21 Mar 2023 | Ma’am, your flight was yesterday | 00:42:04
This week on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Donna leaves Caddy at home by himself. That was her first mistake. As we mentioned on the last episode, Donna headed out of town to Park City, Utah with Olivia for a little girls getaway trip to ski and snowmobile. They had a great time, but Charlotte was giving mom updates from back home on how things were going and how dad was doing. According to her, he was a little bossy in the morning and he let the cats have at it. You decide how he did. Then, the flight back happened. Well, at first it didn’t. Donna didn’t just miss the time, she missed the day it was supposed to take off. We all have our airport nightmare story and now Donna has hers. Tune in to find out how she made it home. We also open up the old mail bag and answer questions from a bunch of our Pod Peeps. We love you guys! Let’s hear your worst experience at an airport. Let me guess: it happened in Atlanta. Text or call 770-464-6024.
09 Feb 2021 | Come to Jesus with Morgan Wallen | 00:50:37
The show focuses almost entirely on Morgan Wallen and his ongoing controversy. It’s the story dominating Country right now but Donna and Caddy hit some talking points you might not expect. At the end there’s a bit of talk about r/theSuperbOwl, including Tom Brady and the pink singlet streaker. Plus a few answers to questions from some Pod Peeps. For the most part, though, the show covers a topic that we think will have a big impact on how the entertainment industry is set to change. Let us know what you think. We’ll all have a sit down with the big man upstairs. 7704646024. Follow Caddy on Twitter @atlcadillac and subscribe to the Letter by texting LEFTONRED to 22828.
04 Mar 2021 | Building hills with John Rich | 00:50:36
Nashville’s own John Rich is a special guest on this episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. When Caddy and Donna finish reminiscing about the Topless Taqueria del Agua, John phones in to talk to the pair himself. From bars that close at 9 to the cancellation of Dr. Seuss, it seems like we’ve seen it all. If there’s one person who attest to that, it’s John Rich. John explains how he got into business with someone from Portland, why Redneck Riviera moved down to Kentucky and the 110 college grants they’ve been able to fund through Folds of Honor. JR talks about how he ended up writing “Mississippi Girl” for Faith Hill. Then he answers a longtime question of Caddy’s - “As a songwriter, what does it mean to have some of your work put on hold for an artist that you’re… unsure about?” John responds with a story from the early 2000’s when a little-known Georgian wanted to reserve some of his songs. It goes to show that sometimes you have to just cross your fingers and “never ask why.” Cadillac Jack asks JR about Guitar Licks n’ Politics. That’s the up and coming project combining conservative, spitfire personalities and the best of country music. It goes without being said, you already know who has the 5 am slot. John talks about family, too, like what it really means to perform in those trademark rhinestone jeans from Granny (Ann) Rich. Plus the conversations he has been having with his sons Colt and Cash over the course of this rocky year. There’s only one question John Rich leaves unanswered- what did they just dig up in Turkey? If you know the answer, fill us in at 770-464-6024.
30 Dec 2021 | Little Giants | 00:44:54
There’s a lot of talk about John Madden on this episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Well, John Madden and (chicken) breasts. Tune into this show instead of the SEC Network and we’ll strike a deal. Plus, listen to the end for an Easter egg. Really, we should call it an easter segment. Subtle much? Goooooo Dawgs!
15 Apr 2021 | “We’ve done stewardess and pilot before.” | 00:38:53
How much is Donna’s vision worth? That’s the question that starts off this episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Then, what did you want to be when you were growing up? Do you remember? Donna can pretty much tell you her exact plan. Caddy wanted to be one of two things and… they’re very different. The reason we ask is because nowadays you don’t hear kids saying what they want to be. At least they don’t say the same things that we used to. The main point is that kids don’t want to limit themselves to single, traditional careers. They want to do more. Khloe Kardashian and “her unedited body” bring us into segment number two. It’s a conversation about filters, pictures and the stressors of today’s digital world. Things are not the same as when your parents took family pictures that were one and done. Then Cadillac Jack opens up. He’s feeling left out. The reason? Not one person has called him to offer commentary on the Derek Chauvin trial. With the amount of time Caddy has spent (voluntarily) in courthouses, he’s practically a criminal justice expert. Caddy gives a pretty in-depth look at police unions, public defenders and the intricacies of using an expert witness. Lastly Donna and Cadillac Jack get to the nuts and bolts- the key to a happy, thriving romance. They come at it with an understanding perspective. Do you have any idea how many costumes Caddy owns?
03 Aug 2021 | This one’s for Sandi | 00:44:38
It’s a somber episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act as we mourn the loss of Sandi Bennett. Sandi Bennett was the first person Caddy met in Atlanta and his de facto Georgia mother. She was cooking for him and a whole lot of others at The Buckboard. She gave Caddy a place to work and meet folks. She called him CJ. We lost Sandi at about 1 am Monday morning. She was an incredibly special woman and had a massive impact on so many folks. Donna, Caddy and the rest of the world are better people because Sandi has been in their lives. We know one thing is for sure- the karaoke machine has been fired up at the pearly gates.
09 Feb 2023 | Park City's newest ski instructor | 00:48:07
Suns out guns out here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We're getting ready for Spring Break and Donna's going skiing. Endearing and enduring stories from our lives. That's the name of the game here, as you've heard many times. Cadillac and Donna Jack kick us off down Memory Lane and on up the ski lift. We even have our own toned Ski Doula in tight ski pants. Then we talk about allegations. Not just certain allegations (cannibalism) but also the larger picture of allegations and the danger surrounding them. We look back at the only segment we've ever removed from a show, regardless of how we felt about the subjects of the story. We're an entertainment podcast (and partially music!) but we have standards. Plus, we do run into a lot of people at parties. We go straight from there, make a pit stop at copyright infringement, and keep running all the way through the future of country radio. There's a conversation about Morgan Wallen and how he inadvertently started the conversation of whether you can become an artist without the station. And of course, some highlights from the Grammy's. Paging Brantley Gilbert. Have you checked your mail today? Let us know. 7704646024.
20 Jan 2022 | Tractor Saddle | 00:50:08
Today's podcast is about 50 minutes long. It's one we'd call 'heavy,' in more ways than one. But I assure you it's worth it.
We start with potting up and end with tears on this episode of My Second Act. As Caddy said in the production notes, it has a segment we consider top 3 in the entire 2 years we've been broadcasting. So I'll shut up now and let you listen. (And you can hang around as long as you'd like.)
Share your thoughts with us afterwards at 7704646024.
22 Nov 2022 | Sounds filthy. Go on. | 00:48:37
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy and Donna get into the backlash from the Taylor Swift/Ticketmaster pre-sale fiasco. Donna opens a show with a funny story about a friend (who shall remain nameless) who fell asleep at the opera and ended up sitting in the handing cap spot. How did this come to be? Oh, and somehow we meander into the continued conversation about Caddy’s bedside manner again. Dead or not…alive. The segment continues. We had to, as Donna left a lot of names up in the air on the last one, so we’re back to tie up some loose ends. Poor Ticketmaster…I guess. In the aftermath of the just awful job managing the rollout of pre-sale tickets for Taylor’s upcoming tour, the CEO went on the public circuit tour to apologize and blame market demands and…Taylor Swift’s immeasurable success? Come on man. Taylor apologizes to the fans, too. We still love you. Don’t forget to hit up the grocery store before Thanksgiving, and Caddy has some advice: volunteer to bring cranberry sauce to the party. It’s the only Thanksgiving staple whose price has actually gone DOWN since the inflation boom of 2022. We’re you one of the lucky few who made it through the T-Swift ticket queue? Seriously? Tell us what it was like winning the lottery. Text or call 770-464-6024. And take us with you.
21 Dec 2021 | “My Life in the Far Right Lane with the Truckers.” | 00:56:17
Donna’s not feeling herself today, she’s about to man-handle a doctor for her fix. We’re sure in part it had to do with Caddy and Donna’s trip home this past weekend. You don’t want to miss the story. Did you forget your ham? We’ve got your back. Caddy and Donna went to Church this past weekend and got a peek behind the curtain. But the trip home the next morning was what we on the podcast call a “marriage tester.” Caddy sleeps in full chaos and it’s bothering the family. Then we close with a special pod peep story on Eric Church. Give us a call: 7704646024.
15 Jun 2021 | We want our money back, SmithField | 00:45:31
It’s a wiley coyote day here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. First off, Ned Beatty has passed away. Where the Red Fern Grows, All the President’s Men, Deliverance. They’re all ways we’ll remember the great Ned, and we take a moment to recognize them. Then Donna kicks uss off by playing Caddy his birthday Cameo. It was a bargain buy and… it shows. You’ll hear the full seven seconds and exactly why Donna wants a refund. Blake Shelton built a chapel for Gwen Stefani. We repeat, Blake Shelton built a chapel. Meanwhile, Donna and Cadillac Jack are having problems with their fire alarm. One of these things is not like the other. Donna brings us back to earth with the thoughtful songwriting of Brothers Osborne. It’s a few surreal moments in an episode of haywire. It doesn’t take long before Caddy starts talking about his master propane and baiters. Needless to say, this show takes the ‘E’ flag pretty quickly. Before the end of the show the Jacks explain a bit about naming rights and the new tours from Alan Jackson and Eric Clapton. Donna takes us out on one noteworthy bit- Kim Jong Un is a mean guy.
