25 Oct 2022 | Season 8: Episode 02: Lorraine Copes | 00:36:51
I am so excited to introduce you to Lorraine Copes, the founder of Be Inclusive Hospitality. BIH is a non-profit organisation set up to advance racial inequality in hospitality, food and drink. Launched in 2020, Lorraine’s background working some of the most well known restaurant brands, has paved the way for her to really shine the light on the lack of diversity within the industry and make the much needed changes, as well as educate and coach companies on how to better the workings of their companies. We talk about the rather shocking stats within the hospitality world when it comes to ethnic minorities working in the industry, how she set up the business and why Jamaican food is just so good! 13 Dec 2022 | Season 8: Episode 09: Paul Feig | 01:04:58
I am finally joined by Hollywood royalty!! It only took 8 seasons to get there! Paul Feig popped over for a chat, and a couple cocktails to talk all about directing Bridesmaids (my fav film ever!), what the life of a director is really like and why he prefers his martinis stirred NOT shaken. Paul Feig has been a main player in the entertainment industry for years, and has put his hand to the likes of the aforementioned film, the Ghostbusters remake, The Heat, Spy and Freaks and Geeks to name but a few. He is also a master cocktail maker and recently released his first cocktail book; Paul Feig’s Cocktail Time. Throughout the episode, Paul made me a couple cocktails and I subsequently got drunk. Success all round! Enjoy this episode, it’s a really fun chat! Music by @casnova____ I am beyond excited to announce that I have partnered with Magimix for Season 8 of Crazy Sexy Food! This week I’m joined by a woman I’ve admired for years. Amanda Ross is the founder – alongside her husband – of Cactus TV, the production company that makes Saturday Kitchen and Between the Covers. As the nation’s most popular live cooking show, I’ve avidly watched Saturday Kitchen for years and to then realise the brains and powerhouse behind it was a strong female, I just had to get Amanda on. We talk all about her childhood growing up in Essex, the changing landscape of TV and what it takes to make it in food TV. We discuss the plethora of incredible chefs she’s worked with over the years and what really goes on behind the scenes of a live show. I find Amanda truly inspiring and absolutely loved this conversation! I hope you do too.

20 Dec 2022 | Season 8: Episode 10: Ronni Ancona | 01:07:54
This week I am joined by one of the funniest women alive, Ronni Ancona. Best known for her time on the BBC’s The Big Impression starring alongside Alistair McGowan, Ronni’s impressions of some of the most famous faces in pop culture has made her a bit of a national treasure! I thought it would be a brilliant, lighthearted episode to end the season with, as she talks about her childhood growing up in Scotland, breaking into the comedy world and why she has soooo much to thank Yotam Ottolenghi for! She gives us a very performance of some of her best impersonations…. Wait until the end for the best of them all! Thank you for tuning in this season, and for watching it too! Message me on Instagram about all your thoughts and feelings, and I will be back on your airwaves with more of the good stuff early next year. 15 Nov 2022 | Season 8: Episode 05: Maimie McCoy | 01:00:34
What a gorgeous woman Maimie McCoy is! The British actress came over for a chat about her childhood growing up in a restaurant in Yorkshire, her nostalgic memories of both our childhood restaurant San Lorenzo, and how she learns her lines for each production she’s on. We talk about her brilliant career, working on productions such as ITV’s Van der Valk, the BBC’s The Muskateers and the film The Virgin Territories. We bond over our love of Adam Garcia, and what it was like to act and dance alongside him on their latest project. And of course, we talk all things food; her brother’s former restaurant, Ducksoup, in London, her favourite crisps and which country has the best catering on set! 29 Nov 2022 | Season 8: Episode 07: Clare Smyth | 00:56:35
This week the powerhouse that is Clare Smyth MBE, joins me in my humble kitchen to talk all about being a Michelin starred chef, running 2 restaurants on opposite sides of the world and what it’s really like for a female chef in the restaurant industry. This was a real honour for me and I was definitely fan girl-ing! Clare is the only female chef in the UK with 3 Michelin stars and is a fierce, fabulous woman in what has been a very male dominated industry. It was so interesting getting into the mind of a chef; how she approaches her work, how she supports her staff and the food she creates. I was incredibly lucky to get to her restaurant, Core, after filming this episode and I can honestly tell you it was one of the most memorable and delicious food experiences of my entire life. Today is not only the tenth and final episode of the season (sad times!!) but it’s a special episode, recorded all the way from Sri Lanka!! 25 Jun 2024 | Season 10: Episode 06: Camilla Kerslake & Chris Robshaw | 00:49:58
For the season finale, I had to get my favourite couple on! Camilla Kerslake and Chris Robshaw are the perfect mix of fun, cheeky, talented and inspirational! In this episode, we talk all about how food is so intertwined in both their careers as a classical singer (Camilla!) and a pro ruby player (Chris). We discover Chris’s love of win and his entry into wine investments, and we find out all about Camilla’s pregnancy cravings. The conversation is cheeky, funny and full of laughs as I managed to squeeze the three of us in bed in our suite at the Four Seasons Hotel. Thank you to everyone who’s listened this season, it’s been a whirlwind of a ride as I recorded the episodes both before and after having a baby (and technically on the day of!). I’ll be back with another season sooner than you think….!

**I’m delighted that this season of Crazy Sexy Food is headline sponsored by premium appliance manufacturer, Miele. Over the last few years, I have got close to this incredible brand through Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park festival, where I have had the pleasure to watch (and eat!) dishes prepared by some of the UK’s finest chefs using Miele. I was also invited to a special event by the brand at the fabulous Exton Park, which features Miele throughout, with lunch cooked by one of the UK’s most exciting and innovative restaurateurs, Tommy Banks.
If you are on a kitchen journey, I would highly recommend a visit to one of its Experience Centres where you will not only receive bespoke advice but can also join one of the many courses to experience its appliances first hand, including getting to enjoy lots of delicious food. Excitingly it’s opening a new Mayfair store which is just opposite the Ritz - a great way to spend an afternoon!
This year is an exciting milestone for the family-owned company who will be celebrating its 125th anniversary, and while Miele continues to innovate, it stays true to its motto “Immer Besser”, which means Forever Better. The majority of its products are put through tough durability tests during the development phase to simulate 20 years use - for ovens this includes opening and closing the door 24,000 times!
