22 Jun 2022 | 193: The Best Western States Preview Show Ever | 02:05:23
MERRY STATESMAS! It's Western States week and a shit ton of our friends are running it this year! First up, Ellie Pell makes her like 300th appearance on the pod, she's basically a regular. She's also super humble so we will brag for her- she's going to freaking slay it. She talks about her training, her awesome build up, her three podiums at big races (Bandera 100k for the Golden Ticket, Chuckanut 50k and Gorge Waterfalls 100k) and that she is NOT AFRAID. Ellie runs hard on nothing but her love for the Beast Coast and Aldi's snacks. I give her bad advice and we talk the virtues of Corn Flake consumption. Then we holla at Steve LaBranche and he might put some sandwiches in his pants, or he might run The Grand Slam of Ultrarunning this summer. Either way dude is a badass and has a practical approach to running a lot of hundreds in a short amount of time. This is Steve's second WSER start and #2 of his Summer of 100s (has already run Old Dominion, then Western States and Vermont, and finally Wasatch). Last up is THE DESTROYER Tom Starodaj. Tom's strengths are his actual running, followed by his signature short shorts, his dope ultra beard and finally his insanely awesome crew. All stalwarts in the local scene, not to mention Patreons for YEARS they will have our dude on point for all 100.2 miles. Marc "Machine Gun" Kelly, Stefan "Mr Ragged Himself", Julia "The Thrasher" and Tha Homie Bessic all chime in with some behind the scenes Q and A that is not all awkward. 06 Sep 2019 | Episode 38: FKT Bad Boy LSE | 02:24:52
Tonight we sit down with a repeat offender; one Lee-Stuart Evans, he of the "I Broke the FKT Site" fame. Lee explains in detail his New England Trail fastest known time (FKT for those in the back, seriously pay attention) and gives a lot of cracking advice on just how to set these records, and why after two days of hiking and running the planned crossing of the Connecticut River with a makeshift raft was probably going to be a bad idea. We dive deep into what makes a legitimate FKT- with little to no resolution; possibly an amendment passed to agree to disagree? We then surprise the Legend Himself #hundojoe with a rainbow ice cream cake for his 40th birthday. Art goes water skiing, Becky reads the best fan mail we ever got on-air and Jimmy reports that he ran the New Haven 20k without projectile vomiting this year. "A Very Special CULTRA" might be over-used at this point, but it's a special one. 29 Jun 2020 | 83: Summit to Sea FKT with the Livingstons | 02:21:44
Debbie and Scott Livingston are one of the North East’s power ultra running couples. This episode tells the story of how they met at the Vermont 50 Mountain Bike Race and Ultra Run, and how they have built a life of adventures together. Debbie and Scott have been knocking off FKTs and seeking adventures for years. Their most recent adventure was a 242 mile journey on the New England Trail from Mount Monadnock NH, to the Long Island Sound in Guilford CT. We cover many of the details of this journey, from the preparation of equipment, to harrowing river crossings, to the extreme mental and physical challenges they endured. We hear stories of joyful sunrises, meetings with friends, and the true appreciation of the basic necessities of life, like sleep and water. 16 Aug 2019 | Episode 35: Howie Ran For Forty years | 01:37:45
Hey Cultra Nation! Have we got a good one for you today, it's a very special episode with the one and only Howie Breinan sitting in with us and his story is amazing. First ultra finish before the age of 10? Check. Several breaks followed by huge comebacks? Check. Triumph over adversity? Check. This show has everything, and the term "hundo" is ubiquitous (as is epic, stout, beta, etc.), Art has an extra helping of potty mouth tonight (and gets called out for it), Jimmy makes a bold, dare I say audacious claim re: his finish at Bimblers, Brian is his usual snarky and witty self and #hundojoe adds to his legendary legend.

