Original air date: July 5, 1989

08 May 2019Seinfeld: Episode 2 - The Stakeout (Season 1)00:24:33

Seinfeld Episode 2 (Season 1) Summary: “Jerry meets and attractive woman at a party but by the time she leaves, he has only learned where she works. Jerry stakes out the mystery woman’s office with George so that he can ‘casually’ bump into her.”

Original air date: May 31, 1990

A classic Seinfeld episode and the origin of ‘Art Vandelay’, ‘The Stakeout’ is one of the tightest scripts of the first season. The titular stakeout scene alone ranks among the best the entire series has to offer. Enjoy!

13 May 2019Seinfeld: Episode 3 - The Robbery (Season 1)00:24:15

Seinfeld Episode 3 (Season 1) Summary: “Jerry is robbed after Kramer fails to close the apartment door. Elaine talks Jerry into looking at a fabulous apartment in the hopes that she an then have Jerry’s place. Things are further complicated when George decides he wants the new place too.”

Original air date: June 7, 1990

This was an interesting episode to dissect. Adam thought it had some great bits and deliveries but Corey felt it was the weakest episode of the season. Our first bit of Cartwright controversy! The one thing Adam and Corey both agree on is that George is a grade A jerk.

20 May 2019Seinfeld: Episode 4 - Male Unbonding (Season 1)00:00:30

Seinfeld Episode 4 (Season 1) Summary: “Jerry tries to ‘break up’ with his obnoxious childhood friend but his pathetic weeping leads Jerry to give him another chance. Elaine helps Jerry come up with excuses to avoid him.”

Original air date: June 14, 1990

Fun fact: Besides the Pilot, this is the only episode title that doesn’t start with “the”. That’s gold, Jerry! Gold!

Pointless insights like that and a whole lot more when Adam and Corey discuss “Male Unbonding” on this week’s episode of Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast.

27 May 2019Seinfeld: Episode 5 - The Stock Tip (Season 1)00:47:59

Seinfeld Episode 5 (Season 1) Summary: “After George receives a stock tip, he and Jerry take the financial plunge. Elaine and her allergies battle her boyfriend’s cats. Meanwhile, Jerry’s weekend getaway with his new girlfriend proves to be a relationship killer.”

Original air date: June 21, 1990

Here it is, the end of the first season of Seinfeld. Adam and Corey break down the episode like usual but then they record a season one wrap-up discussion at the end. Future wrap-ups will probably be their own show but since there were so few episodes this season we went this route. Enjoy!

03 Jun 2019Seinfeld: Episode 1 - The Ex-Girlfriend (Season 2)00:31:28

Seinfeld Episode 1 (Season 2) Summary: “Jerry begins seeing George’s ex, Marlene, but George is more annoyed that Jerry went behind his back to pay the balance of a bogus chiropractor bill. Marlene breaks up with Jerry because she doesn’t like his comedy act.”

Original air date: Jan 23 1991

Adam and Corey dive into the second season of Seinfeld with “The Ex-Girlfriend.” Does this episode stand the test of time or is it a dud? Listen to our podcast to find out!

10 Jun 2019Seinfeld: Episode 2 - The Pony Remark (Season 2)00:36:17

Seinfeld Episode 2 (Season 2) Summary: “Jerry inadvertently offends his elderly relative by saying he hate people who had ponies growing up. The woman dies before Jerry can clear the air. Jerry is torn between attending her funeral and playing in a championship softball game.”

Original air date: Jan 30, 1991

Adam and Corey have fun talking about one of their favorite episodes of the series so far! And, as a bonus, Corey learns that a pony isn’t actually a baby horse, like he thought it was for the past 41 years of his life. Will wonders never cease?

17 Jun 2019Seinfeld: Episode 3 - The Jacket (Season 2)00:34:51

Seinfeld Episode 3 (Season 2) Summary: “Jerry wears his expensive new suede jacket to meet Elaine’s intimidating novelist father. When snow begins to fall, Jerry plans to protect the suede by turning the jacket inside out, revealing a pink, candy-striped lining, much to the dismay of Mr. Benes.”