03 Oct 2023 | Can you call 9-1-1? | 00:40:55
Welcome to another episode of Cadillac Jack – My Second Act! On today’s show Caddy decorates for Halloween – but he still won’t lift a finger for Christmas. Baby steps. But first, Donna and Caddy talk about how elaborate and intense this year’s Halloween decorations are. Is this normal? Caddy and Donna don’t think so. Can you imagine being a FedEx or Amazon delivery person and running into a motion activated Kelsea Ballerini made the cover of TIME magazine recognizing “the 100 emerging leaders from around the world who are shaping the future and defining the next generation of leadership." And man, has she earned it. Speaking of earning some attention: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continue to make the news. Swift rolled into the Jets/Chiefs game with posse in tow (Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively). Some NFL fans have already had enough, though. Has the saga already gone too far? Caddy and Donna weigh in. Also, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are divorcing after 4 years of marriage. Celebrity divorces are not uncommon, but this one may be. Something happened on a Ring video camera at the couples house that caused Jonas to throw in the towel. What the heck happened?! Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift: too much or not enough? You weigh in. Text or call 770-464-6024.
04 Aug 2020 | Cheat Day | 00:53:01
Jody Jackson has the intro today and there is no shortage of great JJ stories. He was a promotions director for Y106 and basically started March Across Georgia. Jody went to school with Donna (along with Julia Roberts) and now every time he calls, the Choates go crazy. He’s on another level of hard work. He lived on the road with T Graham Brown and helped Gov. Deal. Nowadays he’s running the John Jarrard Foundation with Bruce Birch, working with amazing songwriters and giving money to a lot of North Georgia charities. He’s so much fun, a very hard worker and we’re so glad to have his intro today! Donna is not getting a Peloton. Instead, she is staring at trainers and buying (more) kitty litter. Garth Brooks called a press conference this week with country (and general) media across the country. He has announced that he is stepping away from a few Country highlights. On an unrelated note, he’s also opening a new bar. The question is: will Caddy also be removing himself from the ballot for Country’s Entertainer of the Year? Donna talks about how the award is really for those who are pushing Country music forward. The real Country vanguard. So, the jury is still out for Caddy. Donna has always wanted a water feature as part of the Choate household. Caddy has been making some calls and it looks like her wish is going to come true. Sorta. That conversation follows an update on the sprinkle debacle we heard about last show. The show takes a serious note as Caddy and Donna continue their reflection on the passing of Rep. John Lewis. It is clear that those who have stories to tell about the social justice icon have only beautiful stories to tell. The most lucrative deal in sports just came through. Let’s just say that Donna is about to be a Kansas City fan. Caddy has never seen Donna hold a set of clubs. Donna tells Caddy she’s looking at the pro circuit. Where’s the disconnect here? Call the show and let us know. Subscribe to the new shows Hustle and Caddy Wagon so you don’t miss a thing. When you’re done, text caddy about it. 7704646024.
14 Jul 2020 | “This is going to be unsavory.” | 00:57:21
Keith Connors intros the show today and it is NOT one you’ll want to miss. Connors was also on in the morning and is “an absolute hustler.” At the end of the show Caddy and Donna (particularly Donna) share some truly great stories about him to boot. It used to be that American tabloids were really aggressive but it seems like they’ve backed off. British tabs? Not so much. Johnny is not happy with the Sun and the royals. Caddy and Donna open the show by breaking down why that is. On the other hand, Donna does love a good British-American group, which is why the second segment of the show is dedicated to Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. We’re halfway through the year if you can believe it. Caddy and Donna mark the occasion by working through the top albums, songs and artists for the year. There is only one country artist on the top physical albums of the year. That’s “go to Walmart and buy a CD” physical albums. Any guesses? You can not NOT tell Donna Choate the truth and have her not find out. Caddy knows that and still tried to pull a fast one. Before he could pull around to the back of the Arby’s, a white Audi came up behind him. One Q-Tip later and Caddy was on his way home. Donna has been getting a lot of questions of what it was like for Caddy to get tested. Caddy talks through the process and describes his experience as a patient. Donna thinks that we are all “coming out worse than went we went in.” She’s also upset that she hasn’t learned American Sign Language or how to make a soufflé. Instead of doing a traditional yard sale, consider the Yard Sale 2.0. Caddy and Donna cover the best new way to get rid of unwanted household items. As folks spend so much time at home they’re learning things about their spouses and family members. Caddy and Donna talk about all the ways they find that to be a silver lining. And “it’s not because we think Bernie Sanders is a cute little old man.”
11 Mar 2021 | “No but I still got a royal hosing.” | 00:49:24
This episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act features a man named Pee Pee and a Brit named Sean. Donna met Pee Pee on TaskRabbit. He’s coming to the house on Friday to look over the trampoline. He said they’ll make do. Meanwhile the CDC has new guidance on who can hug who. You’ll hear the clip on today’s and be just as confused as Caddy and Donna. We go to Sean, the show’s British Correspondent to fill in some royal blanks. It makes up the bulk of the show and will give the perspective of someone who is very much in support of the Crown. Before he hangs up Sean plays a quick game of Can’t Beat Jack. It’s 40 seconds of nail-biting. Find out who gets hosed. Then there is a new series of concerts booked for the Uncorked Concert Series at Painted Horse Winery. Caddy gives a quick intro and pitches the first artist- Jeffrey Steele. You’ll hear a couple of the hits Steele has written over the years like “Shotgun Rider,” “Knee Deep” and “Stick That in Your Country Song.” To close the show, we run through a couple of pod peeps for the episode like Misty Cato. Follow Caddy on Twitter @atlcadillac and subscribe to The Letter by texting LEFTONRED to 22828.
21 Jun 2022 | Cadillac Jack threw Taylor Swift a prom | 00:42:05
On today's episode of the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast, we've got Taylor Swift stories. But first, Father’s Day was Sunday and we kick off the show talking a little bit about what it means to different people. Some people no longer have their fathers in their lives, for whatever reason, and Donna talks about what that’s like, too. She lost her dad in 1998 and for her, Father’s Day is a reminder of how much she misses him and wishes she could talk to him again and get his advice. About 16 years ago, Taylor Swift came out with her debut single, entitled Tim McGraw. Caddy talks about the T-Swift he got to know back then, and the special event he put on for her when she came by the radio station. In fact, Taylor, who was home schooled and didn’t have a typical high school experience, was actually given a “prom” complete with tiara, dancing and flowers. It’s an event she reminds him about anytime she sees him. We also get to check in with one of our Pod Peeps, April. We always appreciate talking to all of you that support the podcast and make it possible through your loyal listenership. Thank you! What do you remember most about your prom? Any funny stories! Tell us! Text or call 770-464-6024.
15 Feb 2022 | Corey Crowder joins the show | 00:30:24
It’s a country music rundown on this week’s episode of My Second Act. Corey Crowder joins Donna and Caddy on My Second Act to talk about TikTok, what record labels are looking for, Tyler Rich and more. Caddy and Donna also go over the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards nominations. They touch on the highlights, the snubs and predictions. Thoughts on this year's snubs? Let us know! Call or text 770-464-6024.
09 Mar 2021 | Led Zeppelin, Dolly Parton and Ethiopian food | 00:50:36
Dolly Parton sings us in on today’s Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Then the show can’t fully begin until Donna and Cadillac Jack clear the air. You’ll have to stick with us through the first six minutes of the episode as we dig up some irritation with memes, communication habits and “a double dose of Rock.” The real show starts with a tip: You can now listen to Cadillac Jack: My Second Act on all Delta flights. Just search “Cadillac Jack” on the Atlanta-based airline’s in-flight entertainment center. Then some quick hits like Morgan Wallen’s record breaking week and the Grammy’s new producer. The real meat of the show is spent on Oprah’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. There were more than a couple jaw-dropping moments in the two-hour special. Donna points out some anger over Harry’s parents, crisis-inducing pressures on Meghan and who exactly was concerned about their son Archie’s skin color. You’ll hear a few clips that were not aired during the interview. Loneliness and thoughts of self harm were discussed in the interview, something that will cast more light on the challenges of mental health. There were a few bright lights in the show, like Tyler Perry’s good graces and the incoming baby girl. Louie Anderson had a role in Coming to America because Paramount said the movie had to have a white guy. At least, that’s what Eddie Murphy says. You’ll hear the clip in question and a preview of the follow-up, which is streaming on Amazon Prime. The reason we talk about it on the show is because of the massive marketing campaign that pushed it out. From wrapped trucks to high-dollar commercials, the promotions were everywhere. The show caps with a story about Ethiopian food. That’s all we have to say.
07 Apr 2021 | Bonus: Shayne Wilson and the Atlanta International Auto Show | 00:26:51
MAADA’s Shayne Wilson stops by the studio to talk with Cadillac Jack about the 39th Annual Atlanta International Auto Show. Tune in and hear all about what you can expect at Atlanta’s Spring Thing. The Atlanta International Auto Show will be at Georgia World Congress Center from April 14 to 18. Get your tickets at goautoshow.com and we’ll see you there!