19 Mar 2019 | Episode 14: Evil Becky Burke | 01:53:59
One of the challenges of Ultra Running is keeping a positive attitude when things go bad. Becky Burke is an accomplished ultra runner who has faced and overcome many low spots in during her races. She shares what it’s like to be in a dark place and introduces us to “Evil Becky” her calorie depleted race persona. To help with the discussion this week we week we invited our Patreons Christina Chin-Hing and Jimmy Mac to come and join us in the studio to act as co hosts as we interview Becky. This show is a combination interview and the typical Cultra hijinks. We enjoy listening to a few Cultra Karayoke songs, and get into an intense game of Cultramatic. The CULTRA trail running podcast is a place where we can get together and discuss all the fun shit that happens on the trails, that most normal people don’t care about. CULTRA’s headquarters is located in the belly of the beast coast, Glastonbury Connecticut, so most of our stories involve North East Trail running or North East Trail runners. The language used in this show is very explicit and raw like the trails we run on, so don’t listen to this with your kids, and if that stuff offends you too much, or if you are a triathlete, or are on some really weird ultra runner fad diet, and can’t take a joke, this is definitely not the episode for you. We don’t have sponsors at this point, instead we like to recognize the folks that support us. This week we recognize our Patreon Supporters Brian Vanderheiden, Christina Chin-Hing, Clayton Collins, Dan Haggerty, Geoffrey Miller, Jim McCusker, Jimmy McCaffrey, Joseph Nuara, Kristijan Begic, Michael LoPresti, Michelle O’Neil, Stephan and Superfan William Gibbs. Thank you all so much for your support. We had a lot of fun recording this episode and hope you enjoy it. First of all, this was a rare Monday night recording so all of our moons and stars were aligned and... naw I don't believe in that stuff. We were in rare form so to speak, and everyone is getting after it. From the local to the regional to the national FKT scene to Jimmy celebrating 10 years running by running 40 miles to Simon's triumphant return to Evil Becky running 75 miles overnight on a track, there's running happening. 07 Jun 2019 | Episode 25: The CUT112 with Michael Dolan | 02:20:14
Mike Dolan is a bad ass; lawyer, former boxer, West Point graduate, 2:45 marathoner, now 100+ mile finisher. Then for whatever reason he decides to accept our invitation to appear on CULTRA and goes and absolutely wrecks that stellar resume. Some people never learn. In all seriousness, we sit down with both Mike and our own Stacey Clark as they talk about how they dominated the CUT112 from start to finish, teaming up early and going the distance and setting a new course record by over six hours. We can't forget everyone's favorite #hundojoe who seemed traumatized by the entire thing but got it done. Art gives a thorough run down of the day's events (and night's and next day's). We literally talk about feet for an hour, probably give bad medical advice again (allegedly) so you won't want to miss this one. We gloss over other races that happened, wonder where Evil Becky is and are easily impressed by yet another Ben Nephew FKT.

12 Jun 2020 | 80: Dave "Worlds End" Walker | 02:43:14
Dave Walker puts on some of the hardest races in the USA, from the tough as nails Worlds End Ultramarathon to the gnarly Black Forest 100k as well as serving as the RD of Eastern States 100 from 2017-19, he's no stranger to adversity both on the trails and off. Hear how Dave discovered running, going from a 5k up to the 70-mile Laurel Highlands Ultra in the span of under a year. Dave served his country in Iraq as a combat demolition engineer, has bowled a pretty high score on the lanes and is the father to three girls. We had a great time talking to Dave before we jackassed around and jumped from topic to topic like the CULTRA Squirrel. We talk the CUT112- Andy O set a new FKT which stood for an entire 20 hours when Sean Meehan went out the next day and ran 30:14. 09 Oct 2020 | 96: Six Days of Diarrhea | 01:56:48
Art picks the names of the episodes but I write the show notes. Art said "hey how's this name?" in reference to the title and I said "I like this other name" in reference to the alternate title and Fred chimed in with "How to Get Into Brown?" which works really well too and I thought we may have reached an impasse but alas, Art sent me the draft with his title so I lose yet again. But I have to tell you that I came back with "What Can Brown Do For You?" and we all heartily chuckled again but there's been radio silence ever since and now I can't help thinking that I offended them and they hate me. 06 Apr 2022 | 183: Oak and Law Dawg's Excellent Umstead Adventure | 02:13:11