To celebrate the partnership, Miele is kindly giving my listeners 10% off its fabulous appliances on miele.co.uk or through its Experience Centres until September 2024 with the code CRAZYMIELE

22 Nov 2022 | Season 8: Episode 06: Lerato | 00:58:52
This week, Lerato Umah-Shaylor joins me to talk all about the beauty of African cooking. Her new cookbook, Africana, takes us on a journey from north to south, east to west; celebrating all that the continent has to offer. We discuss the politics of jollof rice, and I blow her away with my own jollof rice, which she loved! She opens up about her incredibly interesting childhood both here in the UK and in West Africa, and she explains to me why African food in general is finally having a moment. 21 May 2024 | Season 10: Episode 01: Prue Leith | 00:49:29
I am back!!! It only took a year but I am here, live and direct, Season 10 baby! I am so incredibly excited to be back on the airwaves giving you that little dose of crazy, sexy foodie chats with some brilliant guests, and how else do I kick off the season than with the Dame herself, Prue Leith!
She joined me in bed at the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, over some delicious room service and we spoke all about her seven years judging The Great British Bake Off, why she loves pina coladas, Paul Hollywood’s eyes (I had to!) and her wonderful childhood growing up in South Africa.
Prue is a force to be reckoned with. At 84 years of age, she is still rocking our screens as well as her jazzy glasses and I hope I can be only a fraction of who she is when I am in my 80s! Long live the dame!

What a true gent this man is. This is a conversation full of laughter, but also touches on the story behind Avelino’s music and what inspires him; the streets he grew up on, the struggles he and his peers faced, and the state of the country we live in when it comes to discrimination, racism and crime. A brilliant chat with a brilliant man. Enjoy!

02 Mar 2020 | Episode 01: Jada Sezer | 01:09:46
In this episode, I get to hear all about how she got to where she is now, her work as an ambassador with UN Women, running the London Marathon in her underwear(!) and I was even introduced to her secret cupboard of chocolate and crisps! We spoke about the challenges faced with social media, Instagram and how she deals with photo retouching. Last year she turned down the opportunity to go on Love Island, and we speak about why this was such a good move for her; she still has full control over her image and message. Hosted on Acast. 10 Mar 2020 | Episode 02: Kish Kash | 00:54:23
I got to sit down with Kish Kash, a cultural archivist and all-round cool dude about town. He owns the largest sneaker collection I’ve ever seen and loves his food just as much as I do. He came over to mine for cake and chats; we discussed all things sneakers, streetwear, food and restaurants and he even had the cheek to try and get me to cook for him afterwards! We delve into Kish Kash’s childhood growing up in an Indian family outside of London and how music and football provided a huge inspiration for him as a young boy. His love of food stems from his mum’s incredible cooking and nowadays he hits up all the great spots around London – he’s even provided me with some fantastic recommendations! It was really interesting to pick his brain about the current climate of the fashion world, namely the urban wear sector and how the new generation these days are consuming. Make sure you listen on until after the credits to hear some very funny outtakes that Kish didn’t know were being recorded! @kishkash Music produced by @casnova____ Hosted on Acast. 17 Mar 2020 | Episode 03: Twice The Health | 01:10:29
Given the current worldwide climate we find ourselves in, this week's episode couldn't come at a better time! For all you running and fitness enthusiasts – this episode is for you! It was so exciting to finally sit down one-on-one with Emily and Hannah, health and fitness influencers and ladies behind my favourite run club We Are Runners. I have them to thank for getting through my gruesome training runs for my London Marathon debut last year! We talk all things nutrition, life balance, extreme ultra marathons through deserts and – of course – our love of food! We delve into Hannah’s experience running 250km through the Jordanian desert last year (gulp!) as well as their love of ultra marathons and why and how they tackle them. We debate the social media culture we live in now and how it plays a huge part in our fitness and wellbeing mentalities. And I finally open up about my marathon experience last year and the emotions that came with the experience. @twicethehealth @wearerunnersuk Music by @casnova____ Hosted on Acast. 24 Mar 2020 | Episode 04: Richard Young | 00:32:47
I got my dad on the podcast!! Clearly all professionalism went out the window during this week’s sit down, but whilst we could, we delved into his childhood growing up in Hackney and the Jewish food he was surrounded by. We discuss how he got into the world of showbusiness and the wonderful celebrities he has photographed over his 45 year career. He praises his wife – my mum – as the best cook out there hence why he doesn’t know how to cook a thing (well, he knows how to make burnt toast) and he explains why he loves food shows and the late Anthony Bourdain. It was a pleasure having Dad on! @richardyoung110 Music by @casnova____ Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

I was delighted to catch up with Millie before the imminent arrival of her baby girl. We met at her fabulous new home and ate lemon drizzle cake and discussed her childhood growing up in a foodie family, how she approaches fitness whilst pregnant and her new collaboration with Body By Simone. We delved into her time on Made In Chelsea and how she dealt with the fame and change of path it created for her. We bonded over some awful fashion choices we made in the early 2000s as well as foods we love and hate! And she disclosed the most fabulous dinner party guests she’d invite to her dream dinner! @milliemackintosh @crazysexyfood @hannahharley Music by @casnova____ Hosted on Acast. 07 Apr 2020 | Episode 06: Honey & Co | 00:59:53
I was so excited to sit down with the couple behind my favourite restaurants! It was a real fangirl moment! We spoke about their lives growing up in different parts of Israel, Jewish food, moving to the UK and working in different kitchens until they started at Ottolenghi and helped open many of Yotam’s outposts. And then we got to talk real business – opening Honey & Co and delving into the processes behind some of their most famous dishes! I loved hearing about their different upbringings and the food they were around as children, their time in the Israeli army and their transition to working in kitchens. Their journey as cooks was up and down and we realise that we used to work opposite each other when they were at Ottolenghi in Kensington! I even got to ask them the secret behind their infamous cheesecake. If you know, you know! @honeyandco @crazysexyfood @hannahharley Music by @casnova____ Hosted on Acast. I have so much to thank these two for! I experienced my first ever retreat last year with these two at their outpost in Mallorca. I was sent out to document my time through my eyes and lens. And I came back a different person – if only all my assignment were like this! The Body Camp is the leading holistic, transformational retreat destination; a perfect blend of fitness, wellness and the best plant based food courtesy of Ben! I drove to Surrey and interviewed the guys at the new home of The Body Camp UK – a beautiful country house with swarming grounds. We talk all things fitness, wellness, plant based food (and the pros and cons of keeping such a diet), and the ethos behind the brand and how they’ve set themselves apart from other retreats on offer. We delve into their unique childhoods growing up above a pub and helping their dad out on a daily basis, and I get to really find out the nitty gritty behind the brand and the incredible staff and experts they have helping them lead the retreats and how it’s such a transformational experience. At some point, everyone needs to go and experience The Body Camp – take my word for it! @thebodycampibiza @thebodycampmallorca @thebodycampuk Hosted & created by @hannahharley Music by @casnova____ Hosted on Acast. 21 Apr 2020 | Episode 08: Theresa Roberts | 00:35:51
