We hope nobody gets seasick, because this week, we're going out on the high seas of Capeside for the town's Annual Fishing Tournament! And Pacey's father is in it to win it! That's right Creekers! We finally meet the most abusive parent on television--John Witter (John Finn) on this week's episode, Season 2, Ep 12, "Uncharted Waters."
Pacey (Joshua Jackson), Dawson and Jack are all competing to win the tournament. That also means that Pacey has to put up with his terrible father for the weekend. Will Pacey win the trophy AND his father's love? Meanwhile, Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is struggling with his own parental issues with Mitch (John Wesley Shipp). And to top it off, he's shocked to see that his arch nemesis (and notorious girlfriend stealer) Jack (Kerr Smith) will be joining them for the weekend. Will these two finally bury the hatchet? Or will one of them be swimming with the fishes by the morning?
Jen (Michelle Williams) is helping Gale (Mary Margaret Humes) produce a news segment about teenage girls and consumerism. Joey, Andie (Meredith Monroe) and Abby are all helping out by giving interviews. But things go south when Abby (Monica Keena) decides to put down the other girls instead of building them up. Also, Joey (Katie Holmes) is beginning to feel like she's being replaced. Will she finally have that heart to heart with Jen? Or will she just be a bitch to her for the rest of this series?
We also discuss Asian Rom-Coms, SCREAM 2022, and a possible future meet up with the Jersey Devil! So, grab your fishing pole and bring your daddy issues because this week, we're risking our lives for that trophy while sailing on some "Uncharted Waters!"

This week we're dealing with an ignorant teacher, a very personal poem and a much-deserved DNA facial. And Jen is now starring in her own spin-off about a girl dating a boy who is definitely NOT losing his Religion. We're breaking down one of the most talked about and most important episodes of Dawson's Creek --Season 2, Episode 14, titled, "To Be or Not to Be." aka: Jack's Coming Out Story.
Jack (Kerr Smith) and Pacey (Joshua Jackson) are in Mr. Peterson's poetry class. He's given them an assignment to write a poem about what they know. Struggling with this concept, Jack decides to write about the first thing he sees when he closes his eyes.
When Peterson forces Jack to read his poem out loud to his class, Pacey defends his new friend by making some life choices even we don't think we'd make. Especially not at 16 years old.
Now Pacey has to own up to the consequences or be suspended. Which leads to a lot of tension between him and Andie (Meredith Monroe).
Meanwhile, Joey (Katie Holmes) runs to Dawson (James Van Der Beek) for advice when rumors of Jack's poem make the rounds in Capeside.
In a totally different show, Jen (Michelle Williams) is getting closer to her new beau Tyson (Eddie Mills). After much persistence, Ty shows Jen a side of himself that his Religion would most definitely not approve of.
We also discuss our drunken nights out, denial, and really wanting a Wendy's Frosty. So, grab some paper and a pen and start brainstorming a very personal poem, because we're about to be outed against our will by the most hated teacher in Capeside! Join us for "To Be or Not to Be."
We hope you enjoy this episode and have a great weekend, Creek Talkers!

This week we conclude Jack's "Coming Out" story arc with Season 2, Episode 15, titled "That Is the Question."
When Jack (Kerr Smith) and Andie's (Meredith Monroe) father suddenly shows up in Capeside, another family secret finally comes to light when Jack admits to everyone, including himself, that he's gay.
Joey (Katie Holmes) begins to feel insecure about herself after the rumor mill keeps spinning about Jack's sexuality. Meanwhile, she starts to get closer to Dawson (James Van Der Beek) again after realizing that maybe she really does need her old friend right now.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is back from his week-long suspension. While he's still not speaking to Andie since their last exchange, he has more important things on his mind--like his crusade to make an example out of Mr. Peterson.
Jen (Michelle Williams) sees another side of Ty (Eddie Mills) after he gives his unwanted opinion on Jack's sexuality.
Stephen discusses his own coming out story and Jayme is still down her rabbit hole of Asian Rom Coms. And we have more listener mail!! This might be a heavy topic this week, but we still know how to laugh and have fun. We hope you can join us as we break down this very important piece of episodic tv!
Have a great weekend, Creek Talkers!

