We are joined by Kirk Davis from the Mile High Report to talk Peyton Manning and the Broncos. Davis aka Kaptain Kirk has been in attendance at Dove Valley and brings us the inside scoop on all things Broncos. We even get to chat with him about how he got involved with blogging and specifically how he came to be a member of MHR.

Charlie Yao of Roundball Mining Company joins us from San Diego to talk Nuggets. Charlie was in Las Vegas covering the team during Summer League and offers up his take on Evan Fournier, team chemistry, and much much more.

And we couldn't leave the show without talking about the Olympics. Missy Franklin, of Colorado, has captured this state's attention and is having a remarkable Olympic run at just 17 years old. We also discuss the coverage of the games and our thoughts on beach volleyball outfits, men's synchronized swimming, and Ryan Lochte.

Can you believe the Broncos found a new way to make a comeback? Well, the guys can. This Broncos team is a resilient one and both callers this week are wanting to talk Broncos ... one all the way from New York! 

Demaryius Thomas couldn't have found a better time to set career marks. The Minnesota Vikings were caught off guard at Tim Tebow's throwing abilities as the Broncos won and find themselves in a first place tie in the AFC West. The Miami Dolphins have done the Broncos two favors this season; once by losing to Tebow and Company and the other by defeating the Raiders last Sunday. Even without defensive sack master Von Miller, the Broncos found a way on defense to make a few key turnovers. 

UFC 140 is approaching as Jon "Bones" Jones looks to defend his light heavyweight title for the second time, this time against Lyoto Machida. Nate thinks it's over for one-trick ponies in MMA as Jason "Mayhem" Miller was destroyed by Michael Bisping and these new era fighters will be dominating from here on out. 

The Nuggets might have hope to re-sign both Arron Afflalo and Nene and will open the season in Dallas on December 26th to face the defending champion Mavericks. The Nuggets play one goofy back-to-back-to-back set to open February and the season will end in late-April, instead of mid-April as usual.

Ross and Nate also talk NBA Summer League as Timmons was in Las Vegas over the weekend as a member of the media getting some inside looks at the Nuggets. Chris Andersen is also discussed ... Marc Stein of ESPN had reported that Birdman would not be amnestied and that caused Nate to be quite confused and after the show, friend of the podcast, Benjamin Hochman reported that indeed Birdman WOULD be amnestied.

Plus, what happens when Ross dressed up like Peyton Manning a few Halloween's ago? He almost got pummeled - that would never happen now, right?!?

Most of the time in NBA history having the best player trumps having the best team. On the latest Mortcast Jeff gives an example in the Nuggets own history of this truism and he explains how this person in the modern league is Nikola Jokic.

Nuggets wins over the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks say more about the team than any other they have played this year. Jeff discusses measuring stick games and how Nuggets fans need to get used to the Nuggets picking and choosing this year.

Jeff also covers Joel Embiid missing his 4th straight game in Denver. He talks about the last matchup in 2019 and how Embiid hit the "altitude wall" in the 4th quarter of that game. If Embiid doesn't 'have' to play in Denver in what amounts to an inessential game for the Sixers, he won't.

Jamal Murray had his best game since 2023 against the Dallas Mavericks last night. It was great to see Jamal step up like that and it felt good to see the other Nuggets not have to work so hard. Also Jeff talks about the pressure on Jamal because of the Nuggets splitting the skills of one player into two.

A new article from ESPN just dropped, 10 years after the last big article in the website. This one wasn't as bomb thowingly hot but it still conveyed a very obvious point of view across about a difference of opinion between coach and GM. Also, Jeff ends the podcast talking about how Tommy Balcetis needs to be the public voice of the Denver Nuggets front office for the sake of everyone there.
