SFC Preston Le Roy Schleinkofer, is a retired military veteran of 22 years and a retired federal officer with 27 years. His entire adult life has been in the service of this country and the protection of the American people. He served in the Active Duty Army as a Military Policeman, in the Army Reserve, the Air National Guard as a Security Policeman and his final nearly 12 years in the Army National Guard in a Nuclear, Biological, Chemical (NBC) Defense Company (Heavy) as an NBC Reconnaissance Platoon Sergeant, NCOIC of the Training Platoon and an NBC Decontamination Platoon Sergeant.

His federal law enforcement background began as a US Border Patrol Agent and then Supervisory Border Patrol Agent. He was the Border Patrol representative to the County Emergency Operations Center for his county in South Texas. He later transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as a Deportation Officer in South Texas and a Supervisory Detention & Deportation Officer in Washington, DC. He spent the last 7 years assigned to Intelligence operations in the field and headquarters intelligence analysis and targeting of human
smuggling and trafficking violators. Preston
believes his experience, training, and insight offers a new perspective to
emergency preparedness.

In what was long held as a dormant fault zone, the Garlock fault had two significant quakes in July 2019, a 6-4 and 7.1. Experts are wondering what this east-west fault zone brings to the area where more than four other faults also connect to Garlock, which connects to the San Andreas Fault line north of Los Angeles. The Cascadia Subduction Zone is a 600-mile fault that runs from northern California up to British Columbia and is about 70-100 miles off the Pacific coast shoreline. Joe Weiss, an electronic control systems cybersecurity expert, gives us his insight into what may have brought about the latest Presidential Executive Order on securing the national bulk power system and components. Matthew West began his career as a peace officer in 2000 and has transitioned into risk management in 2018. Matthew received his B.A. in American Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2002 and received his M.A. in Homeland Security (with honors) from American Military University in 2013. He holds a Master Peace Officer certification for the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and is a TCOLE certified instructor.
Matthew has been part of numerous disaster responses as a first responder, to include Hurricanes Rita and Ike. During his deployment, Matthew began to realize the lack of preparedness and vulnerabilities communities lacked, as well as those shortfalls for those responding to these events. His experiences is what guided him toward his graduate studies in Homeland Security and writing his thesis on the vulnerability of an EMP event on the U.S. power grid. Matthew is also a Boy Scout leader and amateur radio operator.

He is famous for his actions as he gathered his recruits and said farewell to his Woodstock congregation, when is said to have thrown off his clerical garb to reveal his military uniform, proclaiming “There is a time to pray and a time to fight, and that time has now come!”

In the first part of this week’s show, I am the one being interviewed by Frank Gaffney from the Center for Security Policy, about civil defense and why it is needed. Brigadier General (Ret-NYG) Ken Chrosniak was enlisted before he became an officer through Officer Candidate School. He served for over 37 years in the Active Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard, from which he retired.