We took a week off to deal with life, but we're back this week recapping Season 3, Episode 1, "Like a Virgin."
You guys, we're on SEASON FREAKIN' THREE!! How? Where? When did this happen?
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) meets a mysterious new woman (Brittany Daniel) on his bus ride home from visiting his mother in Philadelphia. When bus girl suddenly shows up in Capeside, our mystery woman decides to wreak some hormonal havoc on our film buff/tv show namesake.
Joey (Katie Holmes) notices Dawson avoiding her, but all she wants is to talk to him and apologize. You know, for all that stuff that happened with her dad going back to prison? After one moment of vulnerability, Joey realizes that things may never be able to be the same between she and Dawson.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is still Andie-less so he decides to buddy up with his BFF Dawson and help him find his "bus girl." After a boat accident involving Dawson and said mystery woman, Pacey comes up with a quick plan to raise some extra cash for his friend.
Jack (Kerr Smith) and Jen (Michelle Williams) have now practically become an old married couple since he moved in with Jen and Grams. After an accidental football catch and an audition to join the Cheerleading squad, both of our loveable outcasts realize that their Junior year at Capeside High might be a little bit different than they had initially thought.
We also discuss strip clubs, Bob Segar's "Old Time Rock and Roll," and how Brittany Daniel pretty much looks exactly the same in everything. So, get ready Creek Talkers because this is the year of taking V Cards! Join us as we discuss Season 3, Episode 1, "Like a Virgin."
This week wanted to say, "Welcome Home," to the podcast! If you've been a loyal listener since the beginning, we appreciate you so much! And if you're new here, we would highly recommend you start at the very beginning, Episode 1--The Pilot! Our sound quality does get better...eventually. :)
This week we're welcoming home old friends from mental hospitals, we're buying condoms for the first time, we're learning about infidelities and that gay guys can actually like football. Join us as we recap Season 3, Episode 2, "Homecoming."
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is still trying to figure out the mysterious Eve (Brittany Daniel). And all Eve wants to do is bang Dawson. Both of these things almost happen in front of a live audience. But something tells us that Dawson wouldn't have gone through with it either way. Because Dawson is Dawson.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is getting anxiety over seeing Andie (Meredith Monroe) again. He invites Joey (Katie Holmes) to tag along with him on a road trip to surprise his girlfriend, but when he gets there, he notices something just isn't the same about her. And we're not talking about her high pigtails.
Jack (Kerr Smith) is being recruited by Freshman, Henry Parker (Michael Pitt) to join the football team. But Jack is concerned about the ridicule that might occur since he is openly gay.
Jen (Michelle Williams) gives Dawson some very descriptive sex advice after finding his box of condoms.
We also discuss if Dawson was REALLY in love with Joey, if "waiting for the right person" even means anything as you get older, and Jayme gives us a (very) short song break.
So, go buy your favorite brand of prophylactics (Brown Betty's) and put your hair in some "Wendy's" style pigtails (like Andie), because this week we're breaking down Season 3, Episode 2, "Homecoming."
We're all gearing up to take the PSAT's this weekend! Did you study!? Or did you take the easy route and steal the test that was already stolen and not tell your friends about it? Does it even matter at this point? Join us this week as we recap Season 3, Episode 3, "None of the Above." There's no multiple choice here.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) receives an important gift from Eve (Brittany Daniel). When he decides to share this gift with his friends, they all become unknowing participants in a game of "Who Stole the PSAT That Was Already Stolen!?"
Joey (Katie Holmes) is having anxiety dreams. Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and Andie (Meredith Monroe) are putting the final nail in their relationship. Jack (Kerr Smith) gets some friendly advice from Henry (Michael Pitt) about how to win over his new teammates. And Jen (Michelle Williams) is still the head cheerleader.
We also discuss how Titanic has inspired Dawson's Creek, having a new perspective on this show as an adult, and some BTS gossip! So, grab your #2 pencils, get a good night's rest and make sure you have a hearty breakfast, because we're taking a test that really means nothing to our future careers. We're talking about Season 3, Episode 3, "None of the Above!"
We've got a fun episode this week! We've got football players who wear makeup, there's students skipping school, Beta Max machines. MULE MASCOTS! And a boat that really needs some "True Love!" LOLS Join us as we break down Season 3, Episode 4, "Home Movies."