19 May 2022 | Private parts on private property | 00:49:03
Grab Captain Lee, Kate and Eddie the Bosun. We're under way here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast.
If you don't hear anything else from this podcast, hear this: we want you to fail. Well, sorta. Donna and Caddy have some advice about learning through failure, setbacks and stalls. It's all inspired by Pinkie Cole (the CEO of Slutty Vegan) and her inspirational speech last week for Clark Atlanta University's commencement ceremony.
Caddy and Donna spend a few minutes with Johnny Cash's privates and the Billboard Music Awards. Unlike the BMAs, they might surprise you. Then Matt Griffin, CEO of Action Wrestling, comes back on the show to talk about Cadillac Jack's upcoming debut. (Caddy has questions about wiggle room.)
It's a short, sweet and slightly melodic episode. Take a listen, then let us know what you think. 7704646024.
24 Jan 2024 | Stoners vs. Drinkers | 00:45:05
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On today’s show Donna describes how she sold the vest off a man’s back. But first, have you ever walked into a Starbucks and someone was just…drinking coffee? Most of the time, you’ll see someone on their phone, laptop or reading a book. Well, Donna spotted an older gentleman who was just sitting back and enjoying a cup of joe. Imagine that. Have we become too busy to just slow down and take a look around? Speaking of too busy: Caddy is finding it…difficult to get in some piano practices before his big show. He has plenty of good excuses though, or so says Caddy. Also, you won’t want to miss this story about how Donna literally sold the vest off a man’s back unbeknownst to him. We all know Donna is a great salesperson, but this is next level. Lastly, we have a conversation about Elle King’s recent “performance” at a Dolly Parton tribute concert where she showed up absolutely hammered and frankly, embarrassed herself. Who was at fault? When do you know you have a problem? Have you ever had to apologize to someone for your actions the night before while in the cups? Let us know and for what. Text or call 770-464-6024.
27 Oct 2020 | Interview: Mark Wills and the state of the music industry | 01:04:05
On this special show of the My Second Act podcast, Mark Wills sits down (virtually) with Donna and Cadillac Jack. You’ll be surprised to hear what it’s like to have your world inverted as a touring musician, to interact with fans through a new channel (From The Bunker!) and to travel the country with your family in an RV…. for fun. This is an episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act that you won’t want to miss.
24 Dec 2020 | Who got the clap(per) for Christmas? | 00:29:44

17 Oct 2023 | I don’t need four peanuts | 00:41:57
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast, where Donna and Caddy are getting old and the Instacart guy needs to use some common sense. When you are old, you get cold more. Donna opens the show with some complaints about the downsides of turning 50. Caddy, begrudgingly, has to agree. It’s a b**** getting old. Speaking of feeling old. Caddy and Donna talk about an old friend they ran into and how life puts a lot of things into perspective the older you get. You remember things differently, you aren’t as quick to anger, and simple things brings peace that they didn’t used to. We’ve also got some tales from the trail down in Coweta County. Look…we’re not having thuggish behavior down here on the South Side. When are these criminals going to understand this?! Insta Cart. Love them and hate the, but what would we do without them? The thing is…no one needs 4 jars of peanuts and unfortunately for Donna, this takes some explaining to do. You’ve all been there! What is one thing you can or can’t do now that you’re old? Text or call 770-464-6024. If you’re young…buzz off.
15 Nov 2022 | Let’s go do whatever | 00:57:27
On today's episode of the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast, Donna brings the receipts. Reuben and Rita - it happened, folks. Thanksgiving is always a good time for college kids (and parents) to reunite in the middle of the chaos of first semester. Donna opens the show talking about missing Olivia, who is in her first semester at the University of Tennessee, and who she hasn’t had home since August. Then Caddy and Donna get right back into the afterglow of the CMA Awards. Caddy in particular got a lot of questions from the listener line (call or text 770-464-6024 anytime!) that he wants to address. In particular, was Maren Morris there? After her blowup with Brittany Aldean, did she show up? The answers is yes, sort of. Caddy explains. Donna’s longtime friend Allison joins the show to validate Donna’s truly bizarre story about their mutual friend Rita and her high school…husband, Reuben. Donna has known Allison since 5th grade and Allison was in the room for most of Rita and Reuben’s shenanigans. In fact, she was actually in the wedding! So yes, the story is true, and we know you are here for all the juicy details. Crazy high school stories. Got one? No way it can top Rita and Reuben…right? Call or text 770-464-6024 and let us know!
06 Jul 2023 | Up and down, east to west | 00:51:11
It's a great afternoon here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We're still recovering from the Fourth of July and have a few firey things to say. Strap in and tune out. I think. It's been a weird week for sure. Some people had the whole week off, some people worked every hour. We here on the show were on the clock the whole time. Donna hasn't stopped moving since last Thursday and has the oatmeal to show for it. Cadillac Jack completed the Peachtree Road Race for the first time, and set a record while doing it. Just not exactly the record direction you're thinking. We talk controversy in Country Music and intro the MLB All Star game, where Caddy thinks the Atlanta Braves should run the show. And Donna brings up the very important topic of loneliness and its affect on today's health crisis. Have a thought for it? Let us know. 7704646024.
18 Jan 2024 | Big burly fellows | 00:42:44
It's all fun and games on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Until it's not. Donna starts us off with a recent episode of big burly men. Caddy responds that it kind of makes him want some new luggage. You know, to leave town. Then we talk about Chase Rice and some other wintery country music artists. Donna brings up what everyone (besides Cadillac Jack) is talking about - Saltburn. No spoilers here, but you will probably want to go watch it after this episode. Just do it cautiously. We round the corner going through Caddy's recent accidents and road disputes. We have to cut it off because of the time limit. You get it. Honk the horn. 7704646024.
12 Jul 2022 | Mary Magdalene has arrived | 00:51:36
Donna and Charlotte went to the movies this weekend to see Chris Hemsworth…I mean to see the new Thor movie. Caddy didn’t go, because this was one of those dine and watch movie theaters and you know how Caddy is with noises other than his own. Find out what got Donna all hot and bothered – other than Chris Hemsworth. Also, remember when pod peep Linda Leon said that she prays for Donna differently than she prays for Caddy? What was that all about? Caddy HAS to know. Linda responds. If you were refreshing your inbox all day Saturday waiting for your copy of The Letter…well, we’re sorry that the people over at Revue and Twitter couldn’t get their act together. Apparently their servers went down and didn’t bother to tell anyone. Sorry folks. We’ll be back at it this weekend better than ever. Let’s talk country music and the Billboard 100 Top Country Music Albums chart. This comes after Luke Combs’ ‘Growin’ Up’ debuts at No. 1 this week. That got us thinking…who has spent the MOST time at No. 1 all time? The answer will probably surprise you. All that and much more on today’s episode of Cadillac Jack – My Second Act. Thanks for tuning in! NEXT EPISODE: It’s the halfway point of 2022 and we’ll be talking top moments in pop culture. What has been the year's moment so far? Text or call 770-464-6024.
21 Apr 2020 | “One year ago this week, I ran over Roscoe.” | 01:01:08
Thank you to Christy Darby for introducing today’s show! Caddy got to know her through interaction on social media from back in the Kicks days and she’s followed him over to the podcast. Thanks for all your support! There was a little drama in the Choate house surrounding game night. Donna got a little impatient playing ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ and she may or may not have ruined the came for Caddy. He’s a little bitter. Find out more. Luke Combs just released what Caddy thinks is going to be the anthem for this crazy time, much like Alan Jackson’s Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning) after 9/11. It is called Six Feet Apart and Caddy thinks it will be the CMA Song of the Year. Donna and Caddy discuss. Has self-quarantining got you thinking about an old friend? Or even an ex-significant other? Everything is changing and current circumstances can leave you thinking about the past and what could have been. Donna and Caddy talk about how we mourn, celebrate and how to cope with some of the loneliness you might be feeling. A year ago, Caddy ran over Roscoe, one of the family’s beloved coon hounds. It was a traumatic event for the whole family and we’ve all heard tid bits about the story, but on this anniversary Donna and Caddy recount the whole ordeal. He’s doing great now! Thanks everyone for checking on him and sending your love his way. NEW PROMOTION! Do you know someone in your hometown who is going above and beyond during the coronavirus pandemic? 23 Dec 2023 | Is he capable? | 00:39:15
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On today’s episode, Donna is in hot demand. Donna’s mom has a new roommate a the assisted living facility. Donna was helping her get all moved in, and making sure she was comfortable, when all of a sudden Donna was assaulted. In more ways than one. Also, have you seen the new David Beckham documentary? Donna has…and she’s a fan. Lastly, we have got a HUGE country music round-up you will not want to miss. Gabby Barrett, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and more. Tune in! We hope you have a very Merry Christmas. Always feel free to reach out to us. Text or call 770-464-6024.