Original air date: Feb 6, 1991

Featuring Lawrence Tierney as Elaine’s father, Alton Benes (best known for playing Joe in ‘Reservoir Dogs’), The Jacket was a little divisive for us to review as Adam found Mr. Benes to be a bit too intense while Corey related to the plight of Jerry and George. Our friendship might not survive this episode but it makes for some good podcasting!

24 Jun 2019Seinfeld: Episode 4 - The Phone Message (Season 2)00:40:01

Seinfeld Episode 4 (Season 2) Summary: “Paranoid because his new girlfriend hasn’t returned his call, George leaves a series of progressively nasty phone messages on her answering machine. When he learns she’s out of town, George enlists Jerry to help him steal the message tape before she can hear George’s messages.”

Original air date: Feb 13, 1991

What started out as a middle-of-the-road ‘Seinfeld’ episode turned into a really fun discussion by Adam and Corey. ‘The Phone Message’ might also represent a turning point in Corey’s life too as his wife finally showed interest in the beloved sitcom. Will she become a fan of ‘Seinfeld’?! Only time will tell!

01 Jul 2019Seinfeld: Episode 5 - The Apartment (Season 2)00:33:54

Seinfeld Episode 5 (Season 2) Summary: “Jerry gets Elaine and apartment right above his own, but the implications of this make Jerry wish he never suggested it. George tests a theory that wearing a wedding band will make him more attractive to women.”

Original air date: April 4, 1991

On the latest episode of our podcast, the boys have a really fun time discussing ‘The Apartment’! Corey liked it a little bit more than Adam, but that’s ok…he won’t hold it against his friend. Let us know what you thought of this episode either on Facebook or on Patreon!

08 Jul 2019Seinfeld: Episode 6 - The Statue (Season 2)00:36:37

Seinfeld Episode 6 (Season 2) Summary: “Jerry’s Apartment is cleaned by the boyfriend of a novelist whose book Elaine is editing. When Jerry and Elaine later see Jerry’s missing statue at the author’s apartment, Kramer poses as a cop to get it back.”

Original air date: April 11, 1991

‘The Statue’ started out as a slightly mediocre episode but quickly turned into one of our favorites of the season. Like the last episode (‘The Apartment’), this one is elevated by a strong side character in Ray (played by Michael D. Conway). Adam and Corey ponder why they didn’t get to see more of him later in the series they breakdown the episode.

15 Jul 2019Seinfeld: Episode 7 - The Revenge (Season 2)00:39:15

Meanwhile, Kramer helps Jerry seek his own revenge on a laundromat employee they suspect stole money from Jerry.”

Original air date: April 4, 1991

All episodes of Seinfeld are fun (to some degree), but not all of them are great as Adam and Corey quickly discover with ‘The Revenge.’ Fear not! Even though the boys didn’t love this particular episode they still had a blast discussion it on air!

Seinfeld Episode 8 (Season 2) Summary: “George’s false alarm heart attack lands him in the hospital for a tonsillectomy. He visits Kramer’s holistic healer but experiences a downfall of alternative medicine.”

Original air date: April 18, 1991

From a Stephen Tobolowsky cameo to bickering paramedics, this episode of Seinfeld was all over the place! For better (Corey’s opinion) or worse (Adam’s opinion). Regardless, the boys sure did have a blast talking about all the different aspects of “The Heart Attack”!

29 Jul 2019Seinfeld: Episode 9 - The Deal (Season 2)00:49:07

Seinfeld Episode 9 (Season 2) Summary: “While channel-surfing, Jerry and Elaine stumble across a soft-core porn film, which leads them to renew their physical relationship. They come up with a set of rules for having sex without compromising their friendship.”

Original air date: May 2, 1991

What was originally supposed to be the season 2 finale became a somewhat confusing, albeit enjoyable, mid-season episode of Seinfeld. Adam was a little put off by the lack of continuity and resolution, but Corey enjoyed the more intimate, character-centered story.

Original air date: May 16, 1991

‘The Baby Shower’ might be more of a middle-of-the-road episode but Adam and Corey have a blast reviewing it for the podcast. Whether you think fish should drive cars or not, you’re still gonna love this episode. That’s an illegal cable installer’s guarantee!