What a woman Theresa Roberts is! Born and raised in Jamaica, sent over to the UK by her parents at 7, where she then embarked into the world of art, property and philanthropy in her adult life. She owns what has been regarded one of the most beautiful properties in the Caribbean, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. And if that wasn’t enough, she created and launched the Jamaica Patty Company, selling the most delicious Jamaican patties this side of the Atlantic. We discuss her incredibly idyllic childhood growing up in her home country and her thoughts on the UK when she was brought over as a young girl. Her love of art and entertaining is ingrained in her blood; she supports both Jamaican and British artists and has had the likes of Usain Bolt and Sean Paul at her house, Hanover Grange, in Jamaica! In 2013 she opened the Jamaica Patty Company in Covent Garden, London, which she details as the hardest venture she’s achieved to date. We recorded inside the restaurant and hysterically got interrupted halfway through as Theresa had to go and tell off her staff for not working whilst she had her eye off them!! Please go and visit the Jamaica Patty Company and you’ll understand why her patties and food are the best example of true Jamaican flavour and taste in the UK. @jamaicapattyco 26 New Row, Covent Garden, London Hosted & created by @hannahharley Music by @casnova____ Hosted on Acast. 28 Apr 2020 | Episode 09: Mark Wogan | 00:49:02
It’s the final episode of season 1!!! I feel quite emotional writing this! But there was only one way to end this incredible season, and that was with PIZZA! My favourite food in the world! What a pleasure it was to sit down with Mark Wogan, the man behind the leading pizza restaurant in London, Homeslice. Famed for its 20-inch New York sized pizzas, Homeslice is at the forefront of innovative pizzas, toppings and overall experience at any of its 6 locations. Mark and I speak all about his childhood growing up in a foodie background, working as a chef at places such as The Neal Street Restaurant and The Groucho Club before moving onto the serious matter of pizza. He may have a serious love for good food (in particular, oysters at the bar at Bentley’s) but his real love and dedication is very much within the Homeslice brand. Their pizzas are seriously good, and I am not being biased – I’m just a connoisseur. Such a fan that I am, Mark invited me to come and have a pizza masterclass with the head chef, Morris, before we recorded the podcast. The video and slightly embarrassing efforts on my part can be seen on the Crazy Sexy Food YouTube channel. It’s definitely worth a watch! And so I leave you, but not for long. Stay tuned for an even better Season 2. In the meantime, catch up on our daily antics on Instagram, and the aforementioned YouTube channel. Melissa Hemsley is a dear friend of mine and the poster girl for delicious, wholesome cooking. Not only beautiful on the outside, she’s rather fabulous on the inside too. We discuss how her and her sister, Jasmine, came to make a name of themselves as the duo Hemsley & Hemsley, cooking for a whole host of celebrities, as well as delving into her personal journey as a cook. She speaks up about important issues such as sustainability, eating locally and by season. And she discusses her very interesting Filipino heritage and how it’s played a part in her career. As a close family friend, Stephen and I have known each other for a while, but I had never sat down with him to really delve into his life story and how he came to be a jewellery designer to the stars. From his humble beginnings in Kent, to art school and apprenticeships, his time living in Canada was a very touching story and tribute to the effects of depression and it’s link to eating disorders – in men. More recently, his venture into restaurants as well as living with a very foodie wife, Stephen speaks eloquently about the food he loves and the places he eats in. We bond over our absolute love for a packet of Monster Munch, the best crisp in the world, which is why I have such respect for him!! 30 Jun 2020 | Episode 03: Ching He Huang | 01:01:24
My first TV chef! How exciting! What an eye opening, inspiring conversation I had with Ching. As a young child growing up in Taiwan, she opened up to me about the family dynamic of living on a farm, eating together and the foods they would eat as a whole community. She relives her life in South Africa, where she then had to leave due to the unrest in the late 80s, and her journey to becoming a TV chef and business owner in the UK. She discusses the difficulties she faced when opening her first food business at aged 21, Fuji, and how she balanced this along with her burgeoning TV career. We obviously spent a lot of time talking about the intricacies of Chinese cooking, the flavours and spices, and she perfectly explains to me the difference between a frying pan and a wok!! I’ve known Femi Oyeniran for over 10 years now, but such as life, we’ve been absent from eachother’s lives for a while. It was such a pleasure to sit down, catch up and hear about his world domination; whilst trying to fit in some food chat around it! He discusses his chance meeting with Noel Clarke, which catapulted him into his acting career, as Moony in Kidulthood and Adulthood, his time at LSE studying for a Law degree, his plans as a writer and filmmaker, and why this time, finally, the current Black Lives Matter movement is really going to make a change. What a joy it was to sit down with Rebecca Ferguson! We hadn’t met before this, but by the end it felt like we’d been friends for ages! We delved into her upbringing in Liverpool, the beginnings of her music career and the experience she had on the X Factor. I also find out her signature dishes she’s been whipping up during CO-VID - including homemade strawberry jam!! Rebecca was very open in discussing her experience on The X Factor, the fame she was catapulted into overnight, and explains that nothing is what it always seems. She is now back with new music, collaborating with the main man Nile Rodgers! I feel like she’s got her mojo back and she’s back bigger and better than ever! We also tackled some very poignant topics in regards to the pressures you are under, to look a certain way when in the limelight. Her frankness and honesty was appreciated. 21 Jul 2020 | Episode 06: Sami Tamimi | 00:41:52