Oak Miller and Kevin "Law Dawg" Jordan are in fact, not dead to Cultra. They are very much alive and well and we cherish them. I mean, imagine being the kind of person that cares what podcasts people listen to? As far as Umstead is concerned- Fred is like "yeah whatever, I only ran 87.5 miles, so please don't talk to me about it" but dude that is stout AF. At any rate, two members of the Cultra Fam got together and ran Umstead 100 in under 24 hours. Each helped the other to make sure they stayed on track, and the results were rad but the subsequent podcast was even radder. The Fam is alive and well, so consider being like them and throwing a dollar in the Patreon bucket... What the heck is that? It’s this: (203) 364-4368 is the number you should all save in your phones – and give a call when you are out on your runs and you just can’t get that song out of your head. The call will go straight to a voicemail and you can get that song out of your system by singing your heart out into our voicemail. 31 May 2019 | Episode 24: Outdoor Parasites | 02:10:06
OH SNAP! The Crew went deep this week on that *saucy* little magazine article about how we are parasites, ooooooh. But before that Art, Stacey and #hundojoe were buzzing with nervous energy in preparation for the #CUT112, while Becky's gigantic ankle was raring to go at the Cayuga Falls 50 and Jimmy further tries to impress his peers by trying to run the Worlds End 100k. The Crew can't stay on task because they keep laughing at some random shit, and there's a big rundown of races coming up in the next month. CULTRA Karaoke is back and it's just like running threshold pace: comfortably uncomfortable. We dive into a *ton* of new FKTs that went down in CT over the last week, week and a half. Some were fast, some were short, some were *mixed gender*, some were long AF, but there's no denying it: we are on the map, right between NY, MA and that little state with the adorable islands, what's his face? Yeah. Also, we are not a cult. #hundojoe

21 Jun 2019 | Episode 27: Running Ragged with Joseph Nuara | 02:11:40
Here’s that Run Ragged recap we promised- we’re visited by the one and only Joe Nuara, 3rd place finisher. Or 2nd to last DNF, whatever. We go deep inside Joe’s brain to see what it takes to go hour after hour after hour (29 to be exact) and what the heart of a warrior looks like- Joe gives us a really important “why” to the whole experience. He talks about his 100-mile experience from a few years back, flipping burgers with none other than #hundojoe at the NJ 3-Day. We also learn the ins-and-outs of Obstacle Course Racing life, as Joe is an elite competitor not only at ultras but also at OCRs. We also hear from the RDs perspective as Brian and Stacey not only battled sleep but the real fight- having access to unlimited Oreos and Mountain Dew (allegedly). What is it like to direct Connecticut’s premier Last Person Standing event? Find out here. Mad props to woodworking artist extraordinaire Stefan Rodriguez- that winner's trophy is the truth. We vaguely visit BleesterGate and skim over #ultradrama, because who gives a shit? Evil Becky is back and she is hilarious as she informs us that she’s all caught up on past CULTRA episodes. Finally we say goodbye to the incomparable Stacey Clark as she readies herself to move to Fort Collins, Colorado next week. It’s an action-packed episode you won’t want to miss. But if for no logical reason you are looking for some funny shit, followed by 90 minutes of drunken rambling inebriated babble, with very little nutritional, or educational value, then… whatever. I don’t know what to say, so here is what AI gleaned: The team discussed various topics including ultramarathons, aid stations, pickleball, and the Manchester Road Race, and discussed the TV coverage of the race, expressing disappointment with the lack of local expertise and knowledge of the course. The idea of providing their own commentary for the race was suggested, with a potential simulcast. The group jokes around and makes inappropriate comments, as usual. They joke about dealing with bears and having them in Christina's hot tub. The conversation becomes increasingly silly and nonsensical. Art mentions that last week's episode contained particularly explicit content that listeners should avoid. They also shared personal experiences and stories, including a humorous incident involving a "Mesh Penis Fiasco" during a run. The conversation ended with discussions on organizing unique race events, such as the "Cultra" and "drag January," and the possibility of incorporating beer drinking into these events. The conversation becomes even more increasingly silly and nonsensical and never goes anywhere.

30 Sep 2023 | 257: Adidas Trail Spanks Charlie | 01:51:49
Charlie bit me and it really hurt, but not nealry as painful as this episode is. We finally got a new Sponsor, "Trail Spanks" but we are not really sure what the product is, as most people seem reluctant to talk about it in public. We do talk about Adidas releasing a $500 shoe that is really only meant for one race effort. How much will this change the pricing structure of running shoes and how will it impact folks trying to qualify for Boston? Top 4 tips of ultra running that you wont read about in Canadian Trail Fishing Magazine. We also talk about Vermont 50, Nipmuck, Grindstone, and other happenings. (Although we fail to mention the Sam Tiberious Kirk placed 4th at Grindstone 100) And we hit the Patreon list hard!