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is putting together a news segment on new football star, Jack (Kerr Smith) to be aired on the 10 o'clock news. When Mitch (John Wesley Shipp) tells Dawson he's against it, we learn that COMMUNICATION is fundamental in getting your point across.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) talks Joey (Katie Holmes) into skipping school with him so he can show her his big surprise. After getting caught by Mr. Green, his punishment has them both looking like a jackass.
Jen (Michelle Williams) quits the cheerleading squad after learning that she's the winning prize for a fundraiser. When she finds out someone donated $500 to kiss her, she ends up feeling obligated to meet the man with "furry teeth and halitosis." Did someone say, "Doug Flutie Mouthpiece?"
Andie (Meredith Monroe) starts to feel guilty about stealing the PSAT when Mr. Green calls on her to discuss a disciplinary situation.
We also discuss premature cancellations, our favorite gelato and the REAL purpose of Facebook. So, get your lipstick and rouge ready for the BIG game, someone put on the Minute Men Mule Mascot costume, and fire up that Beta Max machine because we're breaking down Season 3, Episode 4, "Home Movies."
We got a HOT one in Capeside this week and it's not even summer yet! Come sweat with us as we breakdown Season 3, Episode 5, "Indian Summer."
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) and Pacey (Joshua Jackson) are having a case of the "film noirs" as they try to crack the case of just WHO exactly Eve (Brittany Daniel) really is. Will our boys figure it out by episode's end?
Joey (Katie Holmes) tries to protect Andie (Meredith Monroe) when she goes on a date with her creeper boss from the boat gas station, but Andie is too stubborn to take Joey's advice. Will Joey's concern bite her in the proverbial ass in the end?
Jack (Kerr Smith) tries to play matchmaker for Henry (Michael Pitt) and Jen (Michelle Williams) without her knowledge. Jen doesn't take the news of her new date lightly when she runs into Henry at her and Jack's secret spot. Will Jen continue her new relationship with Jack after this?
We also discuss PDA, the wonderful sense of smell, and just how many times Stephen says the word "noir" in this episode. So, grab your sexy saxophone, your portable fan, and dress lightly, because it's SIZZLING out there and we've gotta crack this case before the end of the episode! Join us as we recap Season 3, Episode 5, "Indian Summer."
We've got an ALL-NEW Episode this week. As if we wouldn't!!
We hope you're all picking out your finest outfits because we've got Capeside's Homecoming Queen Gala to attend! In the words of Constance, the Elder Freck(ling), "Splendid! Just splendid!" Join us as we breakdown Season 3, Episode 6, "Secrets and Lies."
Jen (Michelle Williams) is tasked with co-hosting the HQ Gala with the oldest living HQ Constance Freckling (K Callan). After trying to get out of it, she runs into her Freshman, Henry Parker (Michael Pitt) who she ends up bonding with over some very specifically named flowers.
Andie (Meredith Monroe) calls Joey (Katie Holmes) for help after having an altercation with Rob. After Pacey (Joshua Jackson) shows up to her rescue, she realizes that her plan to get him back might have worked. Meanwhile, Joey is confronted by Rob who pleads his case to her, which makes her question the validity of Andie's story.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is excited that Gale (Mary Margaret Humes) is back home. But when he finds out the real reason she left Philly, he tells her that Mitch (John Wesley Shipp) might be a good shoulder to lean on.
We also discuss our first "I Love You's," when it's time to throw in the towel, and what a "gay handshake" is. So, make sure your HQ Crown is all shined up, put on your best Renaissance outfit, and PLEASE don't cry wolf tonight, because we're on our way to a Gala featuring the WORST Drag Queen show you will ever see! We're talking Season 3, Episode 6, "Secrets and Lies."
~Thank You to all of our listeners who are still supporting us by downloading our podcast. And to everyone who is following/liking/sharing & engaging with our content--We do it all for you & we love you all for it! We appreciate your support SO MUCH!! THANK YOU!!~
This week we're taking a boat ride across some unknown body of water in Capeside to get to "Witch Island" where we're investigating a witch island. Are you scared yet? Because we're petrified! Join us as we recap Season 3, Episode 7, "Escape From Witch Island."
Our "Core Four" are back together this week as they head over to "Witch Island" and assist Dawson in making a film for their history class in lieu of actually writing out a paper on the Salem Witch Trials. And somehow Principal Green ok'd this and let Joey, Pacey and Jen go along with him.
Meanwhile, back at school, Andie's ridiculousness is in FULL FORCE as P. Green makes her the head of the new disciplinary team. Oh yeah, Belinda the bitchy cheerleader that Jen ousted is back. Except she has nothing to say in this episode. Literally. She has ZERO lines.
And Jack is still MIA.
We also discuss "friends with benefits," paranormal situations, and the art of not knowing when someone is flirting with you. So grab your camcorder, your compass and map and all of your ghost deterrent because we're on our way to breakdown this "Blair Witch Project" rip off--Season 3, Episode 7, "Escape From Witch Island."