03 Nov 2022 | Three tickets to paradise | 00:58:37
We start this Halloween episode with a recap of black cats, questionable costumes and 2 pm traffic. One question off the top - when did Halloween costumes become so… short? Then we take it to Esther and her two CEOs. Do you think we are doing too much for our kids? Can we fix it by asking them to stir the pancake batter? Cadillac and Donna Jack chime in. Then a few quick hits, like daylight savings, Dolly Parton and Eminem. Which leads us to the next segment: Where do you get your news? If you're like 10% of Americans, your answer is Tik Tok. Donna gives some advice on how to tell the slides from the noodles. We go from there to parenting and round it up with some Judd news ourselves. Don't miss the tour! Once you're all tuned in and ready for action, we hit the ground running. That's right. Ben Burnett calls in to talk Election Day, politicians and how to commit tax fraud. Just kidding…right? Who knows. Take a listen, then come back next week when it's time to face the music. We'll see just how close Ben's predictions were to being right. Get your betting slips in now at 7704646024.
09 Jul 2020 | Some assembly required | 00:46:32
Trudie Daniels has the intro today. Her job is to promote quite a roster of country artists and she works incredibly hard to accomplish it. There are so many things Caddy and Donna love about Trudie, but one of the major ones is how she handles herself in the industry. We’re so thankful to have her friendship and intro on today’s show. Donna has been spending a lot of… time….on Amazon. As a result, Caddy has been spending a lot of time building and assembling. It’s possible that the trend will never end. Charlie Daniels passed away this week. Caddy and Donna spend a lot of time on the show sharing their thoughts and stories about Mr. Daniels. All in all, we’re hoping that he and Kenny Rogers are putting together a great band up there right now. Hamilton came out on Disney+. Does it hold up to the hype? Maybe. After discussing the streaming version, Donna gives a peek behind the scenes of Atlanta performing arts and touring shows in general. Hopefully out of all of this will come some incredible show writing. It seems like there were no July 4th celebrations. Anywhere. Caddy didn’t even hear a piccolo. Caddy and Donna were still able to enjoy some fireworks, just not the traditional kind. It’s important for couples to learn how to be a couple. Hear about how to reinforce those lessons and what to do if (and when) you come across some cracks. Universities around the country are deciding how they’re going to reopen. Caddy and Donna cover a great way to fill those apartments and dorms without breaking the bank. This week’s Appy segment finishes out the show, with Donna sharing her toolkit for starting the day. When you first use this week’s Appy, it’s going to feel weird and frustrating. Like anything, the app takes time. If you stick with it, you’ll be glad you did.
09 Dec 2021 | Go get your cash, grab it while you can. | 00:41:58
We kick off today's episode by talking about the phenomenon of sharing your pay. Caddy peels back the curtain on radio and lets you in on the money secrets of the industry. Have thoughts? Let us know. 7704646024. Google still has not gotten the resources of the podcast back to Caddy, so we’re once again flying by the seat of our pants. Donna’s got some trouble with Christmas Cards but some other families have a solution and it's this episode's word of the day: embargo. The My Second Act team has been extended an invitation to the Winter Podcast Ball, but they’re clearly hiding something. Instagram has been feeling the heat, and they’re making changes. And finally, we recap the mass layoffs from “Better.com.”
20 Dec 2022 | It’s not final until its vinyl | 00:41:34
Caddy is back! After taking a week off the podcast since…ever, Caddy is back in your feeds with a new episode featuring songwriter Greg Barnhill. Caddy kicks off the show by explaining that right now, he’s not OK, and he really just needed some time away from the show and the stress that was piling up elsewhere in life. And that’s OK! We all need some breaks once in a while, and to unplug and get away. What is important is that you are honest with yourself and honest with your family. Fortunately for the listeners, Caddy’s time away involved some relaxing time with friend and country music singer Joanna Cotten, and legendary songwriter Greg Barnhill. Caddy was kicking back and listening to a collaboration between Joanna and Greg and afterward asked Greg if he’d mind joining the show. Greg jumps on the blower with Caddy to talk songwriting and specifically, the Backstreet Boys’ new Christmas Album and the radio single from it, Christmas in New York, which Greg wrote. While they were only planning on talking for about 20 minutes, the conversation went on for about an hour and we’ll bring you Part 2 on Thursday’s pod. How do artists find songs? What inspires songwriters? What is a “hold?” All that and more on today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. What is one of your favorite Christmas memories? We want to know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
12 Oct 2023 | A different kind of beaver | 00:35:44
We're in a hurry and tummy hurting on this very special episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act.
Donna and Cadillac Jack start us off with some safety concerns. Let's just say one thing - security was a bit tighter back in the day. And that's not all.
Donna Jack brings some news back from Dollywood, which is the number one theme park in the United States. Why, you ask? Because the elderly run it. Just bear with us as Donna fills us in.
From there Caddy takes us to Buc-ee's. Spoiler alert: there is not one thing you need in that store. But you will leave with it all. It's a different kind of beaver here on the show.
We also hear an update on Joanna Cotten and a lighter update on folks who are doing some really great work. Know someone similar? Let us know. 7704646024.
03 Jan 2023 | Donna needs to remodel. Sally has got to go. | 00:38:56
It’s a good day in the Jack household. Donna’s beloved Dawgs pulled off a stunner as the clock turned midnight on New Years Eve and Caddy has zero resolutions to make. But first, we say goodbye to Sally, our beloved 18 year old pup. She has always been the honey to Rosco’s salty, and she has outlived some pretty notable folks. Who would’ve thought she’d outlive the Queen? Alas, we bid her happy trails as she makes her way over the rainbow. On a lighter note…how ‘bout them DAGWS?! UGA advanced to the national championship game to face the TCU Horned Frogs when it defeated Ohio State in dramatic fashion - at the stroke of midnight - on New Years Eve. You can’t script it any better. We go over some of the best #DawgsOnTop videos from social media. Can Stetson finally get some damn credit from Kirby? Plus, a look back at the episode immediately after Georgia defeated Alabama in the 2022 national championship. Also, a lot of celebrities and really notable people have been punching their tickets in the last few days and weeks. What gives? Pope Francis will preside over the funeral of Pope Benedict – something we haven’t seen in over 600 years. Also, Barbara Walters, may she rest in peace. She had four (!) different actors impersonate her on SNL and leaves behind an extraordinary legacy. Lastly, the big reveal for the name of the Season 4 Hype Song Playlist… All that and more on the first episode of 2023 for Cadillac Jack – My Second Act! We don’t do score predictions. We know who will win. So, text or call and let us know how many you think the Dawgs are winning the natty by. 770-464-6024.
26 Mar 2024 | Ch-ch-ch-changes. | 00:32:26
An update on Riley Strain. And as a new season begins, changes are in the wind. Plus, Donna forgot to wear her underwear, again.
22 Dec 2020 | Ok, who mailed Donna a fruitcake? | 00:47:42
Someone mailed Donna a fruitcake. So if that’s you, thanks! Also, why? To fulfill our semi-music category, there a couple industry hits on the agenda: ERNEST, a new country artist inspired by a blend of Eminem and George Strait. Thomas Rhett is off Instagram and his fans are off Thomas Rhett A new piece from Eminem himself Caddy and Donna went on vacation but went incognito. Would you go to Disney World right now? Would you really? Postal workers must be done. They’re really over it. Caddy wants to know how much smack they’re getting right now. Donna explains and asks a couple questions about the interworkings of USPS. Caddy takes the next segment to make a confession. Then if you’re wondering, there is no fondant on a Dairy Queen cake. Caddy would know, because he just went to DQ to get himself a cake. A whole cake. Then Donna went to DQ herself and spent $72. $72. One more time: $72. The bit transitions to a story about a man who has a relationship with the most dangerous animal in South Africa. Then another story about a plane crash that revealed a love affair. It’s a jam packed and sporadic episode. You’ll love it.
06 May 2021 | Let’s see how long we can go without an ‘E’ tag. | 00:44:31
The show opens with a detective novel about Bill Gates, Detective Cline and Shania Twain. That’s right- we’re talking about ‘gray divorce,’ or splitting up after 50. Donna thinks that men get needier as they get older. Cadillac Jack agrees. The second segment talks about a mother found in the middle of a desert eating grass and moss. The problem for her is that she didn’t want to be found. “Are you kidding me? There are hot campers around.” There’s also a bit about music licensing, as Red Hot Chili Peppers become the latest group to sell their rights. The third segment covers a recent hot mic episode on Fox and Friends. Kevin McCarthy was caught with his (audio) pants down. Allegedly. Caddy and Donna talk about some of the implications, along with whether or not it was really an accident. Similarly, a woman just caught her husband cheating because he didn’t realize the bluetooth was on. What are the three things you couldn’t do without? You’ll hear a few answers. Bluetooth is not one of them. It’s all covered on this episode of Hot Mic with Donna and Caddy.
25 Jul 2023 | I’m Donna and I can do it | 00:48:15
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act Podcast! On today’s show, Donna is going mountain climbing, and Caddy is…not. So, Donna opens the show talking about her new goal of climbing mountains. Literally. She is going to find a nice comfortable pair of hiking boots, hit a rave, and then climb the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest. Caddy wishes her the best of luck. Donna went and saw the new Barbie movie with some girlfriends, pink cowboy hat and all. The movie is breaking all sorts of box office records and she and Caddy discuss the craze and their thoughts on the reactions the movie has received. Caddy ran across a poll that showed that 24% of young adults think the institution of marriage is outdated. Is that number high? Low? Find out what Caddy and Donna think. Text or call 770-464-6024 and let us know.