I don’t usually fangirl over my guests but I must say I did over Sami Tamimi. He and Yotam Ottolenghi have created the menu I have devoured over the last decade, and are responsible for bringing sumac, za’atar and tahini into your cupboards. What a pleasure it was to talk all things Palestinian food with the man behind the new cookbook, Falastin. From his upbringing in Palestine, when he’d be kicked out of the kitchen by all the females in his family, to becoming head chef at some of the most notable restaurants in Tel Aviv, Sami discusses his coming to London, meeting Yotam and eventually creating the string of delis and subsequent restaurants that have shaped the London food scene. His new cookbook (co-written with Tara Wigley) delves into his homeland; the beautiful place that is Palestine. Through the media, we are filtered the political unrest and negativity, but Sami perfectly writes about Palestine through the stories of its inhabitants; empowering stories about resilience, optimism and strength. The recipes are easy to make, for the home cook and are absolutely delicious (I’ve already tried a few myself!). Faya Nilsson exudes such calmness and great energy that I had to get her on the podcast to find out her secrets! Whatever it may be, the Swedish beauty did not disappoint in this week’s chat. We delve into her childhood growing up in rural Sweden, setting up Fitness On Toast as a way to communicate with her clients, and some of the bizarre foods she has tried over the years! We talk about the pros and cons of social media when connected to our physical and mental wellbeing, and how it can be used a great, positive tool, whilst also identifying the fine line crossing into dangerous territory. We’re sold the idea of anti-aging and how products will reverse the inevitable, but why don’t we just change our mindset? We’re all going in the same direction, so let’s embrace it and help ourselves along the way! This is all about lifestyle and it’s never too late to change things up. When it comes to food, Dr. Paul explains to me it’s all about moderation not restriction. He discusses his Italian-Jewish heritage, his favourite pastrami sandwiches and his absolute love for the perfect chocolate chip cookie. Music by @casnova____ This season is sponsored by Future Farm. This week I’m joined by Candice Brown, the winner and star from The Great British Bake Off, pub landlady of The Greenman in Eversholt, charity campaigner and all round great girl! We sat down just before the Christmas madness and spoke all about her experience on Bake Off, how it changed her life and catapulted her career, and the path she has travelled since. 25 May 2021 | Season 4: Episode 11: Disciples | 01:38:54
Let me just put a PSA out there; this is the most hilarious, raw and explicit episode I have recorded yet! This week is all about Disciples, the house DJs and producers and the men behind the global success hit, How Deep Is Your Love? Which featured Calvin Harris. I call them my friends, but tried to be as professional as possible. I’m not sure I succeeded? You can be the judge of that! I sat down with the boys in their studio, the drinks were flowing (oops) and we covered everything from writing their global hits, their multicultural backgrounds and how they measure their success all the way from growing up in Croydon, to now eating at Nobu. This was one of my favourite chats ever, the boys are such characters but really opened up about some important topics. P.S. make sure you listen to the very end for a big surprise!! Well, I finally got Matt over to mine – he was a little hungover and asked for a Ribena (legend) and he opened up about his career as a chef working for Marco Pierre White and for himself, as well as the time Marco fired him! 19 Oct 2021 | Season 5: Episode 03: Dan Saladino | 01:15:43
Dan Saladino is one of those rare gems you meet who really change your outlook on life. The journalist and broadcaster, best known for fronting BBC Radio 4’s The Food Programme knows everything there is to know about food. He has a new book out “Eating to Extinction: The World’s Rarest Foods and Why We Need to Save Them”, which details unbelievably interesting stories about some of the most endangered foods around the globe, such as a wheat found in Turkey, a particular honey found in Tanzania, and something we all know about – wild Atlantic salmon. His Italian heritage played a huge part in his youth, and Dan speaks so eloquently about his childhood summers in Italy. This led us onto the all-important topic of pizza and what should and shouldn’t be on a pizza! 09 Nov 2021 | Season 5: Episode 06: Marco Pierre White | 01:19:08
This is a biggie!! All cards on the table, the question sheets have been ripped up. I went up to The Rudloe Arms and spent a day with the man, the myth, the legend, Mr Marco Pierre White, and all I can say is that it was one of the most profound experiences of my life. His generosity and honesty throughout our chat, as well as the day spent together is something I will never forget. He talks about his humble beginnings in Leeds and tragic loss of his mother at such a young age, his life as a chef and the reputation that came with it. And he expresses his love and admiration for the great Anthony Bourdain, also my biggest inspiration in life. Marco is a unique character; he’s a romanticist. And the structure of this recording is like none of my other episodes, and that’s why it will go down as one of the greatest moments in my career. You’re in for a treat. 14 Dec 2021 | Season 5: Episode 11: Francesco Mazzei | 00:40:20
I hate goodbyes!! What a season it’s been, thank you so much for continuing to support and listen to the podcast; I can’t tell you how much joy doing all of this brings me. Before I leave you for a couple months, I sit down with well-known chef and probably one of the most successful Italian imports, Mr Francesco Mazzei. You may recognise him from his many TV stints, or you may have frequented one of this 3 fabulous restaurants in London. We recorded this episode from Sartoria in Mayfair a couple months ago and we were visited by his Truffle Pusher before recording so the aroma whilst recording was sublime! He gave me a delicious tiramisu to eat whilst we recorded and discussed his childhood in Calabria, seasonal cooking, how he made nduja sexy and how he auditions the chefs that want to come and work for him. I left with one of his homemade chilli jams and a new found respect for regional Italian cooking! @chef_francescomazzei @crazysexyfood @hannahharley www.crazysexyfood.com Music by @casnova____ This season is sponsored by Gorillas, the sexy grocery delivery app revolutionising online shopping. 08 Feb 2022 | Season 6: Episode 01: Jason Bell - SUPER BOWL SPECIAL! | 00:35:30
I’m back! Season 6 is here!!! I am soooo excited to be back on the airwaves doing what I love. This season is going to be so much fun, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do making it! I’m joined by ex-NFL star, Jason Bell. We thought we’d honour the biggest sporting event in the world – The Super Bowl – which is played this Sunday and what better way that getting the ex-New York Giants, The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans player on to talk all things American Football, the relationship between food and sport, as well as the effect on players mental health. This was such an interesting, eye opening conversation and I really appreciated Jason’s honesty. We obviously talk all about the Super Bowl – who he predicts will be in the final, and most importantly – what he eats on Super Bowl Weekend!! It’s serious business!! I hope you enjoy the episode and if you’re watching the Super Bowl this weekend, wherever you may be, take note of Jason’s predictions and dedicate a chicken wing to him (and me of course)!!! 15 Feb 2022 | Season 6: Episode 02: Five | 00:59:18