Original air date: June 26, 1991

On this week’s episode of Cartwright! Adam and Corey discuss the Seinfeld season 2 finale, “The Busboy.” Not the strongest episode for the sitcom to end on and it show’s in their conversation, but the boys always have a good time talking about Jerry and the gang’s ridiculous exploits!

Original air date: September 18, 1991

After a short hiatus the boys are back to talk about all things Seinfeld! They kick off Season 3 with “The Note” and are surprised to find that the episode doesn’t hold up that well under scrutiny. Maybe it was the off-putting freestyle skat intro this episode featured? Skibbity bebop heyyyyyyyyy…

Original air date: October 16, 1991

Oh man… Lt. Bookman! Wow. That’s all we really need to say about this episode. It’s a Seinfeld classic, and according to Corey, one of the most amazing scenes in television history. Disagree? Leave a comment on our Facebook fan page and lets discuss!

Seinfeld Episode 6 (Season 3) Summary: “After shopping for an air conditioner, Jerry and the gang are unable to locate Kramer’s car in a mall parking lot.”

Original air date: October 30, 1991

Full disclosure: with no scene breaks, this episode was really tough to break down and discuss in chronological order! Good thing Adam and Corey are season pros so they only muddle their way through 40% of the show lol. Have fun with this classic episode of Seinfeld!

24 Oct 2019Episode 7 - The Cafe (Season 3)00:49:38

Seinfeld Episode 7 (Season 3) Summary: “A small failing restaurant brings out Jerry’s sympathy, but when the owner, Babu Bhatt, takes his advice, things go from bad to worse. Elaine helps George cheat on an IQ test but their caper backfires thanks to Kramer and his stolen jacket.”

Original air date: November 6, 1991

"You're a bad man! Very, very bad!"

But is Jerry really a bad man? Adam and Corey may not agree on how much they like or dislike this episode but they do agree that Jerry’s advice was actually pretty damn good! When it comes to restaurant themes, it’s better to be focused. Do you agree with our assessment of this episode? Leave a comment on our Facebook page and let us know!

Seinfeld Episode 8 (Season 3) Summary: “George orders a miracle baldness cure from China. Elaine leaves an erotic message on Jerry’s tape recorder. Her dirty-mouthed practical joke spurs sexual interest in her from the guys, especially George.”

Original air date: November 13, 1991

Oofa…The Tape. Spoiler alert: this was not a favorite episode of Seinfeld for Adam or Corey, but they still had a lot of fun going off on different tangents and discussions while reviewing it. Proving the point once more that sometimes weaker Seinfeld eps actually make for better, if not more lively, conversations!

07 Nov 2019Episode 9 - The Nose Job (Season 3)00:46:18

Original air date: November 20, 1991

The “sexy but shallow actress” mentioned in the summary is none other than 80’s music video vixen, Tawny Kitaen! That’s pretty cool…to those of us older than 30! Does Tawny’s guest spot take the show to a new level or is it all a ruse and there isn’t much meat on the bone? Listen and find out!

14 Nov 2019Episode 10 - The Stranded (Season 3)00:45:19

Seinfeld Episode 10 (Season 3) Summary: “George strands Jerry and Elaine at a Long Island party because his sexy co-worker came onto him. The party host (Michael Chiklis) later visits Jerry in the city and has fun with Kramer and a hooker.”

Original air date: November 27, 1991

“The Stranded” is a weird episode! Not only was it supposed to air during season two, making all the stuff with George and his co-workers seem odd in season three because he already quit his job, but it almost felt like two different stories. Like with most of the oddball episodes though, Adam and Corey had a lot more fun breaking it down than they did watching it. The latter half, at least (the first half is quite good)!

Seinfeld Episode 11 (Season 3) Summary: “George’s job moving cars from one side of the street to the other turns out to be much harder than he expected. Kramer gets a line in a Woody Allen film: ‘These pretzels are making me thirsty.’”

Original air date: December 4, 1991

From Woody Allen to rental cars, there’s so much fun Seinfeldness to unpack in this episodes it’s hard to know where to begin! At the very least you have to listen to this episode to hear Adam and Corey do their best “these pretzels are making me thirsty” line. Let us know who did it better!