30 Sep 2024 | 307: Camille Herron and Cultra's Second Biggest Argument Ever | 00:52:48
Not as big as the fight between Evil Becky and Hundo discussing Vermont 100, but this episode gets AFB fired up enough that he hardly lets anyone else speak as he defends Camille and attempts to slay the would be cancel dragons of social media. Honestly hard to watch this happen within our ranks and makes us wonder if the doling of punishment is more harmful to the community than the original allegedly unpardonable sin. 13 Sep 2019 | Episode 39: Cultra Crewed Family Feud | 02:13:40
What up fam? This episode gon' be LIT. #hundojoe misses his first show and we were sad but immediately got over it because LOOK A SQUIRREL! Okay first off, we got Gelato in the house. AFB, Jimmy Mac and Evil Becky recap their weeks, talk about the Tunxis Ultra results (maybe we go off on a tangent re: Ray Crothers). Congrats to all the finishers at Tunxis tho. We dive into how we choose races then Art can not let it go about LSE's FKT fest all over New England's face. Then we go off on a game of CULTRA CREWED FAMILY FEUD. Evil B was the dopest MC and we answered a shit ton of questions. Guess who won? Stay tuned my dudes. Jimmy then makes a bold claim about the Q Trail and by now you hopefully know how that turned out (add hot to garbage and stir to create a fine shit show). Peace out bitches. Fred sits down for a candid talk of what can go right during a race as well as what goes wrong and how to overcome that. 26 Mar 2019 | Episode 15: The Master of Hellgate | 01:47:31
Jerry Turk shares his stories of what the running scene is like in England, and New England and discusses the Ultra Culture of the Hell Gate 100k. Jerry is an accomplished runner, having completed the Grand Slam of Ultra Running as well as finishing the grueling Western States qualifier Hellgate 100k 16 times. He also is the Race Director for Bimblers Bluff 50K, the Bimblers Bash 10kish, race and a crucial part of the Running community. The language used in this show is explicit and raw like the trails we run on, so don’t listen to this with your kids. We don’t have sponsors at this point, instead we like to recognize the folks that support us. This week we recognize Race Director Amy Rusiecki. Amy is the Race Director for Vermont 100 as well as a few races in Western Mass. Thank you all so much for your support. We also mention that Barkleys is going on but it will be over when this drops. But mostly we try to focus, but fail miserably on the upcoming Highlights Train Festival, so at least we provided a link and included it in the episode title with the usual click bait stuff. 17 May 2019 | The Time We Surprised Stacey | 01:51:16
The Crew is at it again, this time surprising our own Stacey Clark with an in-depth interview into why she’s so awesome, and why on Earth an elite ultrarunner like her slums it with us slow old dudes. The other elite female in our crew, Becky, was AWOL so Jimmy was lifted up from the Ottoman of Shame onto the Elite Loveseat, mostly just to clumsily bump the microphone like eight times. Stacey shares with us what drives and motivates her as well as her future plans. We also talk about all the hi-jinks at the past weekend’s Blue 2 Blue Challenge, including how both Hundo Joe and Brian saved a few lives, human AND canine. Hundo Joe gears up to run for 72 hours around a one-mile loop down in New Jersey, possibly earning another HUNDO in his name. Art went running in a quarry in Vermont as he gears up to tackle the CT section of the Appalachian Trail this coming weekend and prays to not die at the #CUT112. The Battle of Mattabesett comes to a somewhat satisfying conclusion as Art and Brian coordinated adorable matching vests emblazoned with the CFPA logo and finally the CULTRA Karaoke line triumphantly returns to the pod, you won’t want to miss this one! 22 Jan 2019 | Episode 7: Long and Steep with the other Brian | 01:55:37
Joining the Cultra today is our special guest Brian Vanderheiden. No not Brian Roccapriore, he’s not that Brian. The language used in most of our shows is as explicit and as raw as the trails we run on, so don’t listen to this with your kids, and if that stuff offends you too much, this is definitely not the episode for you. Brian Vanderheiden is a really great guy who has breathed new life into the trail running scene in South West Connecticut and New York. He has run some of the toughest races in New York, and serves as a race director for the many great trail races that his company Steep Endurance puts on in conjunction with his racing team, and coaching services. We get a chance to hear the details of Steep Endurance’s upcoming races, including Mountain Lakes Backyard Ultra, a last man Standing race where you will have a chance to earn a spot in Laz’s Big’s Backyard. Time flies for us in this longer than usual episode as we also discuss a few more Facebook grievances and give you our thoughts on the trend of attacking race directors for their decisions. CULTRA Trail Running Podcast is completely out there in the ether my people, since we can't meet in person we're meeting in the virtual space. So we wax poetic on the state of affairs- Western States 100 is cancelled, so that's cool. Jimmy has been waiting eight years so what's another? Maybe we make it a cool decade- if you people can't stay the F inside and get the hell away from each other we can't have nice things, like races... anytime soon. Agenda: we talk about the Social Distance Vert Challenge, our weird weeks (Becky's was the weirdest), Mike Ortiz's living room 100 miler in an NYC apartment and Becky wants to know what kind of runner are you today?