Meanwhile, Pacey seeks out Joey (Katie Holmes) to tutor him in Trig since he's failing. Joey agrees, but in return, he has to be her dance partner so she can try to win a $1500 scholarship. They both agree to dance on the DL so nobody suspects anything...which is still confusing to us.
Jack (Kerr Smith), assisted by his sister Andie (Meredith Monroe), seek out another gay teen who agrees to meet up with Jack for coffee. Will Jack be able to handle living out loud as a gay man? Or will his first real date be his last?

Do you know what day it is? Are you still in your holiday coma? We know we are!🙄
This week, we're recapping the "holiday" episode of Dawson's Creek! Join us as we breakdown Season 4, Episode 9, "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang."🎄🎅
After watching a film directed by Mr. Brooks, Dawson (James Van Der Beek) decides he wants to get back in the director's chair and make a documentary about A.I. Brooks (Harve Presnell) himself.
Mitch (John Wesley Shipp) & Gale (Mary Margaret Humes) gives Gretchen their blessing to throw their annual Leery Christmas Party because it's tradition. And who doesn't love a good holiday party?
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) escorts Joey (Katie Holmes) to a very important networking dinner with the Dean of Worthington College at the CYC. While Pacey yuks it up with all the VIP's, Joey begins to feel even more out of her element.
When Jack (Kerr Smith) finds out Jen (Michelle Williams) still hasn't completed any of her college applications, he and Grams (Mary Beth Piel) concoct a plan to help Jen get hers in on time.
Dawson & Gretchen (Sasha Alexander) share a "traditional" holiday kiss under the mistletoe at their holiday party. We're pretty sure this is going to affect Pacey & Joey by the next episode.
We also talk about who's an introvert and who's an extrovert and discovering family you've never met before. 🤷♀️ So, grab your eggnog, make sure you're nowhere near that mistletoe, and bring in the holiday with tidings and good cheer, because this week we're talking "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang."

Joey (Katie Holmes) is tired! When Pacey (Joshua Jackson) tries to help her out at the B&B while Bessie is away, she becomes even more frustrated. Could her angst be all about her seeing Dawson and Gretchen kissing under the mistletoe? 🤔
Meanwhile, Dawson (James Van Der Beek) admits that he has feelings for Gretchen (Sasha Alexander). However, Gretchen tells Dawson their kiss was just "tradition" under the mistletoe. Will Dawson find the courage to let Gretchen know how he truly feels? 🥰
Jen (Michelle Williams) forces Jack (Kerr Smith) to join her at a Gay-Straight Coalition meeting so he can be around other gay teens. There, they meet Toby (David Monahan), the leader of the club who Jack does not vibe with--AT ALL! 😣
We also discuss gay friends, our eyebrows and Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors. So, grab your lonely gay best friend and force them out of the house with you because we're headed to a Coalition Meeting to break down "Self Reliance."

Happy #Friday Creek Talkers! It's FINALLY the weekend! 😄
Are you all settled into 2023yet? Because we're definitely not! Maybe this week's episode will help you out. We're recapping Season 4, Episode 11, "The Tao of Dawson."
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) finds an old letter he wrote to Gretchen (Sasha Alexander) while setting up his new baby siblings' nursery. Jack (Kerr Smith) convinces Dawson to remember what he felt when he was a kid and to give Gretchen the letter. We're hoping there's a voice-over and a montage.
Meanwhile, Pacey (Joshua Jackson) isn't too happy to know that Dawson and Gretchen have feelings for one another. While on a road trip to pick up her car, Pacey tries to get Gretchen back with her ex, Nick (Christian Kane). Too bad Pacey doesn't know what a F-Boy is yet.
Joey (Katie Holmes) gets trapped in the storage cellar of the CYC with Drue (Mark Matkevich) for the weekend. While Joey tries to find a way to escape, Drue seems pretty calm about the whole situation. 🤔
Dawson becomes concerned for Grams (Mary Beth Piel) when he discovers she and Mr. Brooks (Harve Presnell) are getting close.
Jen (Michelle Williams) is still out of town at a Phish concert, alone. 🐠🐡🐟
We also discuss how we spent our holidays, Snapchat filters and if we believe in inevitability & fate. So, put on your seat belt, get ready to dodge your ex and make sure your tires are still attached to your car so you can get the HELL outta there because we're breaking down "The Tao of Dawson."

It's Pacey's (Joshua Jackson) birthday and all he wants to do is spend it alone with Joey (Katie Holmes). Unfortunately, Joey already agreed to throw a surprise party with Pacey's family. Now Joey's confused on what to do! We're pretty sure this is going to be a shit show. 💩
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) and Gretchen (Sasha Alexander) are going on their official first date. However, when Gretchen starts to get cold feet about announcing their coupling, Dawson gives her the cold shoulder. 🥶
Jen (Michelle Williams) spends the night with Tobey (David Monahan) while finishing up her community service AND trying to set up Tobey with "gorgeous" Jack (Kerr Smith). 😘

This week we're recapping Season 4, Episode 13, "Hopeless." ❤❤

Mrs. Valentine (Carolyn Hennesy) forces Joey (Katie Holmes) and Pacey (Joshua Jackson) to go on a double date with Drue (Mark Matkevich) and ditzy rich girl, Anna Evans (Sabine Singh) If Joey agrees, she'll get the entire weekend off for the Senior Class Ski Trip. Things start to go downhill fast when Drue becomes irritated with his date. 🤦♂️😱😣
Tobey (David Monahan) enlists Jack (Kerr Smith) to become a mentor in an after-school program which Jack agrees to. When Tobey invites Jack out for coffee after, Jack realizes that he's on an unexpected date. 😲😲😲
We also discuss #Vegas, the #stress of moving and hot guys in #croptops! 😍