05 Dec 2019Episode 12 - The Red Dot (Season 3)00:55:22

George buys Elaine a cashmere sweater with a small flaw to thank her for getting him a job in her office. He must face the consequences of having sex on his desk with the office cleaning woman.”

Original air date: December 11, 1991

Wowzers! There’s a lot packed into this episode, as you can tell by the description above, and it’s all clip show worthy (a phrase you’ll hear Adam and Corey say a lot this episode)! Not to mention Kramer drunk, and American Werewolf in London! Strap in, Cartwrighters! This one’s a fun ride!

Jerry befriends and overweight exhibitionist. George meets a woman on the train and skips a job interview. Kramer overhears a hot tip on a horse.”

Original air date: January 8, 1992

One thing that isn’t mentioned in the detailed summary above is all the high-profile supporting cast in this episode! Seinfeld Episode 14 (Season 3) Summary: “Jerry’s Pez dispenser makes Elaine laugh during George’s new girlfriend’s piano recital. George wins the upper hand in his faltering relationship with her after performing a preemptive break-up.”

Original air date: January 15, 1992

Top to bottom, this is one hell of an episode of Seinfeld! Kramer’s firing out great ideas left and right, Jerry’s obsessed with Pez, George is losing hand, and some of the tightest sitcom writing we’ve seen! What more do you want? It’s so good Corey’s going to show it to his wife in hopes of getting her hooked on Seinfeld!

Original air date: January 29, 1992

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast we dive into murky waters as we breakdown and review “The Suicide.” Not only is the subject matter a bit dark but Elaine’s reaction to the psychic smoking while pregnant proved to be a bit devise for Adam and Corey! Plus we breakdown the fan theory that George caused his brother to commit suicide off-camera. Oofa! No wonder this episode is one of our longer ones!

Seinfeld Episode 16 (Season 3) Summary: “Jerry and Elaine set George up with Elaine’s friend Cynthia. They hit it off but George is horrified to discover that Kramer has given him a defective condom.”

Original air date: February 5, 1992

“Oh! My! Gawd!” Yup, this is the episode with Maggie Wheeler (aka Janice from Friends). Worlds are colliding! Wait, that’s the wrong Seinfeld episode lol! Anyways, bad jokes aside, the boys had a lot of fun talking about this solid episode from everyone’s favorite sitcom about nothing.

23 Jan 2020Episode 18 - The Limo (Season 3)00:36:52

Seinfeld Episode 18 (Season 3) Summary: “Jerry and George hop into a limo that was unaccounted for at the airport. They’re thrilled to learn that they’re heading for Madison Square Garden and invite Kramer and Elaine to join them. The gang fears for their lives when Neo-Nazis hop in the limo and they discover their true destination.”

Original air date: February 26, 1992

A pointless B-storyline and mediocre writing keeps this episode from achieving true greatness even though Adam and Corey both enjoyed the A-storyline and the three stand-up bits. Oh well, they can’t all be winners! As an added bonus, The Limo features one of Corey’s childhood crushes: Suzanne Snyder from Return of the Living Dead Part 2!

The Kramer painting! Elaine being from Towson, MD (the same place co-host Corey went to college)! So much fun stuff to talk about in one episode, but also some bad stuff too. That’s ok though… it’s Seinfeld so you know the boys still had a blast breaking it down and discussing it!

Original air date: August 12, 1992

Adam and Corey knew it was coming… the two part episode they both hate… The Trip! UGHHHH! Not wanting to have their score clouded by their feelings (or lack of nostalgia) for this episode, they both tried to watch it with an open mind and and open heart. Too bad The Trip: Part 1 just makes it so damn hard to like it! Listen to our in-depth breakdown and review and let us know what you thought of the episode on our Facebook page!

We’re almost at the finish line! The worst Seinfeld story line is almost over (at least according to hosts Adam and Corey)! But there’s still a lot of fun to be had during this episode of Cartwright… sadly, it’s at the expense of the creators of this terrible two-part arc. Yo-Yo Ma!! We are so happy to be recording our review of The Pitch/The Ticket this week! For us, Seinfeld Season 4 really starts with this two-parter (not that other one that shall not be named)! And we kick off another 2-part episode arc with The Wallet! Does anyone else find it odd that technically the first 6 episodes of Seinfeld Season 4 are actually 3 one hour stories? Original air date: September 30, 1992

We wrap up the third two-part episode story arc from the fourth season of Seinfeld (that was a mouth full)! And even though this episode and the previous one has a lot to enjoy, the overall experience left Adam and Corey feeling like they just got off a roller coaster… and not in a good way. But, as we’ve seen before, sometimes the worst episodes of Seinfeld turn into the best episodes of Cartwright!