21 Jul 2020 | “He yodels on this project.” | 00:55:55
Jodie Darden Hall intros the show today. She and Caddy went to high school together in Hickory, North Carolina. They got to reminisce about Hickory and Jodie gave Caddy an update- yes, Shells is still kicking and has a new diner. You may recognize it. Jodie has been a big supporter of Caddy’s career and we’re so thankful to have her kick off the show. Donna starts off the show with a big announcement. Actually, one of a few big announcements headed Caddy’s way. Contrary to what she said last week, Donna has learned a few things over the course of her house arrest. Speaking of learning, a big part of the show today focuses on local schools and the decisions surrounding Fall classes. From football players to band members to bus drivers to parents, everyone will be affected by those choices in the next few weeks. With some of the news this week it has felt like all of the air has been let out of the room. Donna and Caddy don’t know what the answers are. Still, it’s important to talk and acknowledge it. There are a lot of emotions roaming around and it’s important to address them. Donna’s Appy this week is like Tik Tok in the sense that you can spend hours on it. Except this app could be used to find birthday presents and involves Carole Baskin, Ice Cube and Caitlyn Jenner. It leads Caddy and Donna into a conversation about paid appearances and their approaches on how to act at them. Some radio personalities will sit under their tent and wait for fans to approach. Others will call out on the show for listeners to “come and meet me at the Papa Johns in Marietta.” Caddy has a different style. Donna has all the answers. Whether it’s interacting with the clients or the talent, she gives Caddy a few tips from her prospective. Donna thinks it’s funny to blow an air horn behind a heart attack survivor. Then she gives Caddy a quick beaver update. It’s not even in the top three for worst things done on today’s show.
05 Jul 2022 | Not embarrassed. Grab and grip. | 00:47:46
Donna opens the show with both a shoutout to Olivia for her birthday this week and by reminiscing on kids getting older, not having as much time for mom, and just in general the circle that is life. It goes by in a flash and everyone should enjoy every second of it – especially with your babies. Casey Motter has been the voice of the Braves at Turner Field and now Truist Park for the last 15 years. Tragically, he passed away in his sleep last week. Caddy and Donna talk about what he meant to so many Georgians and his amazing road to the microphone. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Speaking of baseball…if you are a Braves fan, you probably caught some of Freddie Freeman’s return to Atlanta and all the tears that came with it. Now we come to find out, that some of those tears may have had to do with the news that Freddie did NOT receive information from his agent on the final offer from the Braves. What?! All that and more on today’s jam packed episode! Teaser: On the next episode, we are going to talk about what’s going on with the aviation industry. They’re paying people thousands of dollars to book different flights…who is not taking that money?! Ever been offered money by an airline to rebook? How much? Did you take it? Let us know! Call or text 770-464-6024.
06 Aug 2020 | “Donna, they’re rolling papers.” | 00:56:39
Welcome to Caddy Wagon with Ritch-oops, sorry! Wrong show. It’s another day in paradise with Cadillac Jack: My Second Act (a semi-music podcast). 1. School is out forever. 2. Kenny Chesney bailed. 3. The Atlanta Ballet Nutcracker is cancelled. Is nothing sacred? That’s what Donna want to know. After airing some grievances, she and Caddy spend a bit of time working through Atlanta’s event schedule and how some of the venues have shifted. Believe it or not there are a few silver linings. Do you have Chris Stapleton fatigue? Are you or someone that you love experiencing heartache after listening to today’s country lyrics? Let us know. It happens to everyone and you may be entitled to a $0 settlement. It took Chris 13 years to write Traveller, so, it’s possible that even Chris Stapleton has Chris Stapleton fatigue. Also on the grill today is Luke Combs. Incredible songwriter with a wicked sense of humor and a deceptively thick beard. Plus a few different lingos covered on the show: stitch, skinned cats and high-backed Adirondacks. Caddy can’t play Eric Church. Eric Church (maybe) can’t spell. Donna can’t sing like Aretha. It’s been a frustrating week for the Choates. Caddy likes to be in control. More than once, that became an issue back in the morning show days. Caddy takes a deep dive into some of the practices of Radio and arguments that he would have about taping interviews. It all comes down to what Caddy calls “the Oprah effect.” At the end of the day the verdict comes in that radio is fun and entertaining, but it also has to play by a different set of rules. What flies for TV broadcasters and legacy news organizations doesn’t always get off the ground for radio. On an unrelated note (promise) Caddy jumps in to the old days with Tug, George Straight and the great “Guess Your Wife’s Weight to Win” bit. Let’s just say that Darius Rucker did not participate. The show caps with a dangerous question- do you have a child? Let’s rephrase. Which child is your favorite? Caddy and Donna skate on thin ice for the latest segment. Warning: Caddy’s answer will not surprise anyone. Save a horse, text Caddy. 7704646024.
23 Jul 2020 | Donna, follow the lead! | 00:58:01
Val and Garrett gave us today’s intro. They’re industry pros and go way back with Donna. They are incredibly kind and loyal friends, which as we know is critically important. We are so proud of them and appreciative of their support over the years. Do you call Atlanta “Hotlanta?” Are you from Atlanta? That’s what we thought. Regardless of the nicknames that carpetbaggers use to describe the city, it really has been hot and humid. And because heat rises, there have been some A/C fights in the Choate house. What’s the policy when you’re a visitor in someone’s house? Open season or hands off? How many adds were there in country radio last week? Which songs? Caddy and Donna discuss as they work through some of the recently reported charts. Eventually the conversation leads to the topic of love triangles within country music. And love triangles in life. Sorry, I mean “entanglements.” You are quarantined with the first artist you saw in concert. Who is it? Caddy and Donna give their answers and cover what those situations would look like. It’s going to be a long quarantine for Caddy, based on his first artist. Donna is looking forward to hers. Time to get tantric. Turns out courthouse hopping is not as fun when you’re on the docket. Caddy learned that when he had to show up in the Milton Municipal Courthouse. He also has another scheduled appearance down in Rabun County. Let’s just hope that none of the show listeners work for Rabun County. Or are solicitors for the City of Milton. The verdict is in for Georgia’s High School sports. There are still a lot of questions about the situation, like if spectators will be allowed to attend or if there will be fight songs from the band. There are also a whole bunch of opinions that go with it.
18 Sep 2020 | EARLY: Caddy and Donna's recap of the 2020 ACM Awards | 00:25:26
As a treat we're releasing this bonus episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act early! Tune in for a quick recap of the 2020 ACM Awards.
20 Oct 2020 | 18th Century erotic poetry with Ben Burnett | 00:41:05
Have you ever been in the bar, barefoot, at last call, when the Cowboys show up? Donna has, and knows it has happened to Caddy too, because she was with him when it happened. Believe it or not there was a time when some Florida Georgia Line was considered “new country” and certain radio stations wouldn’t play it. Bet that has changed since then. Caddy and Donna talk about it and why it’s important for songs to have an intro. Here’s a hint: without an intro it’s impossible for radio to sell the song or sell the artist. How do you organize your memes? Where do you get them? How do you use them? Those are the gripping questions that steal the second segment of the show. They might even lead into a new Appy segment next week. Then it’s time for round 6 and to see if the great Ben Burnett can beat Jack. Ben calls in to the show to play a quick round of Can’t Beat Jack and talk shop with the Choates. Skip forward to about 19 minutes in to hear the game but hold onto your hats- at least one contestant runs the board. Don't forget to give Hemp Farmacy - Alpharetta a like on Facebook to win a Halloween gift basket. Then text Caddy about it. 7704646024.
22 Mar 2022 | "Is that a liquor…or a body fluid?" | 00:48:54
It’s a no holds barred type of episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, with stories from the ditch outside Atlanta Motor Speedway and the bush next to Donna’s mailbox the morning of a neighborhood estate sale. Charlotte got sick, and I am talking REALLY sick (including all over Donna’s car). She is feeling better, but not until Donna took her punishment for oversleeping for the carpool line. Caddy is not a big fan of the new Ga 400/285 updates, but then, who is? The exits are literally changing locations and it is throwing Caddy for a loop. Get it? And Donna explains that how her directional skills are entirely contingent on knowing which way Chattanooga is. The interstate dilemma was preceded by a trip to Atlanta Motor Speedway and Caddy observed a Fold of Honor. A Fold of Honor is DEFINITELY not what Donna thought it was. The trip brought back some memories for Caddy though, or lack thereof, and he reminisces about waking up in a ditch. Or a ravine. Not sure. All that and MUCH more on today’s jam packed episode of My Second Act! This episode is dedicated to Pod Peep Jason Williamson. What's the most embarrassing place you woke up "the next morning?" We want to know! Text or call at 770-464-6024.