This week, we're breaking down Season 4, Episode 14, "A Winter's Tale."
The gang is headed on their Senior Class Trip to a ski lodge where all hell breaks loose!
After Jen (Michelle Williams) slips on ice a few dozen times, she decides to break into the mini bar to ease her pain. Jack (Kerr Smith) joins her because he wants to do something reckless. Will one drunken night of recklessness ruin their friendship?
Joey (Katie Holmes) and Pacey (Joshua Jackson) have been building up their sexual tension for 13 episodes now. While Joey is argumentative with Pacey the entire weekend, he tries to explain to her that he's willing to wait until she's ready to lose her virginity. Everyone knows that make-up sex is the best kind of sex. 😉
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is back in Capeside with a dying Mr. Brooks who made Dawson his Power of Attorney without him knowing. Now, Dawson has to make one of the toughest decisions of his life since the time he decided to break up with Joey for a BJ on a speed boat. 🍆🚤
We also discuss the anxiety of moving, the build up to sex, and the emotional hold Sister Act 2 has on 90's kids.
So, grab your skis, a box of condoms and your hairbrush because this week, we're headed to the mountains for a weekend of fun in the slopes (and the sheets!). We're recapping "A Winter's Tale."

Which means, we've got an ALL-NEW Episode for you this week! Join us as we breakdown Season 4, Episode 15, "Four Stories."
We pick right back up at the ski lodge where Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and Joey (Katie Holmes) get left behind to deal with the aftermath of her deflowerment. Pacey wants to know how good he was in bed and Joey has nothing to compare it to. Which leads to one of the most ridiculous fights between these two.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is back in Capeside handling Mr. Brooks' funeral. Grams (Mary Beth Piel) attempts to help Dawson heal by telling him to spend some time with Brooks' stuff and maybe pick something out of his that might help in the process. We also discover that Dawson is going to be coming into a lot of money. R.I.P. A.I. Brooks. 😪
Jen (Michelle Williams) is ordered to go to therapy by the school? We're honestly not sure. She's not feeling the vibe with her new therapist, Frost, and decides to split when he calls her out about her issues. Jen decides to stay and figure out if she can actually be fixed.
Dawson & Joey run into each other at the movies. They decide to skip the film and walk around and talk like old times, like when they were BFF's. When Dawson flat out asks Joey if she slept with Pacey, she freezes up and isn't completely honest with her answer.
We also discuss losing our virginity, the continuing moving saga and guys with no intestines. 💩
So, make sure you don't miss your ride back home or else you'll end up arguing with your partner about having an orgasm then later lying to your ex-boyfriend about your virginity. We're recapping "Four Stories."

Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and Joey (Katie Holmes) get the beach bungalow all to themselves...so they can BANG all night long. When they find out that Gretchen is now spending the night with Dawson, they suddenly find something to commiserate over. 😮
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) and Gretchen (Sasha Alexander) have a conversation about sex. He's a virgin, she's definitely not. When Dawson explains how he wishes that Joey and Pacey already had sex, Gretchen suddenly becomes distant and teaches the kids how NOT to lie to one another.

Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is starting to feel like he doesn't fit into Joey's life anymore. And Jen (Michelle Williams) is putting up a fight with Jack (Kerr Smith) about going to school in New York.
We have a lot to talk about in this episode. We are SO EXCITED to have Writer/Producer/AuthorGina Fattore on the podcast!
Gina has written for numerous tv shows such as King of the Hill, Californication, Gilmore Girls and her current series titled, Dare Me nowstreaming on Netflix. But most importantly, Gina was a writer and producer on Dawson's Creek during seasons 3-6 and is responsible for so many great episodes such as "The Longest Day," "True Love," "Coda," "Castaways" and "Joey Potter and the Capeside Redemption" just to name a few.
She is also the author of "The Spinster Diaries-A Novel" which is loosely based on her life.
Currently, Gina, along with over 11,000 other writers, is on the front lines of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike fighting a labor dispute against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). You can hear Gina so eloquently explain the strike in her own words in our interview!
It truly was an honor to speak with Gina who has created so many iconic storylines for this series that so many of us hold so close to our hearts. And she gave us some really great intel on what it's like working on a tv show.
We hope you enjoy the episode as much as we did recording it!

Joey, Jack and Jen are all going to college in Boston while Pacey is hiding out on a yacht at a nearby dock. Meanwhile, Dawson is in California going to film school.
Joey (Katie Holmes) is enrolled at Worthington with her new roommate, Audrey (Busy Phillips) and dealing with her snarky English Professor, David Wilder (Ken Marino).
Jen (Michelle Williams) meets a new F-Boy named Charlie (Chad Michael Murray) while Jack (Kerr Smith) is trying to navigate his social life at college.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) has a new internship for an awful up-and-coming director, Todd (Hal Ozsan).
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is keeping his location a secret from the group, only allowing Jen to come give him the scoop on everyone's life.
We were definitely in a mood while recording this episode, but we had a lot of fun just talking and vibing AND SINGING! So yes, this is a very "chat heavy" episode. And we hope you all enjoy it as much as we did recording it! 😄
Have an amazing weekend!! 🥰