Original air date: October 7, 1992

Woohoo! The Bubble Boy episode! Classic Seinfeld, right? Well, maybe. Adam and Corey were so happy to finally get to this episode, but it had a hard time living up to their nostalgic expectations. Listen to find out where things went wrong and where they went right (there’s still a lot of fun to be had especially when Brian Doyle-Murray is on the screen)!

Original air date: October 28, 1992

Not only is “The Cheever Letters” a sold Seinfeld episode (according to Adam and Corey), but it also marks the first appearance of Susan Ross’ parents on the show! Woohoo! Sure, they may not be as popular as the Costanzas or the Seinfelds but we love them. (You know what we don’t love? The “panty remark.” Gross, Jerry!)

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast the boys dive into another build-up episode. This time it’s the calm before the “Contest” storm! (Side note: we can’t wait for that!) “The Virgin” is still a solid episode on its own though… more so than some of the previous build-up eps at least!

The boys couldn’t be more excited to review The Contest this week! It’s been one of the most anticipated episodes since they started the podcast! Does it live up to expectations? Unless you are brand new to Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast then you know that Corey and Adam have had some problems with the first half of Seinfeld season 4. Original air date: December 16, 1992

For most fans, The Pick isn’t an episode that immediately comes to mind when discussing all-time classics, like The Contest does, which is why both Corey and Adam were really surprised by how many “clip show” worthy moments were jam packed into it! Spoiler alert: it’s a ton! Plus Elaine’s enigmatic sister Gail gets mentioned in this episode too. It’s a wild ride!

Original air date: February 4, 1993

Woohoo! Another solid episode of Seinfeld! So far, it seems like the back half of season four is much more consistent than the first half! Hopefully it stays that way as we make our way to the end of this wild season. There’s only a handful of episodes left and some of them are real classics!

Original air date: February 25, 1993

Another classic Seinfeld episode from the back half of season 4! This time we get the famous lines, “They’re real and they’re spectacular” and “double-dipping” (co-host Corey’s wife actually knew the latter even though she’s not a fan of the show, that’s how deep into pop culture Seinfeld is entrenched)! Original air date: May 13, 1993

“Got to loooove the Drake!” “I hate the Drake.”

Whether you love the Drake or hate him, you have to admit it’s always a jerk move to park in a handicap spot! Original air date: September 30, 1993

“I don’t know what to believe! You’re eating onions and spotting dimes! I don’t know what’s going on!” Like George’s vision, this episode is all over the place! From fantastic comedic performances by Michael Richards & Julia Louis-Dreyfus to a mediocre main story line & a very distracting studio audience, ‘The Glasses’ just didn’t have the consistency Adam and Corey were expecting! Seinfeld Episode 6 (Season 5) Summary: “George tries to get Jerry’s deaf girlfriend to read lips at a party. Kramer becomes a ball boy at the U.S. Open.”

Original air date: October 28, 1993

‘The Lip Reader’ is proof that sometimes bad writing can completely derail an otherwise decent episode, for co-host Corey at least lol! Adam wasn’t as offended, but still had his reservations about this one. Was it as bad as ‘The Trip Part 1?’ You’ll have to listen to find out! 08 Oct 2020Seinfeld Episode 7 (Season 5) - The Non-Fat Yogurt Review00:53:00

Seinfeld Episode 7 (Season 5) Summary: “Jerry and Elaine investigate to see if their favorite frozen yogurt is non-fat. The research causes a stir during the New York mayoral election. Elaine dates George’s boyhood nemesis, Lloyd Braun.”

Original air date: November 4, 1993

Newman and the Costanzas in the same episode?! You just know “The Non-Fat Yogurt” is going to be a good one! Add to that some great writing and a kid that cusses (always comedy gold, Jerry!) and you have the recipe for a truly classic episode of Seinfeld! How classic, you ask? Well, you’ll just have to listen and find out!