09 Jun 2023 | 241 The CUT112 Afterparty Variety Show | 02:27:34
Evil Becky Burke, Ellie Pelle and Art F'n Byram interview a bunch of crazy beautiful people who ran across Connecticut as part of the 2023 #CUT112 Ultra Marathon, a point to point trail running event with three options: 112 Miles, 100K or 50 Mile. The courses follow the Blue Blazes of the New England Trail (NET) from the MA-CT border to the Long Island Sound in Guilford, CT. This route strings together some of the best trail running in Connecticut including Suffield Mountain, Peak Mountain, Hatchet Hill, Wilcox Park, Penwood State Park (Traprock 50k), Heublein Tower, MDC Reservoirs, Rattlesnake Mountain, Pinnacle Rock, Crescent Lake, Ragged Mountain (Run Ragged), Castle Craig, Lamentation Mountain, Chauncey Peak, Mount Higby, Powder Ridge, Tri-Mountain State Park, Bluff Head (Bimblers Bluff 50k) , Cockaponset State Forest, East River Preserve, and the Guilford Point waterfront. The Course is not marked except by the blue blazes of Connecticut Forest and Parks. Runners need to navigate themselves and know the route. We have fun with Jessica Crandall, Jamie Miller, Jacque Sarbaach, Lee Davis, Matt Geary, and Fred Wills as they recount all the fun that happens on the trails that most people don't care about! 10 Apr 2020 | 70: Canadian Trail Fishing with Jeff Grant | 02:15:44
We have local speedster Jeff Grant (and his even faster wife Mary-Louise Timmermans) checking in with us via Zoom to talk about all the FKTs they've bagged recently plus Becky getting awkward, yes- Fred's still running every day and Art being Art. Jimmy says something mildly controversial, starts a fire with his words. It's largely a Patreon shout out episode, takes us literally an hour to get through that and we announce the winner of the Week Three CULTRA Social Distance Challenge (it's Koby Nelson). We dive deep into the Quarantine Backyard Ultra and the results, Mike Wardian rules. We find out Michael J. Fox, like Jeff and ML, is actually CANADIAN. Travesty. Make America Canada Again. Jimmy reveals a possible FKT attempt he's going for this weekend and then we interview Jeff about his interesting life and how running fits into that. 21 May 2023 | Episode 240: Running the Numbers with Jessie Makela | 01:29:18
Evil Becky sits down with the talented Jessie Makela to talk ultra numbers. As long-distance runners, we are often pegged as being a bit neurotic, and there's one thing we all seem to love...NUMBERS. Whether those numbers represent distance, elevation, pace, speed, time, calories, heart rate or something else, chances are we're all keeping one or more "running" tallies. EB and Jessie talk about the joys of running and how all that number counting can both clear and clutter our path. So, can we count on you to listen in (get it...count...numbers). 12 Jan 2025 | 319: New Trail Runner’s Guide (Northeast Edition) | 01:50:40
319: New Trail Runner’s Guide (Northeast Edition) Are you a road runner looking to start trail running, a hiker intent on picking up your pace, or an experienced trail running veteran who is curious to see if you could pick up a new idea? This episode covers the Trail Running Basics, the Northeast Regional specifics, trail etiquette and safety, training & fitness and even gives some pro tips on pooping in the woods. Trail Running basics answers the questions of what gear do I need to start trail running, how to find out where to run, what the differences are from road running, how to choose between road shoes and trail shoes, and what are some of the essential items you should consider carrying on a trail run. We cover some of the Northeast Regional specifics of running on these explicit and raw trails and mention a few of the most iconic spots to run in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Maine. (Although we don’t offer any Gator safety tips) In trail etiquette & safety we discuss concepts and strategies of basic navigational safety such as “The Playpen”. What to do if you encounter a bear, rattlesnake, or perhaps the greatest threat, the dreaded tick. What are the best colors to wear or avoid, like “don’t shoot me orange” or “hi I’m a deer’s ass white”. We also talk briefly about training and fitness and how to deal with hills, and the many ways of connecting with the trail community and many of the trail running clubs in the Northeast. Then we talk shit! What are the best seasons to poop, where, when, how? What are the name brand leaves to seek out, and so much more than you ever wanted to know. 24 Apr 2020 | 72: Spanking the Monkey | 02:02:24
Episode 72? Welp, the shit starts getting really real at mile 72, so you better get up outta that chair and hang on! New Social Distance Challenge? Check! This one is all about…you’ll have to listen. Speaking of listening, we love our Patreon supporters, even the ones that don’t listen- what are we talking about? Fucking LISTEN! We dive deep into a lot of topics but most importantly we ask “what can the community do to help each other right now?” Below you will see a lot of links to shoe stores, race companies and businesses we feel could use your help during this global pandemic. If you’re not able to buy anything consider a donation to one of them. I know us humans are mostly shitty animals; we can’t smell as well as beagles, we can’t see as well as eagles (that rhymes my dudes), we can’t swim like dolphins or fly like hawks but dammit- we got to be the dominant species on this planet because of our ability to band the fuck together and cooperate. Let’s show our love to this community and support the ones that may be hurting right now. Also us extroverts are struggling right now because we like y’all and really miss high fives and hugs and group runs.