08 Apr 2021 | You need to know what you’re getting in to. | 00:39:21
This episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act is one of those things that you sign up for but when it actually happens…. Just kidding. That’s what the first segment of the show is about, though. Caddy and Donna once signed up to host a nonprofit gala. Then they found out what it means to host a nonprofit gala. (Spoiler alert: it means you’re on the line for cash.) Then this past weekend Cadillac Jack was invited to plant a vineyard. He thought it meant a ceremonial shovel-holding, wine-drinking afternoon. 18 hours and 2 bottles of Advil later, Caddy knows that it meant literally planting a vineyard. The Academy of Country Music Awards is coming up. Eric Church is one of the headliners and he’s on a mission to get all of his fans vaccinated. Donna and Caddy fulfill the show’s designation as a semi-music podcast by breaking down exactly what this means for Country Music. There’s also a quick hit on what other performers you can expect to see at the ACMs. Caddy and Donna move on to talk me-batticals. Donna explains what they are and how she heard about them. It’s basically a break from life filled with books. At the beach. No family, no friends. Just eating, sleeping and getting massages. So, Donna’s dream of decompression. And Caddy’s nightmare. His response? “I’m so tired.” The show wraps up before Donna is able to rotate his blood. Maybe next week. PS It’s been 62 days since anyone has seen Morgan Wallen. Know where he is? Let us know at 7704646024.
10 Mar 2022 | Double pump where's the fun? | 00:41:39
My name is Cadillac Jack and I prepared a few words before I came up here. We're reinventing ourselves on today's episode of My Second Act.
The Academy of Country Music Awards just happened and we're still recovering. (Chris Stapleton, Eric Church and of course, our boy Morgan Wallen.) If you haven't heard yet, you'll hear the scortchers from Caddy and Donna. And if you're playing Lenny Kravitz in the background, please give us a heads up. Seriously - where is Joana Cotton? If you've seen her, let us know. 7704646024.
20 May 2021 | Reverse Gossip and the Little Green Men | 00:49:17
There are a whole bunch of little green men tuned in to today’s episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Well, probably. The episode starts off with a list of things we get excited about. But then Donna asks, “what are you excited for this week?” Well, hmmm. “It’s just easier to come up with things I’m NOT excited about.” This episode is not 60 minutes long, but it does include audio from 60 Minutes. That’s because footage was recently declassified that may lend some credit to the existence of extraterrestrials. Donna wants one as a pet. “Dress him. Carry him around.” Anyways, something the size of a 737 descended into Pacific airspace and the US Military couldn’t identify it. Which they admitted. On 60 minutes. After talking about aliens, we move onto Chrissy Teigen. No they are not related. Except for that they both blew Donna away. After that, producer Carl comes on the air to talk about his own Appy. You’ll hear about a new way to rent, drive and possibly be arrested in, cars. Don’t speed away. Seen an alien? Tell us about it. 7704646024.
21 Sep 2023 | Big steaming bowl of Cadillac Jack | 00:31:29
We're stretching and elongating today on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We have Eric Church tonight in (Awesome) Alpharetta so we'll keep this one brief.
We've got Phil Collins, dripping ice cream and a few new bear hugs. Tune in and then, hopefully, we'll see you at the show. 7704646024.
04 Jan 2022 | The 2021 Year In Review Show | 00:55:53
We’re celebrating the best moments of 2021 on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act Podcast. We’re also covering a pretty chilled out New Year’s Eve at the Caddy and Donna show, and the Country Music scandals that defined 2021. What was your favorite moment of the show this year? Let us know. 7704646024.
27 Jul 2021 | I want to live in blissful ignorance. | 00:50:59
All aboard the new health craze, deworming. The less you know the better. And Kanye West’s new Atlanta home is super convenient for sporting events. Not sure if he’s taking visitors yet. Donna shows off her pipes this episode with “A Guy Walks Into a Bar.” Next time we’ll try out the auto-tune and see how it sounds. We’re recapping an eventful weekend for our hosts, a weekend that almost included a pretty tense bar fight. Then we dig deep into the stranger Caddy and Donna met. Is he a hero or a villain? The jury is still out. And finally Caddy breaks down the situation surrounding Morgan Wallen, and his disappointing performance on GMA. What’s the Olympic sport in your life? Let us know. 7704646024.
29 Mar 2022 | The slap heard round the world | 00:58:18
Get your fill of the latest news in entertainment on this episode of The Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. Get Caddy and Donna’s takes on the Will Smith slap and the passing of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. First off, Donna is going to need a bookie. She has moved past her digi-games, but she’s ready to put down a bet or two. Problem is, every time she tries, she finds out she can’t. Because it’s illegal. So if you know of a bookie in the north Atlanta metro, help her out. Wow, what a mess Will Smith has got himself into. By now you have heard about or seen the slap heard round the world at this year’s Oscars presentation. Will Smith lost his cool when host and comedian Chris Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett, and a medical condition she has. He hopped on stage and slapped an unexpecting Rock, who continued the show a bit shaken. Hear Caddy and Donna’s take on the whole fiasco. Legendary drummer and member of the Foo Fighters band, Taylor Hawkins, was found dead in his hotel room at the age of 50. He had several drugs in his system according to preliminary toxicology reports, but we still don’t know the whole story. Caddy and Donna talk about the struggle of addiction and the family he leaves behind. It’s a heavy show at times, but it’s real talk and what you have come to expect and love from these guys. Need someone to talk to or just to brighten your day? Send Caddy a text or give him a call. He’d love to chat. Seriously. 770-464-6024.
05 May 2022 | Us cougars need love too | 00:48:02
It's the perfect conversations of dang, fun and hard conversations here on this episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act.
Naomi Judd has passed and it sparks a lot of throught-provoking questions. Caddy and Donna cover them all, including how Ashley and Wynonna Judd have sparked some controversy from it all.
CEO of Action Wrestling Matt "The Mouth" Griffin calls into the show to answer some questions, and unfortunately, not give Caddy his WrestleMania name. (We're still taking suggestions.)
And we do return to our regularly-scheduled programming. By that of course we mean Donna's newest song, and all the cougars involved. Fan? Let us know. 7704646024.
13 Jul 2021 | Willy Wonka goes to space, Donna's got next. | 00:46:53
We’re starting the week off right with some very strange moaning from Caddy. It could have to do with the idea of him going to space, or some psychedelic toads, or both. Donna is starting the GoFundMe to go to space as soon as possible. Caddy isn’t as warm to the idea, especially after seeing the simple machinery of the Magic Carpet Ride fail it’s customers. Let the sound take you away. Despite the rides holding up at Six Flags, it was a rough day for Donna. She’s clearly in need of what the kids are calling “ego death.” We discuss. And then finally we close with marriage advice from one of Georgia’s favorite couples. Are you on the next flight to space? Let us know. 7704646024.
21 Feb 2023 | Two pigs wrestling in slop | 00:33:13
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Donna knows she’s not supposed to look, but she just can’t help it. This weekend, Donna tagged along with Charlotte to play the role of “wrestling mom” at the state championship in Macon. Now, Donna has played a lot of mom roles, but wrestling was not one she’d checked off the list until now. It’s a very violent sport. And the uniforms are very revealing. In more serious news, Kyle Jacobs, a country music songwriter and husband to Kellie Pickler, died by apparent suicide this weekend at the couple’s home in Nashville. Kellie was in the house when it happened. Donna and Caddy talk once more about the overwhelming state of our country’s mental health crisis and the state of mind someone must be in to make a choice like Kyle did. Please take a moment to check on a loved one and help a stranger. You never know what it might mean to them. We’d love to hear from more of our fans! Have a funny story you want us to share on air, or maybe an experience you don’t think we’ll believe? Text or call 770-464-6024.

Thanks for being such an awesome teacher and part of our lives! On today’s episode of the pod Caddy and Donna talk about how the radio and the music industry has changed over the years. How do certain songs get played? Who gets to go backstage at the concerts? Caddy introduces a segment about a little kid who says that the coronavirus ruined his birthday. He and Donna talk about all the different things that this pandemic has ruined for a lot of people – birthdays, graduations, businesses, etc. Everyone has anxiety going on right now. We hope this show helps you get through it! There is a strip club in Vegas that is offering drive thru shows for $100. Caddy and Donna discuss. Caddy thinks it’s brilliant. Thank you to our friend and neighbor Sean Parker for the great introduction to today’s show. We’ll save his little teaser for a future episode of the pod. Caddy and Donna brought their singing voices for the show today. Stay tuned for the outtakes. Sad news today on the show. Caddy talks about how he was impacted by the news of Kenny Rogers passing. Donna too. In some ways Kenny played a part in the start of Caddy and Donna’s relationship! 16 Feb 2024 | Weekend at Caddy's | 00:41:50
We're in turbo mode here at Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Let's run this one wet and hang it up dry. No beds here, are your ears OK? Let us know. 7704646024.
17 Nov 2022 | Let's get dizzy. | 00:35:04
Grab the Dramamine and Fireball, it's time for the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We start off strong and passionate by talking Taylor Swift and the cutting edge Eras tour. Donna breaks down the new method of selling out stadiums with credit cards, presales and very long waiting lists. It's a marketing style that we think will be the new norm now that Swifties have proven the concept. Then we hear from @Jesus and Marvin Gaye, except Marvin isn't verified. So who knows. From there we go to Dolly Parton, $100 million and what qualifies for the Jeff Bezos something-something award. How long would it take YOU to give away the money? We also introduce a brand new competitive segment to the show - Dead, or not Dead? So tune in and play along. Just don't have your volume up very loud… When you're finished, let us know how many you got right. Then clean out your ears. 7704646024.