15 Oct 2020Seinfeld Episode 8 (Season 5) - The Barber Review00:53:59

Seinfeld Episode 8 (Season 5) Summary: “Jerry frets over leaving his incompetent barber. Elaine enlists Kramer to participate in her bachelor auction.”

Original air date: November 11, 1993

No closing stand-up bit and a secret stinger in the last 5 seconds of the episode?! What is this, some kind of a Marvel movie? Actually, come to think of it…I wonder how Jerry and the gang held up during the Battle of New York in the first Avengers movie? “What’s the deal with these aliens?” lol

Anyways, ‘The Barber’ was a fun episode and a fun discussion! It’s just a shame Adam didn’t stick around for that final scene to see a bald Newman. At least Corey gets to blow his mind on-air when he tells him about it!

Seinfeld Episode 9 (Season 5) Summary: “Jerry’s masseuse girlfriend won’t give him a massage. Elaine dates Joel Rifkin - not the mass murderer. ”

Original air date: November 18, 1993

The “season of sleaze” continues on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast as Adam and Corey discuss the origins of the term “MILF” as well as what Adam would do for sex lol! Of course, we also break down and review ‘The Masseuse’ but that’s not as captivating an opening sentence as the one above!

29 Oct 2020Seinfeld Episode 10 (Season 5) - The Cigar Store Indian Review01:08:19

Seinfeld Episode 10 (Season 5) Summary: “Jerry offends Elaine’s friend with a cigar store Indian. Kramer sells his coffee table book idea to Elaine’s boss, Mr. Lippman.”

Original air date: December 9, 1993

This week on Seinfeld! A Cartwright Podcast… damn it, Adam! You made me do it too!!

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, Adam and Corey dive into ‘The Cigar Store Indian’ (S5E10)! Along the way they get sidetracked talking about how great their own legs look, their mutual love for gyros, also their mutual love for Sam Lloyd (RIP), and a whole slew of other tangents… including their (you guessed it) mutual crush on Winona! It’s business as MUTUAL around here! See what I did there? ;)

SPOILER ALERT: The boys accidentally talk about some stuff in Cobra Kai season 2 that might be spoilers for those of you that haven’t watched the show! If you want to stay spoiler free, hit the 15 or 30 sec jump button and you’ll be fine.

Seinfeld Episode 11 (Season 5) Summary: “George goes through the process of converting to the Latvian Orthodox religion for a girl. Jerry spots a suspicious ointment in his girlfriend’s medicine cabinet.”

Original air date: December 16, 1993

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast we review ‘The Conversion’ (S5E11)! We also learn that, like Jerry, Corey WILL look in someone’s medicine cabinet, and that cat skin is (probably) the same kind of skin we have as humans lol. Also… The Kavorka!! Yes! We are excited to finally talk about Kramer’s animal magnetism :)

12 Nov 2020Seinfeld Episode 12 (Season 5) - The Stall Review01:06:58

Seinfeld Episode 12 (Season 5) Summary: “Elaine agonizes over a woman’s refusal to pass her some toilet paper under the stall of a public restroom. Kramer convinces Jerry that his girlfriend makes a living as a phone sex operator. George befriends Elaine’s “mimbo” boyfriend.”

Original air date: January 6, 1994

Not gonna lie, we came in real hot at the beginning of this episode with a lot of bathroom talk! I mean, how could we not? The episode is called “The Stall” lol! Don’t worry, it’s not all about social norms and bodily functions though. We discuss Adam’s pronunciation of ‘Dan Cortese’ too! It’s the usual silliness you’ve come to expect from the boys of Cartwright!

24 Nov 2020Bonus Episode: Talking Seinfeld With Kāsha00:55:33

Hey everyone! First of all, I wanted to let you know the reason for this unplanned two week hiatus: Adam caught COVID about a week and a half ago. We hoped that he would be able to record this past weekend but unfortunately his voice was, well, terrible lol. Thankfully, he’s feeling much better (aside from his voice) and by all accounts we should be able to record this upcoming weekend.