What a special episode this was, getting to sit down with one of my favourite childhood boybands, Five! They’re back with a new album after 20 years and I got to chat to them all about it! The three of them, Scott, Ritchie and Sean, all admitted they’re much healthier than they used to be; in fact, none of them had eaten breakfast as they’re all intermittent fasting!! We cover everything: Scott’s bizarre food phobias, Ritchie’s childhood nickname and Sean’s love of anything spicy! They also reflect on the early days of their career, how lonely it was, the crazy world of fame and how food had very little importance! What a bunch of lovely lads, my younger self was pinching myself during this chat! I even asked them what their favourite Five song was! 22 Feb 2022 | Season 6: Episode 03: Adjoa Andoh | 01:05:39
It had been a long time coming to get this brilliant woman onto the podcast, and we finally did it after months of planning! Adjoa Andoh has been on our screens and stages for years, and currently plays the incredible Lady Danbury in a little-known show called Bridgerton! She talks about her wonderful upbringing with a real mixture of food and cuisines being around her English mother and Ghanaian father and she dissects what Ghanaian food is and her memories of it. We also had an interesting conversation about the state of the food and farming industry. How bad cheap food (namely meat) and factory farming is. She discusses the different mediums of acting and we obviously touch on Bridgerton; it’s global success, Shonda Rhimes and the character of Lady Danbury I discover the shocking food available on film sets, and she explains how she works around it. But to make a sad story happy, I find out just how much she loves sherry trifle!! Music by @casnova____ I am so excited to be partnering up with Gorillas again this season! 01 Mar 2022 | Season 6: Episode 04: Marcus Wareing | 00:46:44
It was an absolute honour (and somewhat nerve wracking) to have Marcus Wareing join me in my kitchen for a chat this week. He came in, saw my stew bubbling away on the stove, gave me some lifechanging tips and then sat down with a cuppa and spoke to me all about his life growing up in Southport, his boxing days, and his experience coming to London to work at The Savoy and Le Gavroche. He discusses the difference between the chefs of his day to present day and how the training has changed, producing a different kind of chef. And we talk all about receiving his first Michelin star at 26! Marcus released his ninth cookbook last year – Marcus’ Kitchen and has a new TV show starting called Tales from a Kitchen Garden. It’s a new concept for him; all about his place in East Sussex, it’s garden, growing produce and rearing animals and all the bits inbetween! 08 Mar 2022 | Season 6: Episode 05: Martin Kemp | 00:40:57
This week I have a true showbiz superstar joining me, Mr Martin Kemp! He’s done it all; music, TV, film and even GBBO! He popped over and talked all about his time in Spandau Ballet, and the huge success they had overnight. He commends his time on Eastenders, where he played bad boy Steve Owen as saving his life after a very traumatic experience with a brain tumour. The man is still as gorgeous as he was when he first entered the limelight, and is showing no signs of stopping! He discusses how he loves working with his family; namely his son Roman, a successful presenter, and his wife Shirley (who he adores!), who was part of Wham! Food wise, Martin explains the importance of a certain pie and mash shop near where he grew up in Islington and why Bounty bars are SO important to him!! 15 Mar 2022 | Season 6: Episode 06: Lawrence Okolie | 00:34:35
I am FINALLY joined by my first world champion boxer this week! Lawrence Okolie sat down with me just after retaining his WBO Cruiserweight title (well, not literally straight after, but you know what I mean!). He may have zoomed in from his bed (!), but the champion spoke all about growing up in a Nigerian household and how he STILL doesn’t know how to make jollof rice, his unique success story and his book, Dare to Change Your Life. He opens up about his relationship with food as a child; he was overweight and bullied and sought comfort in food and we bond over the fact we both used to skive of off school sports. As an athlete, he explains how he structures his time in the lead up to a fight, sparring with Anthony Joshua and why he decided to become vegan! 22 Mar 2022 | Season 6: Episode 07: Crystelle Pereira | 00:54:53
Crystelle Pereira is the rising star we all need to know about. If you’re an avid GBBO then you’ll know exactly who she is! Not only is she my first ever GBBO contestant, but she came over for baclava and a glass water (!) and gave me in inside scoop of how the show works, what it’s like to film in secret for 6 weeks and her favourite bakes from the season. We touch on her Goan Portuguese heritage where she explains the cuisine - did you know Vindaloo originates from Goa?! Me neither. We discuss Focaccia-gate! And talk about how we are never in control of things in life and that everything happens for a reason. Crystelle is at the beginning of her career and I predict great things for this gorgeous woman! 29 Mar 2022 | Season 6: Episode 08: Nobu Matsuhisa | 00:46:54
When I started Crazy Sexy Food, I wrote a list of dream guests I’d love to have on. If you’d seen it, you would have laughed and told me “Yeah Right!”. So, when I got the call a couple weeks ago that Nobu Matsuhisa was in town to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Nobu London Park Lane, and he was doing a select number of interviews and that CSF was in the running I could not believe it! But here we are. And here I was, in this episode, sitting down with the man himself discussing his life in food, dealing with childhood trauma, setting up his business 50 years ago and his meeting with Robert De Niro. Nobu is a gentle but very fun man. He was so incredibly open and hospitable; this really has been the greatest honour. He eloquently discussed the hardships in his life, namely when one of his restaurants burnt down and he lost everything. This in turn lead to depression and suicidal thoughts. He managed to use his inner strength and family support to start again, and here we are, all these years later, and he’s still at the helm of the global empire! This was an honour of the highest level, and being in Nobu’s presence is something I will never forget. I hope you enjoy this chat as much as I did recording it. 12 Apr 2022 | Season 6: Episode 10: Jack Savoretti | 01:04:25