14 Dec 2021 | “Hope this baby fires up!” | 00:58:26
Cadillac Jack is a Karen and this episode runs raw. We limited the editing on this show to only the legally-obligated cuts. (That’s what we call a “Louisiana Libel Special”) Hop in and enjoy this peek behind the curtain of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act.
07 Dec 2021 | Dear Google, it’s me Caddy. | 00:54:44
Caddy has been locked out of his entire life, and it’s been a pretty stressful experience. It’s caused him to rethink our entire relationship with technology. The revolution starts today on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act Podcast. Donna is in a period of mourning after that SEC Championship Game, luckily PT isn’t around to gloat. To distract herself, we’re covering the relationship drama of Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian. Then we write the next country hit: “If Freedom Was Your Bread.” And finally we close with some more breaking news on the Cuomo brothers. Have IT advice for Caddy? Let him know. 7704646024.
28 Nov 2023 | Body parts swaying and swinging | 00:46:13
Welcome to another episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. Hide your grandmas. Caddy was dismissed from ham duty. You made it! We all made it! We got through Thanksgiving in one piece. Caddy did great – well, mostly. He got at least some of his food shopping done and he picked up Nana for the festivities. That’s a whole different story though. It got us to talking about ageing and how we as humans and family members cope with loved ones getting older and losing some of their facilities. It’s hard, but it’s a part of life and it is our duty to protect and cherish our elders. Speaking of Thanksgiving…anyone else do any Black Friday shopping? We know they did in Alpharetta! Donna’s story was slammed. It is really something to observe retail shoppers – especially on Black Friday. Now bring on Christmas! There is also a story about something…smelly and gross that happened on a Frontier flight over the weekend. And you KNOW we are going to discuss how good Dolly Parton looked during the halftime of the Cowboys game. 77 years old? Are you kidding me?! What’s on YOUR Christmas list this year? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.

03 Nov 2020 | Naked, afraid and on air with a presidential body double | 00:35:25
There was a horrible storm in the southeast- Tropical Storm Zeta. Some of its effects were felt by Donna and Cadillac Jack. After giving a brief report, Caddy and Donna move on to covering how it relates to Naked and Afraid. Let’s put it this way- if you were on the show, how much pixelization would you need? We make this promise to you: there is (almost) no talk of the 2020 election on this podcast. The one time it does come up today is when Donna pitches her theory that Melania Trump has a body double. “I’m not going there.” A few bits of big news in the life of Cadillac Jack. The McRib is back. Parents are moving away from testing. Power tools (including coffee makers) are over rated. Then hear a snippet from the Mark Wills interview and get a bit of the perspective of a singer-songwriter in 2020.

22 Jul 2021 | We're evicting Jeff Bezos from Earth. | 00:50:11
Three women walked into a bus, and it wasn’t a setup for a joke. Oh the things people can do to scorn a common enemy. Find out more on this week's My Second Act Podcast. 165,000 people wanted Jeff Bezos to stay in space, and that number may be too low. Preston makes his debut on the show to talk about how bad the new Space Jam movie was and offers suggestions for what to see instead. And in this week's episode, Caddy and Donna dig into the challenges surrounding addiction. Caddy’s been there and he wants you to know that you are not alone. If you’d like to reach him directly, text 7704646024.
29 Oct 2020 | “It’s very nice.” - Borat, Kazakhstan and Cadillac Jack | 00:47:52
Christmas has been cancelled for the Jacks. Roscoe had to go to the emergency room and his treatments drained the holiday slush fund. He’s doing much better now but it goes to show: be careful what you get into in Cadillac Jack’s backyard. After filling everyone in on Roscoe’s status, Caddy and Donna move on to Borat. Whether you’re a fan or not, everyone must acknowledge the strength of the work. If the Tourism Department for Kazakhstan can appreciate it, so can you. That’s why the segment includes a clip that the international agency has used to promote the country. After filling in a couple plugs, the Jacks move on to covering their night out in Alpharetta. It involves a curb, a bar and one cool mom. Also Megan Thee Stallion (@theestallion), a cross-body bag and an unmarked taxi. We’ll put it this way: we really had to cut the segment down. Caddy gives Greg Barnhill a call around 20 minutes into the show. Greg is joining Caddy at the Uncorked Concert Series and gives a peek behind the curtain into what it’s like to be a songwriter. It’s a quick conversation that you’ll want to hear. Then it’s the best time of the week: Donna’s Appy Segment. Donna’s pick is a way to stretch your brain, pass the time on commutes or get inspired. It’s an overall great way to get starTED learning about fields that interest you. To close out the show, we hear from Officer Ritchey. The Jacks had been wondering about the legal nuances of making a citizens’ arrest and Ritchey has some answers. He calls in to share his thoughts (and stop Caddy from hogtying strangers). It's your last chance to like Hemp Farmacy - Alpharetta on Facebook, so make sure you do. Then text Caddy about it. 7704646024.
07 Dec 2023 | Santa tucked me in | 00:49:08
Great day to be alive here on the Cadillac Jack: My Favorite Act podcast. Donna kicks us off with her Rise and Fall of the Christmas Card. We think you'll relate. Then we talk Amy and TJ. A couple that are launching their own podcast. Just despicable, right? We talk challenges, divorce and projection to round it all off. Caddy gets a little sentimental as we approach four years of the show. Can you believe it? Donna keeps the sentiment up by batting it right back. We're all just glad to be here. Anyways, enough of that straw. Donna Jack gives us a much needed update on Peanut the Deer and her thugs. You know what we like to say. Deep tracks only. Merry Christmas ya filthy animals. 7704646024.
20 Jun 2023 | Caddy Jack Month | 00:36:01
Donna doesn’t have time for that. Shopping, that is. So she’s been getting a lot of Amazon packages. Some of them went to her neighbor and it gave Caddy the opportunity to find out what her name is. Happy belated Father’s Day! We get into Caddy’s big Father’s Day dinner and…Donna’s driving habits. We may have avoided a disaster and Charlotte is scarred for life. Juneteenth. Caddy has jokes. Is your spouse a bad driver? Or is it just Donna? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
12 Sep 2020 | BONUS: Christy and Richard Roth from Hemp Farmacy | 00:25:09
As a Saturday treat, we’re releasing a special episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Christy and Richard Roth stopped in to the studio to talk with Caddy and Donna about Hemp Farmacy. Tune in to hear about CBD from the experts instead of listening to the Jacks talk about Donna’s plantar fasciitis.
24 Nov 2022 | The greatest turkey event in Thanksgiving Day history | 00:51:46
So far so good here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We just have one question: are these things loaded? It's Thanksgiving Day here on the show and Donna starts us off by reminding everyone to take a beat. If you are spending time with family or another meaningful moment, and you get the urge to get up and clean, or move, or work, take a beat. Let the environment sit for just a few more minutes. You'll be glad you did. To fulfill our obligation as a "semi" music podcast, we quickly move on to Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen. Bruce says he'll be attending Taylor's concert(s) and wants her to know: she's welcome on E Street any time. Then we get heavenly. Then we take a break. Now go eat some turkey and tell it on the mountain. 7704646024.
31 Aug 2021 | "I wonder if it was the luber..." | 00:53:34
Is it an Uber? Is it a Lyft? Something strange is happening with the “weiner-mobile” as it traverses across Georgia. Our pod peeps this week provide us with the much needed updates. Donna is sick and tired of “free range” children. Get it together parents. Caddy wanted to talk about Keith Urban, but Donna steals the segment to pitch a new guest for an upcoming episode of the podcast. The CEO of Delta is having a tough time coming to grips with the new COVID lingo, and we’re checking in on Kanye yet again. Then in our obligatory music news segment of the show, we cover Kasey Musgraves upcoming album. And finally we close today’s show with a story update from Officer Ritchey of “Caddy Wagon” fame and a pod peep pitch at the hit new holiday toy. Want to get in touch? Give us a call. 7704646024.
30 Mar 2021 | We're pretty sure Ted Cruz took a pit stop in Tijuana | 00:52:40
It’s a hoppy episode here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Donna and Caddy are stoked for Easter weekend, hopefully filled with golden eggs and cash. They intro the show with talks of old Easter Sundays and an update on Donna’s bunny suit. They shift gears to cover the EF4 tornado that tragically hit Newnan, GA this weekend. One fatality is one too many and our hearts go out to the family of Barry Martin. The segment is also a nod to the change in reality many of us have experienced in the last few years. On that note, Donna moves to cover her trip down memory lane as she goes through Nana’s home. There’s just so much that you learn through community and reflection, that one lesson is to take your time. One bright spot of the move, though, is that we have original pictures of clogs. And costumes. And marriages. Then it’s time to cover the show’s designation as a semi-music podcast. Morgan Wallen has fallen to number three, ending his streak at the top of the charts. Lana Del Ray, “one of those moody songwriters that the kids love” took second. And our boy Justin Bieber is atop the throne. Nike is waving their arms in the air. They’re begging you to understand that they have nothing to do with Lil Nas X’s shoes. Caddy and Donna explain why. How hard is it to understand, Karen? Just don’t buy the Nike’s with the blood on them. To cap the show, you’ll hear about why wind is a b****. Just ask the Suez Canal and the Ever Given drama. Subscribe to The Letter to get a picture Sen. Lindsey Graham’s AR-15. Just text LEFTONRED to 22828.