The silver lining in all this is Adam’s wife Kāsha offered to record a bonus episode with me! We’ve mentioned having her (and my wife, Mayra) on Cartwright! in the future so this worked out perfectly… it just took Adam getting COVID to make it happen!

We hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving, and we hope that everyone enjoys this bonus conversation between Kāsha and I :)

~ Corey

03 Dec 2020Seinfeld Episode 13 (Season 5) - The Dinner Party Review01:01:43

Seinfeld Episode 13 (Season 5) Summary: “En Route to a dinner party, Elaine and Jerry pair off to buy a babka. George’s jacket gets in the way at the liquor store where he and Kramer look for a bottle of wine.”

Original air date: February 3, 1994

Like George says in “The Mango” episode: We’re back, baby!! That’s right, after a two week unplanned hiatus due to co-host Adam getting COVID the boys are bringing you an episode jam-packed with Cartwright! goodness while they discuss “The Dinner Party!” We hope you have as much fun listening to this ep as they had recording it. And if not… Soooooooorry

10 Dec 2020Seinfeld Episode 14 (Season 5) - The Marine Biologist Review01:31:40

Seinfeld Episode 14 (Season 5) Summary: “George starts dating and old when Jerry tells her that George is a successful marine biologist. Elaine’s electronic organizer injures a passerby when her Russian novelist client launches it from their window. Kramer golfs on the beach.”

Original air date: February 10, 1994

“Tangent” is the world of the day because the boys go on a lot of them this episode! Maybe it’s because they hadn’t recorded together in a while (do to Adam getting COVID) and this was the second episode in a row they did, or more likely it was all the alcohol, but this turned out to be a very passionate and rant-heavy review lol. Unfortunately for Adam’s voice, all these tangents didn’t help its recovery.

Original air date: February 17, 1994

Suzanne Snyder from “The Limo” episode (and Return of the Living Dead Part 2 which co-host Corey reviewed on Podcasting After Dark) returns to Seinfeld as Poppie’s daughter! Bur she’s not the only actress returning to playing a different character though! The boys discuss this and a whole lot more on this week’s episode of Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast :)

24 Dec 2020Seinfeld Episode 16 (Season 5) - The Stand-In Review01:10:04

Seinfeld Episode 16 (Season 5) Summary: “Kramer is hired as a stand-in on a soap opera. He encourages Mickey to put lifts in his shoes, but his advise doesn’t sit well with the other little people stand-ins. George is ready to break up with his girlfriend until he discovers that she’s being encouraged to call it quits with him. ”

Original air date: February 24, 1994

Adam and Corey revel in the debut of one of their favorite Seinfeld side-characters, Mickey! And what a debut it is. Danny Woodburn never disappoints! But is he enough to elevate a somewhat mediocre episode? You’ll have to listen to find out!

Original air date: March 17, 1994

Original air date: April 28, 1994

Strap in for an extra long Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast as the boys break down and review the two-part episode, The Raincoats. And what an episode it is! Between guest star Judge Reinhold as “the close talker” and both the Costanzas & the Seinfelds (and an appearance by Newman), this one is full of goodness! Plus we see George side with his parents in this episode, which is both weird and amusing to watch lol

Seinfeld Episode 19 (Season 5) Summary: “George panics during a fire at his girlfriend’s son’s birthday party and bolts for an escape route. Kramer saves Elaine’s coworker’s pinky toe.”

Original air date: May 5, 1994

“You’re living in the past, man! You’re hung up on some clown from the 60s, man!” That’s right! This week Adam and Corey breakdown and review ‘The Fire’ (you know, the episode with Jon freakin’ Favreau aka the savior of Star Wars)! Interestingly, this isn’t an episode that the boys immediately think of when talking about top-tier Seinfeld eps…but, as you’ll find out, it should be ;)

FOR THE RECORD: Adam was correct about this being one of Jon Favreau’s earlier roles before Swingers (1996). Corey was totally wrong lol

Original air date: May 12, 1994

The Season of Sleaze is quickly coming to a close here at Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, and maybe that’s a good thing because the boys get extra sleazy with The Hamptons! Don’t worry, next season with be The Season of Class (unless their wives divorce them over this and then it becomes The Season of Despair hahah). We hope you enjoy this fun episode outside of the city.