What a charming chap musician Jack Savoretti is! It had been a long time coming but we finally sat down to talk all about his Italian heritage, childhood family dinners and some of his naughty food vices! He’s currently on tour so we talk all about finally being out there performing live, his new album, Europiana and he opens up about the music industry; the difficulties he overcame, the time he was asked to change his name as it wasn’t “British” enough (!) and he discusses stepping away from the industry. This conversation felt very full circle to me – I was first introduced to Jack in 2012 when I was taken to his concert in Shepherds Bush – close to where I live now! She talks all about her new book – her first novel aptly named The Last Supper and the story behind the story. We bond over being introverted extroverts (if you can believe that!) and I ask her whether she’s suffered from any prejudice as a self-taught female chef. She opens up about her long-standing friendship with Pierre Koffmann and working under him in his kitchen – and she finds him quite sexy! You heard it here first!!! This week I am joined by Edson Diaz-Fuentes and his wife Natalie Feary, the duo behind Santo Remedio. The Mexican restaurants, found in London Bridge and Shoreditch, are bringing the real flavours of Mexico to London. This was a conversation about one of – if not my number one – favourite cuisines! Edson remembers queuing up for tamales in Kindergarten; depicting beautiful memories of his childhood in Mexico City. We discuss how far Mexican food has come over the last 10-15 years in London. We’ve moved from Tex Mex offerings to proper Mexican flavours and tastes. Mexico is an incredibly biodiverse country with loads of influence from the Spanish, Portuguese and even Lebanese! We talk about their meeting in Mexico, and moving the romantic relationship into a business partnership too! And we have an important conversation about tequila and why I can’t drink mezcal! They tell us what they’re serving up at Taste this year – and my god you’re in for a treat! I’ll see y’all at the front of the queue! I’M BACKKKK!!!!! And it feels so good! Thank you for sticking around this long! How are we onto Season 7 already?! I thought I’d treat you all and kick the season off in style, with the sultry tones of Grace Dent, the restaurant critic, broadcaster and author! I have officially given her the title of National Treasure; a name she is beyond excited to receive. She discusses her show with Ainsley Harriott, Best of Britain by the Sea. They had the best time travelling around the country finding the best seaside resorts, hotels and food; but we do agree it’s difficult to eat fish and chips in London; you have to be by the sea. Grace eloquently talks about her childhood in Carlisle. It was the world of processed, beige food and we reminisce about her time at More! Magazine… those were the days! She really does have the best job! She breaks down what makes a great restaurant; the nuances, what she bases her opinions on but admits that she spends most of her time at Pret a Manger! And we love the same sandwich – posh cheddar and pickle!! We end the chat with the ULTIMATE crisps conversation – we will be friends for life!!! You know what time it is!! Music by @casnova____ I am beyond excited to announce that I have partnered up with Magimix for this season of Crazy Sexy Food! As the inventor of the food processor, Magimix is a family owned business that has an amazing reputation as makers of quality kitchen appliances and are cherished and adored all around the world by both chefs and home cooks alike. I remember growing up and always seeing my mum's beloved Magimix on her counter top, and the utter ease of how she used it. Fast forward to today and my beautiful Magimix Cook Expert is literally the most used appliance in my kitchen! This latest innovation is both a food processer and multi-cooker in one machine – it's a game changer for me and such a dream to use. I think of it as my "personal sous-chef" – I give it all the hard work to get on with so I can focus on more interesting jobs like tasting, flavouring and serving up delicious meals. And don't even get me started on their ice cream machine, the Gelato Expert – it makes ice cream to rival even the best Italian delicacies! 21 Jun 2022 | Season 7: Episode 02: Sophie Ellis-Bextor & Richard Jones | 01:11:23
What better way to bring in episode 2 than with my first ever couple! And they’re not just any couple… Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Richard Jones are the ultimate couple of all couples! They work together; Richard plays base in Sophie’s band, they parent together; they have 5 children (not 3, Hannah!! Listen in to hear my huge mess up!), and they have now written a cookbook together; Love Food Family! Is there anything these 2 can’t do?! We talk all about the new book, how they met each other and what they cooked for each other, Richard reminisces about a life pre-social media (it involves Dominic West, Glasto and The Royals….) and Sophie details her very “interesting” rider request when on tour. I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation, and asked for them to adopt me if at all possible! Oh, and things get realllllllly juicy when talking crisps – tune in to find out why! 28 Jun 2022 | Season 7: Episode 03: Shiza Shahid | 00:47:15
It was a pleasure to host Shiza Shahid at my home, the co-founder and owner of Our Place – the cookware brand taking the world by storm. But Our Place is a mere fraction of what this incredible woman stands for. She also co-founded the Malala Fund in 2013, and has fought for women’s rights and the right for education for young girls since she was a teenager. She is completely in line with my ethos when it comes to food and sharing moments together; the table is for everyone, regardless of who you are or where you’re from. We talk about her childhood growing up in Pakistan during a time where it was becoming very politically turbulent and she opens up about her friendship with Malala and how they have worked together to create and change in the world. Our Place is a beautiful brand that isn’t just aesthetically pleasing, but stands for community and inclusion and Shiza’s path has only just begun. Mark my words; she’s going to make a serious impact on this world! Music by @casnova____ I am beyond excited to announce that I have partnered up with Magimix for this season of Crazy Sexy Food! 05 Jul 2022 | Season 7: Episode 04: Eric Lanlard | 01:07:55
I absolutely loved sitting down with my good friend, Eric Lanlard, the French pâtissier extraordinaire. We recorded from his baking school in South West London, Cake Boy, which is the cake emporium you need to know about! Growing up in North West France, Eric knew what he wanted to do since he was 5 years old and signed up to his local patisserie to make sure he was taken on as an apprentice as a teenager. He regales incredible anecdotes from his time working for the French Navy on the battleships, his time in London with The Roux brothers, and he explains the intricacies of patisserie and the scientific nature of baking. Eric is a true artist, his cakes and bakes are not just visually pleasing, but sensational in taste and texture. He really is the king of baking! @eric_lanlard Music by @casnova____ I am beyond excited to announce that I have partnered up with Magimix for this season of Crazy Sexy Food! 12 Jul 2022 | Season 7: Episode 05: Asma Khan | 01:08:24
What an honour to have Asma Khan on this week’s podcast. The star – and only British and female chef to be featured on Chef’s Table on Netflix! Asma is a leader in the culinary world; speaking up about women in food, putting women in the kitchen and making space for us! She emotionally opens up to me about writing her new book, Ammu, and how it was a dedication to her mother, the love for her mother but also the acceptance of her mother and how she was loved as a child; through food. She was very generous in how she opened up to me, we both got quite emotional discussing her life and childhood growing up in Calcutta. We recorded 2 days after she had unfortunately shut her restaurant in London; but do not fret! She will be back at a new location very soon! Asma loves a crisp – but loves bagels more! And so I feel this has only cemented our friendship even more! Enjoy! Music by @casnova____ I am beyond excited to announce that I have partnered up with Magimix for this season of Crazy Sexy Food! 19 Jul 2022 | Season 7: Episode 06: Ken Hom | 01:10:42
