יְמֵי חֲנֻכָּה הֵם יְמֵי הוֹדָאָה כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב: וְקָבְעוּ שְׁמוֹנַת יְמֵי חַנֻכָּה אֵלּוּ לְהוֹדוֹת וּלְהַלֵּל וְכוּ וִימֵי הוֹדָאָה זֶה בְּחִינַת שַׁעֲשׁוּעַ עוֹלָם הַבָּא כִּי זֶה עִקָּר שַׁעֲשׁוּעַ עוֹלָם הַבָּא לְהוֹדוֹת וּלְהַלֵּל לִשְׁמוֹ הַגָּדוֹל יִתְבָּרַך וּלְהַכִּיר אוֹתוֹ יִתְבָּרַך שֶׁעַל יְדֵי זֶה סְמוּכִים וּקְרוֹבִים אֵלָיו יִתְבָּרַך כִּי כָל מַה שֶּׁיּוֹדְעִין וּמַכִּירִין אוֹתוֹ יִתְבָּרַך בְּיוֹתֵר סְמוּכִים אֵלָיו בְּיוֹתֵר כִּי שְׁאָר כָּל הַדְּבָרִים יִתְבַּטְּלוּ לֶעָתִיד כֻּלָּם בִּבְחִינַת: כָּל הַקָּרְבָּנוֹת בְּטֵלִין, חוּץ מִקָּרְבַּן תּוֹדָה (מִדְרָשׁ רַבָּה, צַו פָּרָשָׁה ט, אֶמוֹר פָּרָשָׁה כז, עַיֵּן שָׁם) שֶׁלּא יִשָּׁאֵר לֶעָתִיד, רַק בְּחִינַת תּוֹדָה וְהוֹדָאָה לְהוֹדוֹת וּלְהַלֵּל וְלָדַעַת אוֹתוֹ יִתְבָּרַך כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב (יְשַׁעְיָה י"א) : "כִּי מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ דֵּעָה אֶת ה כַּמַּיִם לַיָּם מְכַסִּים" שֶׁזֶּה כָּל שַׁעֲשׁוּעַ עוֹלָם הַבָּא.וּבְחִינַת תּוֹדָה, שֶׁהוּא שַׁעֲשׁוּעַ עוֹלָם הַבָּא זֶה בְּחִינַת הֲלָכוֹת כִּי הַהֲלָכוֹת שֶׁזּוֹכִין לִלְמד, בִּפְרָט מִי שֶׁזּוֹכֶה לְחַדֵּשׁ בָּהֶם זֶה בְּחִינַת שַׁעֲשׁוּעַ עוֹלָם הַבָּא בִּבְחִינַת (נִדָּה עג) : כָּל הַשּׁוֹנֶה הֲלָכוֹת בְּכָל יוֹם, מֻבְטָח לוֹ שֶׁהוּא בֶּן הָעוֹלָם הַבָּא כִּי כְּשֶׁנִּתְחַדֵּשׁ הֲלָכָה, נִתְחַדֵּשׁ שֵׂכֶל וִידִיעָה וְהַדַּעַת הוּא עִקָּר שַׁעֲשׁוּעַ עוֹלָם הַבָּא כַּנַּ"לרבי נתן מברסלב - עלים לתרופה רנ"א:
שבעת שעובר ההרפתקאות והבלבולים אי אפשר לראות חסדי ה', רק אח"כ כשמרחיב קצת אז רואים נפלאות חסדי ה', וכבר דברתי מזה עם אדמו"ר ז"ל בעצמו ואמר לי שיתחזק האדם דווקא בעת הדחק הגדול למצוא איזו הרחבה, עד שירגיש אז דווקא חסדי ה' ונפלאותיו, ועל כל פנים יאמין בהם באמונה שלמה שבודאי השי"ת טוב לכל בכל עת, וכבר עזר לו הרבה, ובוודאי לא יעזוב אותו גם עתה
