launceston. Her approach: trying to get the view in every bottle.

Now, part of one of Sydney’s most dynamic restaurant groups he’s exploring the beauty of both cuisines in unique, small venues.