I sat down with one of my childhood culinary heroes (and my dad’s!), Ken Hom. He recorded from his gorgeous house in France, where he splits his time between there and Thailand. Ken is one of the most celebrated TV chefs of our generation, bringing the flavours of Chinese cooking to our homes. We cover his life in food; how he got into the culinary scene and why he’s still traumatised from his first ever show on the BBC in the 80s! We both bond over the issues with food waste, how much we love the chilli oil in Chinese restaurants and I think he loves crisps as much as I do – he couldn’t even let me get the whole question out! He dissects Chinese food and explains the different regions, where he eats Chinese food and how it’s evolved over the years and he tells a great anecdote about cooking for Tina Turner! What a guy Ken is! I can’t wait to meet him in person and share some Chinese food with him (he’s ordering). 26 Jul 2022 | Season 7: Episode 07: Jo Malone CBE | 00:54:01
Every now and again I sit down with someone who has a profound effect on me. Jo Malone is one of those people. As the founder of Jo Malone London and Jo Loves, she is the queen of fragrance with her sixth sense of knowing how scents work, and putting different notes together to create some of the best smells in the world. This was an incredibly open and honest conversation, and at times emotional. It was also thought provoking and a lesson into seeing the world in a different way. Jo’s talent also links to her love of food, cooking and the smells of different ingredients and how they play such a pivotal role in her business. She has it all; animals, fruit and veg and even her own pub! She dissects how she writes a cookbook, how she creates recipes, the recipe testing process and shooting the book. I don’t think I’ll look at a cookbook in the same way again! 09 Aug 2022 | Season 7: Episode 09: Glyn Fussell | 01:04:08
I am so happy I have finally met the man himself, Glyn Fussell. And he came to my house. And he loves my granola! The LGBTQ+ trailblazer joined me to talk all about his epic brand and club night, Sink the Pink, co-founding the festival The Mighty Hoopla, and more recently his new podcast and debut book, Manifesto for Misfits. Glyn grew up in Bristol in a huuuuuge family – he’s one of seven! And it was so interesting to hear about his childhood growing up and the nostalgic dishes that take him back to those days. I ask him about the LGBTQ+ community at the moment, whether we’re making progress in the conversation of inclusivity and diversity, and what else needs to be done. Glyn is a total babe! This was a fun loving, somewhat cheeky chat. I hope you enjoy! Music by @casnova____ I am beyond excited to announce that I have partnered up with Magimix for this season of Crazy Sexy Food! 16 Aug 2022 | Season 7: Episode 10: Sabrina Ghayour | 01:04:50
I’ve followed Sabrina Ghayour’s career for a while now, and so it was a huge pleasure to finally have her on the podcast. She’s just launched her new cookbook, Persiana Everyday, which was a tough process to write as she wrote it through lockdown, whilst dealing with all the things complexities that have come with the last 2 years. It was also challenging to actually write down the recipes she was creating from her head, and working out measurements but she focuses on simple and delicious recipes that are quick in this book and I can tell you it’s a must buy! She’s not the biggest fan of podcasts so it’s a real honour for her to entrust me with her words and time! She opened up about her childhood and coming to the UK at a young age during the Iranian Revolution and explains that she actually comes from a family of women who did not cook! We dissectPersian food and it’s fundamental flavours and dishes. The influences of the cuisine come from all over to make a unique, delicious and aromatic taste. We talk about the political topic of Tahdig – the crispy rice created in a Persian rice cooker. It can get very tense at the dinner table; people fight over it! I absolutely loved having Sabrina on and it’s been so great watching her success over the years. 23 Aug 2022 | Season 7: Episode 11: Chris Baber | 00:47:38
I met Chris Baber over food - of course - at an amazing party at Nobu full of the best canapes! We positioned ourselves right by the kitchen doors – in the firing line, and now it was time to get him over for a chat! Chris reminisces being a child cooking in Northumberland with his granddad; he was influenced by the greats like Ainsley, Gordon and Rick! He went on to win a cooking competition on the BBC and went to work under Atul Kochhar, the Michelin starred chef in London. He talks about being in a professional kitchen from wearing chef’s whites to prepping food and serving beautiful dishes. Chris really wanted to create a community showcasing his easy and accessible recipes. He wanted to make people comfortable in the kitchen. And we bond over the thinking that food doesn’t need to be complicated. We’re inundated with such a plethora of recipes, particularly on social media, that we have lost the essence of simple home cooking. His debut cookbook, Easy, demonstrates just how simple but delicious food can be! To commemorate the Season 7 finale, I have my mum, Susan Young, on!! You are in for such a treat to get to meet the woman who has inspired me, fed me and loved me my whole life! I felt like after 7 seasons it was time to introduce the queen in my life, my best friend, my “momager”, my disco diva! Mum delves into her incredible childhood between Iran, Norfolk and London and how it set her up for life. She goes back to when her mother met her Iranian father at a dance in the 1950s in England, and subsequently moved back to Iran where my mother became quite ill. She was brought back to the UK, had her identity changed and didn’t meet her real father until she was 17! She reminisces about coming down to London aged 18 to become a Bunny Girl at the original Playboy Club in the 70s, meeting her first Iranian boyfriend and embarking on a career in the antiques and jewellery business. We cover her whole life in food; how she was taught to make Iranian food, where her ethos comes from when thinking about cooking and making delicious meals. We reminisce about the best dishes of my childhood, her gourmet packed lunches and what makes a great home cook. I love my mum so much, and she really is the foundation to my knowledge of food, taste, flavour and cooking. I owe so much to her, particularly my appreciation of eating. 14 Jan 2025 | Season 11: Episode 09: Calum Harris | 00:29:29
I’m joined by cheeky chap, Calum Harris, this week who popped over to talk all things vegan, why he turned vegan, why he isn’t preachy about being a vegan and his new cookbook, Proper Healthy! We covered it all; his childhood and what he ate growing up, why he loves a ham crisp (!!!!) and why TikTok is better than Instagram! Controversial! He even brought me food! Delicious chocolate and pistachio cups with crunchy Weetabix bases. Divine!