Things become very tense, once again, after Dawson (James Van Der Beek) listens to the drunken voicemail that Joey (Katie Holmes) left him the night before.
Joey is unable to show Dawson around Boston because she has to drop Wilder's class that same day. So, instead, Audrey (Busy Phillips) gives Dawson a tour of Worthington.
Jen (Michelle Williams) and Charlie (Chad Michael Murray) try to get to know each other better in his dorm room. 😍
Jack (Kerr Smith) is still on the fence about pledging Sigma Epsilon until the Frat Bros tell him they know everything about him.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) gets a visit from Deputy Doug (Dylan Neal) and ends up getting a new job at a local restaurant.
We recorded this episode back in May on Jayme's actual birthday!! We hadn't spoken to one another during that past week because Jayme was out of town. So, this is a very chat heavy episode just catching up with each other. You could say we're getting "back to our roots." 😋
Today is our 2 Year Anniversary!! Can you believe it!?? We sure can't!!
❗❗We just want to say THANK YOU to all of you who are still here with us on this podcast journey. This started out as a hobby and it turned into something that we both really enjoy doing for our audience. Plus, we get to hang out every Wednesday night which is always a plus! We appreciate all of you who send us such sweet emails and dm's and who have left us reviews everywhere. And we sincerely appreciate all the follows on our socials. Making a podcast isn't super easy, it's easy enough, but it's time consuming. BUT, once that final product is put out for everyone to hear, that's what makes it all worth it. Here's to 2 more years of Creek Talk Podcast!! 💗💗💗

We've got such a great show this week with a Very Special Guest! This is also the episode where Stephen is a background actor, AND MITCH GETS ICE CREAM!!! 😱🍦😱🍦😱🍦
Please welcome Stephen's childhood best friend and co-host of the Cookbook Obscura Podcast, comedian Aubrie Williams! 👏👏👏
Aubrie and Stephen go deep as they travel down memory lane together and share some really great stories about their time working on Dawson's Creek! They share some fun personal stories about their friendship as well as some bts stories about their summer vacations in Wilmington, NC.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is back in Capeside to inform his parents that he wants to leave USC and move to Boston. Mitch (John Wesley Shipp) and Gale (Mary-Margaret Humes) don't necessarily agree with their son's decision which has Dawson leaving under bad terms with his father. 😶
Joey (Katie Holmes) sees an old friend while out to dinner. Audrey (Busy Phillips) tries to convince her to go meet up with them for old times' sake.
Jen (Michelle Williams) and Charlie (Chad Michael Murray) decide to abstain from sex for 12 straight hours to try and get to know one another better.
While deciding if he wants to pledge a frat, Jack (Kerr Smith) finds out that his potential brothers only want him in their house because he's gay.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is trying to find his footing at the restaurant and gets a surprise visit from an old friend.
❗❗Fair Warning❗❗--This episode is very long, one of our longest in a while. But hey, once we start talking, we can't stop! And we make no apologies for that! And Aubrie was a fantastic guest! We hope you all enjoy the episode as much as we did recording it!!

This week we're recapping Season 5, Episode 4, "The Long Goodbye" with returning guest, Friend of the Podcast, comedian Aubrie Williams from Cookbook Obscura Podcast to help us breakdown this very emotional episode of #DawsonsCreek. 😪
We thought it was only right to have Aubrie come back for this episode since "The Long Goodbye" was TECHNICALLY part of our time working on the show together. Even if Aubrie's scene was cut, we still have memories of this episode and we hope you all enjoy the conversation. 💗
We pick up from last week's cliff-hanger and find out that Mitch (John Wesley Shipp) has died in a car accident and Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is left to take care of the funeral arrangements and his family while trying to deal with how he and Mitch left things before he died.
Joey (Katie Holmes) is trying to be there for her best friend but realizes he just keeps pushing her away. Pacey (Joshua Jackson) lets Dawson know that Mitch's death was not his fault. Jen (Michelle Williams) and Jack (Kerr Smith) console Dawson while Grams (Mary Beth Piel) offers her help to Gale (Mary Margaret Humes).
We also discuss death, losing a loved one and just having a very odd week in general.
Have a great weekend! And enjoy the episode!