Seinfeld Episode 21 (Season 5) Summary: “George decides to do the opposite of his instincts and everything falls into place, even a job with the Yankees. Meanwhile, Elaine loses her boyfriend and her job, but Jerry remains ‘Even Steven.’”

Original air date: May 19, 1994

Wow! We can’t believe that Seinfeld Season 5 is over! It went by way too fast, but that’s probably because it was so damn good! But we know what you’re asking yourself right now, “does it stick the landing with The Opposite?” You’ll have to listen to find out. You might be surprised by what you hear ;)

Just because The Opposite is the Season 5 finale of Seinfeld it doesn’t mean it’s the season 5 finale of Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast. That’s right! We’ll be back next week with our Wrap-Up show, proceeded by our traditional one week off between seasons.

While we’re on hiatus this week we’ll be releasing one new episode from the four other shows in our podcast network.

Next we have co-host Corey’s cult movie baby, Podcasting After Dark! Every other week he breaks down a different film from the 80s and 90s with our friend Zak. As you hear Adam always mention when we plug the podcast, Corey and Zak can get pretty obscure with their movie choices so we thought it would be best to feature something a little more mainstream. Seinfeld Season 6 is starting strong with The Chaperone! Not only did Adam and Corey enjoy what all the main characters were doing this episode, but this is also the introduction of Mr. Pitt! Original air date: September 29, 1994

Poor Pinkus. Poor little Pinkus…lol! Adam and Corey have a blast digging into The Biiiiiiiiiig Salad (picture us waving our hands around in the air like George)! Not only does the episode have great energy, but it features a very devious Newman. And you know how much the boys love their Newman, especially Adam (did you know Adam went to the same college as Wayne Knight? Of course you did because he mentions it every time Newman is in an episode hahahah)

Original air date: October 6, 1994

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld podcast, co-host Adam immediately regrets telling his co-worker in HR that he has a podcast about her favorite TV show! We are already preparing for his inevitable downfall lol! Seinfeld Episode 4 (Season 6) Summery: “George’s phone line gets crossed with Donna Chang’s and Jerry winds up dating her. Estelle Costanza gets relationship advice from her. It turns out she’s not Chinese.”

Original air date: October 13, 1994

Things get a smidge racist on this week’s episode of Seinfeld, especially in the opening monologue, but the boys try their best to tackle sensitive topics while still having a good time. We think we handled it pretty well (maybe eve better than the Seinfeld writers lol). Problematic elements aside, The Chinese Woman is still a fun 22 minutes of TV, even if one of our co-hosts loved it a lot more than the other ;P

Original air date: October 27, 1994

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast Adam and Corey dig into some social norms (like whether or not you should offer movers some water) and go off on a tangent about cancel culture! Actually, there are quite a few side discussions this time. Maybe it’s because “The Couch” wasn’t a particularly strong episode of Seinfeld.

Original air date: November 3, 1994

This week the boys get down and dirty with The Gymnast(y)! This is an episode of Seinfeld that actually traumatized a younger Corey into having an irrational fear of kidney stones. Adam, on the other hand, should be very scared of what his future holds, given all the whiskey he drinks lol! Buuuuuut seriously folks, it’s a fun episode of Cartwright and we hope you all enjoy the weird & wild discussion ;)

Seinfeld Episode 7 (Season 6) Summery: “Kenny Bania offers Jerry an Armani suit in exchange for a meal, but insists that soup doesn’t count.”

Original air date: November 10, 1994

Hey, it’s the Soup Nazi episode! Noooope! This is the first appearance of Kenny Bania lol. We were thrown off by the title too! Sadly, for Bania, this episode wasn’t the strongest first appearance of the character. He’s a bit of a tool, but it does get us excited for the “Gold, Jerry! GOLD!” in the future. Until then, we’ll just be sitting here with our bowl of soup… trying to enjoy it as a meal.

Original air date: November 17, 1994

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, Adam and Corey bite into Bryan Cranston’s debut as ‘Tim Whatley’ the same way Jon Voight bite’s into Kramer’s arm! You know, manically and aggressive lol! It’s fun to see the character but why didn’t he want Jerry at the party? That was never resolved. Oh well, but hey, shout-out to Seinfeld for all the Woody Woodpecker love!