04 Jun 2024 | Season 10: Episode 03: Claude Bosi | 00:43:25
This week I’m joined by Michelin starred chef, Claude Bosi. Fresh off of gaining yet another star, he comes over the the Four Seasons Hotel for breakfast in bed. We talk all about his childhood growing up in Lyon, France, what his stars mean to him and what he looks for in a chef. We enjoyed some hilarious moments, namely over a plate of French toast! It was a real pleasure to sit down with such a talented man, a staple on the London food scene for so many years and I love how unapologetically himself he is!

This season I have partnered with the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, who have generously hosted us in one of their fabulous suites. Each episode, I get up, close and personal with my guests, order room service and chat all about their life in food. It doesn’t get better than this! Thank you so much to the Four Seasons Hotel for their hospitality!
**I’m so happy to be partnering with Odysea on this season of the podcast. They’ve been scouring Greece & further afield for the finest food producers since 1991, bringing the highest quality flavours that the Mediterranean has to offer. Their range is carefully curated, to include hand-selected, traditionally-cured olives, award-winning honey from lovingly tended bees, and premium quality oils sourced from only the most acclaimed regional producers. Food is a way to get back in touch with the things that matter most and connect on new and deeper levels and so the lovely people at Odysea are offering Crazy Sexy Food listeners 15% off at odysea.com using the code CSF15 until the end of 2024. This code can be used across the entire range, excluding brass mills and wines.
12 Nov 2024 | Season 11: Episode 02: Tasha Ghouri | 00:39:19
Welcome to episode two! I’m joined by Tasha Ghouri this week, the star of Love Island and this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. Tasha is a real force of nature – for the greater good. She was the first deaf islander to appear on the show and has used her platform to educate and raise awareness for deaf charities and what it’s like to live with a cochlear implant. She also wrote a book earlier this year, Hits Different, which is loosely based on her life. We need more Tasha’s in this world changing the narrative on reality shows, highlighting the idea of ‘normal’ within what can be a very hyper-perfect aesthetic.

17 Dec 2024 | Season 11: Episode 07: Poppy O'Toole | 00:54:29
I’ve finally got Poppy on the sofa! This week I’m joined by the Potato Queen herself, Poppy Cooks aka Poppy O’Toole. The social media sensation joined to talk all about her new book, The Actually Delicious Slow Cooker Cookbook, how COVID was the pivotal turn in her life, how she became “viral” and how she creates the brilliant content she puts out. I’ve known Poppy for several years now, and watching her grow has been so wonderful to watch. She’s the most down to earth, humble, lovely woman and is as hilarious in real life as she is online. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did!

It’s the FINALE!!!! Season 9 is a wrap! And what a season it’s been. I wanted to finish strong and get my lovely friend, Chef Chantelle Nicholson on for a chinwag. We talk all about her rise to culinary fame as the chef-owner of Apricity in London. This is why we’re friends!!

05 Nov 2024 | Season 11: Episode 01: Andi Peters | 00:56:26
She’s baaaackk!!! It was a long time coming but I am finally here, on your airwaves with a bumper SEASON 11! I cannot believe how far I have come and this season is not going to disappoint. I had to kick things off with one of my childhood greats, Andi Peters. He presented my favourite Saturday morning show, Live & Kicking, and is still as busy as ever as he hosts the ITV competitions throughout your weekday mornings. Aside from TV, he’s quite the culinary maestro and delves into his favourite tastes, how he perfects his mashed potato and why he’s not a fan of sauces! We find out all about his McDonald’s order and, of course, his favourite crisps. This was a total dream come true and Andi is even better in real life!

11 Jun 2024 | Season 10: Episode 04: Captain Sandy Yawn | 00:47:06
This week I have the Queen of the Seas, the star of Bravo’s Below Deck, Captain Sandy Yawn! I’m still pinching myself that I got to chat with her and she’s on the podcast! I am the biggest Below Deck fan and I got to grill her on all the yacht antics, her favourite on-board chefs, what makes a great chef on these yachts and how she leads a crew. Sandy’s had an incredibly colourful life, with some really tough moments along the way. Her strength and resilience has catapulted her not only as an inspiration but as a public speaker and author. Her book, Be The Calm or Be The Storm, is out now!

07 Jun 2023 | Season 9: Episode 06: Anna Friel & Gracie Friel *100th Special Episode!!* | 00:55:48
Today calls for a celebration! Today marks the 100th episode!!!! I cannot believe we have some so far! It only felt right to get a fabulous guest, or shall I say, two guests, on to commemorate such a milestone. And so, this week I welcome the fabulous and gorgeous Anna Friel and her daughter Gracie. This is my first mother-daughter duo; they’re super close just like my mum and I and so it felt right to get these wonderful ladies on! Anna has been acting since the age of 13 and became a household name when she appeared in Brookside. Since then she has gone on to work across film, TV, theatre and won even won an Emmy for her role in Marcella. She’s the real epitome of the brilliant British talent we have grown to love over the years, and being joined by her 17 year old daughter made the episode even more special. Gracie has just finished school and is about to embark on adulthood. We cover it all; food and catering on set, Anna’s favourite home comforts, why ketchup should be banned and Gracie’s growing interest in nutrition and eating well. We also bond over my favourite snack of all time – the humble crisps (just wait until you hear Anna’s answer)!! Thank you to Anna and Gracie for coming on, thank you to my team who continue to support me and the podcast and to all you lovely listeners, who make this all so worth it! Here’s to another 100 epsiodes!