This week we're recapping Season 5, Episode 5, "Use Your Disillusion."💔
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) finally gets out of Capeside and visits an anxious Joey (Katie Holmes) in Boston for the weekend. Joey realizes that Dawson is beginning to pull away from her since his father died.
Jack (Kerr Smith) is busy with "HELL WEEK" for his frat when Tobey (David Monahan) comes to visit. When Tobey realizes that he comes second to Jack's frat bros, things become very toxic between the two.
When Jen (Michelle Williams) catches Charlie (Chad Michael Murray) out on a date with another woman, Pacey (Joshua Jackson) tries to hold her back from making an erratic decision she might regret later. Meanwhile, Pacey finds out that his boss Brecher (Ian Kahn) may be cheating on his wife.
We also discuss panic attacks and how this episode would've helped us back in the day if we actually KNEW what a panic attack was. And Stephen is concerned for Kyle and Mauricio from #RHOBH. Are you?
We hope you enjoy the episode!! 😊

We're recapping Season 5, Episode 6 titled, "High Anxiety" 😖
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is headed to Boston for the weekend to go see a therapist to help deal with his grief and anxiety. His plans take a detour when he decides to avoid that altogether to hang out with Jack (Kerr Smith) and his frat bruhs. 🙄
Jen (Michelle Williams) comes up with a plan to get back at Charlie (Chad Michael Murray) for cheating on her. 😏
While waiting to hear from Dawson, Audrey begs Joey (Katie Holmes) to go to dinner with her (Busy Phillips) and her mother, Kay (Brenda Strong) who's visiting Boston. Joey ends up defending Audrey's honor when Kay starts becoming aggressive-aggressive. 😤

Vacation is over. Stephen finally has a tan. Jayme is getting settled in Vegas. We're both back to work. And this episode was recorded way back in July. So... yeah! We apologize in advanced if anyone is confused with some of our references in our "Catch-Up" segment. 😏
This week, we're recapping Season 5, Episode 7, "Text, Lies and Videotape."
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) leans on Jen (Michelle Williams) and FINALLY goes to therapy. He also discovers that Mitch never included Lilly in his Living Will.
Joey (Katie Holmes) is busy with Professor Wilder's (Ken Marino) study group, trying to find out about this rich dead woman's letters to herself. (Spoiler Alert--we just spoiled it for you!).
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) once again wants to be a hero by trying to save Karen (Lourdes Benedicto) from her affair with Brecher (Ian Kahn).
Audrey (Busy Phillips) auditions for "Real World: Ibiza."
We also discuss why you should, "Fake it 'Til You Make it," would we get involved in a friend's affair, and why we both want a "Dr. Weir" in our lives. 😖 Jayme also goes on a tangent about Tik Tok AI's. You'll definitely want to stick around for that rant!
Enjoy!!

Pacey (Joshua Jackson) takes Karen (Lourdes Benedicto) out on a "platonic" date. Things aren't so "platonic" by the end of the night for these two. 🦞
Jack (Kerr Smith) invites Joey (Katie Holmes) and Audrey (Busy Phillips) to his winter formal at the frat house. Joey discovers that Jack is trying to pimp Audrey out to one of his frat bros. 😡

This week, our amazing Creek Talkers have the pleasure to listen to us recap one of the WEIRDEST episodes of Dawson's Creek that was ever produced. Buckle up! We're breaking down Season 5, Episode 9, "Four Scary Stories." 👻👻👻👻
Pacey, Joey and Jack are all hanging out together after seeing a scary movie. To keep their momentum going, they decide to hang out at Gram's mansion and tell ghost stories by the fire.
One by one they try to outdo each other. Even Grams eventually joins in on the ghoulish storytelling, but, we're all left a little confused as to WHY this episode was released in December and not around Halloween. And what the HELL was that last story with Jen? 😡
"Four Scary Stories" is in the vein of prior episode "The Scare" from Season 1 and Season 3's, "Escape from Witch Island." 🧙😱
Did you enjoy this episode? Was it just odd? Did you think it was S C A R Y???
Let us know in the comments!! 👇👇

This week, we're recapping Season 5, Episode 11, "Something Wild." 🎤🎶
aka: the OTHER episode where Joey sings.
Joey (Katie Holmes) finds her inner wild child and does something crazy while out with Audrey and Pacey during their Winter break. Charlie (Chad Michael Murray) tries his best F-boy lines on Joey, but she doesn't fall for it. She does, however, kiss him. Which is still vomit inducing. 🤢
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) gets a promotion at Civilization and begins a new friendship with Audrey (Busy Phillips).
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) brings Jen (Michelle Williams) back to Capeside as his official girlfriend. Gale (Mary-Margaret Humes) gives Jen some motherly advice regarding her son.
Jayme gives us an update on her cross-country trek to Las Vegas. And Stephen talks about his summer vacation.
We just want you to want us. That's all. 💖
Enjoy the episode!!
Happy Fall!! 🍁🍂

It's November already Creek Talkers!! And it's a FRIDAY!! Which means we've got an ALL-NEW EPISODE TODAY! 😊
This week, we're recapping Season 5, Episode 15, "Downtown Crossing." 😨🔫💵
We continue from the previous episode, a first for "Dawson's Creek," and we find Joey (Katie Holmes) walking all alone down a dark, desolate city street on her way to see Wilder when a man (Sam Ball) suddenly mugs her.
There's not much too this episode. We don't even get a name for the mugger. We do meet his wife named Grace (Mercedes McNab) and his daughter Sam. But the theme of this episode is definitely karma. And the writers/producers just needed an episode for Katie Holmes to shine!
This episode was so different to watch today than it was when I was younger. The story is a little unbelievable considering the drastic situations that are happening to Joey. Also, we spent so much time trying to find the song that's playing throughout the episode that we just gave up. And Jayme just did not get into this one.
But we still have fun with it! And hey, if anything else you get to hear us sing a little bit...like that's anything new. 😗
Enjoy!