16 Oct 2020 | 97: Finn Melanson and The Hundred Mile Wilderness FKT | 02:41:22
Finn Melanson grew up in New England but truly, he's a man of the world. A restless soul in the best possible way, young Finn's spirit is too large to be confined or defined by geographical boundaries. In this episode we crack Finn open- nay, he cracks US open and we get down to the heart of the matter; what it is that makes us who we are and why the idea of "balance" is overrated. One of my favorites to record- it's truly a gem of a podcast and the knowledge and banter therein makes it sound like the Crew plus Finn are old friends out for a run, quickly bonding over their love for a sport that is equally amazing and absurd. 30 Aug 2019 | Episode 37: Beast of Byrneden 100 | 01:54:50
Michael Byrne is an ultrarunner and he started his ultra career swinging for the fences, and he recounts it all in gory detail. Hear how he ended up on tonight's show (hint: Christina Chin-Hing may be involved. Hint to the hint: she's on the SHOW TONIGHT, oh wow my third favorite triathlete!) and what amazing things he has tried and done. We get sidetracked numerous times by Jimmy's severe ADHD and he even saw a bear! Art is a full-time triathlete now, he keeps doing massive swim workouts and I'm pretty sure this time next year this podcast will be completely tri-specific. "Allegedly" Canadian Trail Fishing Magazine was just bought by Ironperson(tm) so that's gone as well, what a great mag, going to be turned into North American Trail Fishing, Shooting and Undergarments Monthly, so yeah. Wait, was I talking about? Oh yeah, HUNDO JOE is here again- he's like Cal Ripken (never misses a show).

16 Apr 2019 | Episode 18: Traprock RunsaMuck to Boston | 02:34:39
This show features all six of the Cultra crew as we discuss the happenings of this past weekend as Jimmy somehow works pooping into every conversation. We go over the Boston Marathon, Becky’s time at the Runamuck 50k, and Brian and Stacey’s first run as RD’s at the Traprock 50k where Jimmy crushed it, Art participated, and the Legend rocked an aid station. 01 May 2020 | 73: Ellie Pell | 01:52:38
Hey Cultra fam- guess what? We got Stacey back! For a few minutes tonight at least- but she'll be checking in with us a lot coming up since Art decided to send her a good microphone and good headphones, so she's really back. She checks in from Colorado to re-introduce herself. Then Fred recounts each and every day of his 14,000 day running streak... not quite, but that is rad AF. We holler at our Week 6 Cultra Social Distance Challengers, Jimmy doesn't participate in the challenge because he ran 100 miles last week. Actually 100.2, but get in the canoe. FKT scene still hot, don't get burned yo. Then our first elite guest ever checks in and Becky manages to ratchet down the awkwardness to ask some pointed and relevant questions. We love you Becky. Ellie has a great message and great vibe, stay for her story- highlights include racing in the Olympic Trials, a podium spot at JFK50 as well as talking about her own podcast "Hamstrings and Heartstrings" with some really wonderful anecdotes and her love for the Ithaca running community. Also, the show notes are written by Jimmy. Art does not have this knack for flowery prose or devastating witticisms, and he also thought Ithaca is spelled "Ithica" - I mean WTF? We got nothing folks, just mailing this one in. I mean it's good if you want to hear 100% pure uncut jackassing but if you want NEW spicy ultra content, then step off fam. No we do got some dank beta nuggets tho- a few Zen hot takes from Becky (channelling Amy Mower Power), 100-mile wisdom from Phred, Jimmy's "shitty" stories and Art's tales of woe and Desitin.