This week, we're recapping Season 5, Episode 16, "In a Lonely Place" 😖🏳️🌈🍻
Joey tries to explain to Wilder (Ken Marino) why she didn't show up to his house the night of the mugging. But he doesn't want to know why, hence ending their "relationship."
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) becomes suspicious that Joey was dating her teacher when she runs into Wilder at a screening at Dawson's school.
Audrey (Busy Phillips) joins Jen (Michelle Williams) as she interviews a band for the radio station. When they split off with the two band members, Jen begins to have doubts about her relationship while Audrey gets advice for hers.
Jack (Kerr Smith) and Pacey (Joshua Jackson) go to a gay bar where Pacey gets some 90's gay panic.
We also discuss our weekends, "Rose Red" and if you need to share the same passions with your partner.
Enjoy!

This week we're driving into Season 5, Episode 17, "Highway to Hell." 🚗🎤💔
Charlie (Chad Michael Murray) begs Joey (Katie Holmes) to front his band for a gig six hours away. Audrey (Busy Phillips) convinces Pacey (Joshua Jackson) to drive them all but he's hesitant because of Charlie.
Meanwhile, Charlie and Joey become closer, and Audrey and Pacey can't keep their hands off one another.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek), Jen (Michelle Williams), Jack (Kerr Smith) and Grams (Mary Beth Piel) all go back to Capeside for Lily's birthday.
Dawson discovers that Gale (Mary Margaret Humes) may have a new "friend" in her life. Jen confides in Jack that she's breaking up with Dawson.
We also dissect Jen Lindley's character and one of us has a change of heart towards one of our most hated characters.

This week, we're recapping Episode 23, "Swan Song."🦢
Dawson's Creekis in transition...we shall now call it "Joey's Creek."
The gang is headed their separate ways for the summer! And they're all hanging out at the Capeside International Airport.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) and Joey (Katie Holmes) have an awkward goodbye. Will she go to California? Will she go to Paris? Will she stay in Capeside? Who knows!?
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) tries to get Audrey (Busy Phillips) to take him back before she leaves Capeside.
Jack (Kerr Smith) and Jen (Michelle Williams) decide they should not go to Costa Rica for the summer and instead work on their personal relationships.
Grams (Mary Beth Piel) goes to Vegas with her boy toy, Clifton! 💖
We also discuss how our Thanksgivings went because we recorded this back in November! 🦃
💥EDITORS NOTE: We had a little hiccup recording this episode. We were having technical issues with the internet and then for some reason Stephen's laptop just decided to reboot itself in the middle of our recording. When we came back, we just continued talking and when we were finished, we realized we never hit RECORD! 😭
So, this is a second take! We hope you enjoy it! 👍

This is it Creek Talkers...the beginning of the end of our Dawson's Creek rewatch.
This week, we're recapping Season 6, Episode 1, "The Kids Are Alright." 💏🎂
The summer is over, everyone is starting their sophomore year. We get a few new characters and some new sets. But more importantly, Joey and Dawson finally have sex! ON HER BIRTHDAY!

Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and Audrey (Busy Phillips) are back from California. While Pacey is trying to find a new job, Audrey is stuck trying to relive her summer.
Jack (Kerr Smith) is FINALLY sowing his oats and banging some college guys. 😉
We are definitely not on the same page in regard to Joey and Dawson, but we agree to disagree.

This week, we're recapping Season 6, Episode 2, "The Song Remains the Same."🎶🎶
We pick up right after episode 1 ends. It's the morning after and Dawson and Joey have consummated their situationship. Things are going to be AMAZING!! Right...?
WRONG!
Joey (Katie Holmes) finds out that Dawson (James Van Der Beek) was seeing someone in LA before sleeping with her.
Audrey (Busy Phillips) is struggling with facing reality while Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is struggling to find his place in life.
Jen (Michelle Williams) meets a new boy on campus, CJ (Jensen Ackles) who asks her for a favor.
Jack (Kerr Smith) has the hots for his new Professor.
We have a mild debate regarding the way Dawson handled the situation with Joey, but we do agree that communication is KEY in any relationship.
Also, a latte is NOT an appropriate breakfast after banging all night. We're just putting that out there.
Enjoy the episode!