30 Nov 2021 | You can’t flip a car with bare hands. | 00:50:02
Everyone is on the hunt for tickets to this weekend's SEC Championship Game, and Donna has put together her pitch to take your extra ticket. She’ll be a very nice guest, but a car may get flipped. You’re elite, or you’re nothing. We’ve got a new word that we can all learn that will undoubtedly make us more self-conscious: cheugy. Then Caddy has a new parenting tip on keeping your car smelling clean on the mountain roads. We venture across the pond for some drama with the Royal Family, before coming back home to cover the drama in Caddy and Donna’s own neighborhood. And finally we close with a little laugh from Fortune Feimster. What was your damage for Cyber Monday? Let us know. Call or Text 7704646024.
11 May 2023 | Kitty Cats and Comforters | 00:37:46
It's graduation week here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. We have officially been dismissed and invited back for next year, which is more than you can say for one of the Jacks. Donna kicks us off by talking modern dorm rooms and how different they are from the early 2000's when she was in school. Caddy reminisces on the weeks he spent on campus himself and how that contributes to his toolbelt today. Stay tuned for part 2 - how to lift a bed. It's the supersize Country Music News edition of the show. It feels like everything aand all the news happened all at once. We do our best to cover it all, from Garth Brooks to Morgan Wallen to… Robert DeNiro? Don't worry - we'll get to it in a minute. Whaaat did we miss? Wheeze at us through the phone - 7704646024.
10 Oct 2020 | BONUS: How CBD can help your life with Cadillac Jack | 00:20:05

12 Aug 2021 | Olympic trivia for this week's "You Can't Beat Jack." | 00:55:00
We’ve got another thrilling edition of “You Can’t Beat Jack,” a pop-culture trivia show that this time ventures into the Olympics. Can Caddy rebound from his first loss in ages? We’ll find out. We start off this episode with one of life’s toughest questions. Do you keep up with your exes? Then a letter of recommendation comes from an unlikely source. We’re already off-script as Caddy and Donna dig into the struggles of divorce, but we get back on track as we continue Donna’s review of Luke Bryan’s new documentary series “My Dirt Road Diary.” And right before we close with “You Can’t Beat Jack” we cover the breaking news of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s resignation. Want to be a “You Can’t Beat Jack” contestant? Let us know.7704646024.
11 Jul 2023 | Caddy needs a technology class. Just one. | 00:36:29
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. Don’t listen to this on speaker phone. But do listen to it. As Donna explains, one of her pet peeves is when people talk on speaker phone out in public as if no one in the world is around. Like, hello?! I’m standing here! Caddy agrees. It’s rude people. At long last, it’s time for the big reveal. Caddy and Donna reveal who they would pick to be on their Mount Rushmore of country music. A few of their picks may surprise you… Donna poses the question to Caddy: if you could inject one skill into your body, what would it be? Piano? Fluent in another language? No, no. Caddy has something far more useful he’d like to What super skill would you pick? Let us know! Text or call 770-464-6024.
18 Apr 2023 | I really don’t like people in general | 00:58:18
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, we’ve got some omissions and updates. And one or two apologies. OK, maybe just one. But first, daughter Charlotte had prom this weekend and Donna recounts the event. Where does the time go?! How is it that Baby Char Char is attending PROM? Sigh. So, we hear you! We know we owe you a few updates on recent pod topics and we also have some clarifications to make. We’ll dive into some details about Caddy’s new job tech issues we are sorry about. OK, Donna is sorry about. Also, just know, if you come to roll the Jack’s house, Roscoe will be on alert. Also, we don’t have many trees. Also, we’ve already been rolled. So maybe just stay away? Thanks. Big new details about Donna’s big debut on the RADIO with Caddy as they embark on a new journey and their first co-hosted morning show. You won’t want to miss this update and you WILL want to be sure to download the The Bear 92.5 app wherever you download your apps. Have some great ideas we could incorporate into the show? 22 Aug 2023 | Whose bedrails are in your mouth?! | 00:34:00
Welcome back to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! It’s time for Donna to fess up about her addiction to PB&J Snack Duos. So, Donna has had a mild obsession with these tasty morsels from Trader Joe’s called PB&J Snack Duos. She thought she may have put them in her past, but she was wrong. Her birthday was last week and someone dropped off an entire crate of them for her. The struggle is real. Donna also has some thoughts on college rush these days. In short: it’s out of control. From these crazy TikTok videos, to the booty shorts, it’s jus too much. Did you know your daughter (and you) can even hire a “rush consultant”?! It’s true. Not like it was back in the day when Donna…well, nevermind. We wrap the how with an interview Caddy did with the Funniest Man in America – Mr. James Gregory! It’s a belly of laughs and you won’t want to miss it. Have a favorite snack you just can’t get enough of? Let us know. Call or text 770-464-6024 and tell us all about it.
05 May 2020 | “If you dug around in his beard you’d find rolling papers.” | 01:05:24
Thank you to Wendy and Marty Ellin for introducing today’s show. They are great friends and Donna and Wendy in particular go back to days together at Kicks. Nowadays Wendy is a productivity consultant – helping people get organized in their personal and professional lives – something we all need right now! Marty is the Executive Director of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Association, offering pro bono legal representation to those who really need it. We love these guys! It is Giving Tuesday. If you have a non-profit you’d like to help make a difference with…today’s the day. In particular, Caddy wants to give a shoutout to the Wellstar Health System, who as we’ve talked about on the show helped save his life. Help them save even more lives during this pandemic by making a donation and sharing your support for Wellstar on social media by including the hasktag #GivingTuesdayNow. Spread the word! Spotify just topped 130 million paid subscribers. Caddy and Donna talk about the music platform and what artists have taken advantage of the increased exposure to fans who may be tuning in more now during the pandemic. There is one artist in particular who has 4 of the top 20 Spotify songs of all time. Find out who. There is a scandal going on at Georgia Tech right now, and Caddy thinks were just seeing the tip of the iceberg. There is a website, Chegg, which is designed to help students connect with online tutors. They provide answers to questions and by design help kids learn. BUT, some students at Tech were exposed to have cheated on their final exams by sending questions to the online platform. Caddy isn’t so sure 100% of the blame lies with students. Find out why. Have you tagged your hometown hero again? Do you know someone in your hometown who is going above and beyond during the coronavirus pandemic? Maybe it’s a neighbor helping out a senior citizen, a grocery bagger or your local trash collector. NOMINATE THEM to be recognized as a “Hometown Hero”. Here is how to do it: 1) Follow 1-800-Hurt911 on Instagram 2) Post a picture on any social media platform, use the hashtag #hurt911hero and tag Caddy 3) He’ll reach out to you via direct message to coordinate getting your hero a limited edition “Home Town Hero” t-shirt. That’s it – go nominate someone! This great new recognition is sponsored by Hurt911 and Threadz Ink Printing. All that and more on today’s episode! Cadillac Jack. New show, same ride. Enjoy! 01 Jul 2021 | Welcome to a brief history of the Wolfman. | 00:49:01
Caddy had some...trouble last night. Some to do with new technology, and some to do with something he ate. Typical Thursday here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act show. The Sopranos are coming back, and exactly 50 percent of the show seems to care. But don’t worry, the trailer is quite dramatic. Caddy and Donna then let us in on their conversation with Donna #AskforDonna and the Wolfman from Gallery Furniture. And finally, Kroger has some freshness to protect. Do you know why they travel in pairs? Let us know. 7704646024.
30 May 2020 | BONUS: Resuming time sensitive essential surgeries with Wellstar’s Dr. Bill Mayfield | 00:13:21

Now, they are encouraging people not to have any hesitations about getting those back on their schedules. Hospitals are cleaner and safer than ever, and in many cases, doctors are able to treat patients out outpatient centers and do follow ups over tele-medicine channels. Wellstar continues to prioritize safety for its patients and staff, and everyone who comes in for a procedure will follow strict guidelines to ensure the safety of everyone involved. 09 Nov 2021 | Caddy’s next chapter. | 00:56:34
You may have heard through the grapevine, but Caddy is coming back to radio! Don’t worry, the podcast is going nowhere. But get ready to hear about the great things coming your way courtesy of this next chapter for Cadillac Jack. Atlanta clearly isn’t used to having championship parades, that bus was flying down the downtown roads. We cover some obligatory music news with a quick heads up about our CMA’s coverage and a dive into the songwriting brain of Keith Urban. And finally, we close with some thoughts on the tragic situation at last week's Travis Scott concert. Want to get in touch? Call or text 7704646024.
15 Oct 2020 | Cadillac Jack tested positive. Well, so says Cadillac Jack. | 00:48:18
Caddy is self-diagnosing. This week the ailments have been racking up and Cadillac Jack knows what prescription he needs. It’s important for folks to bank their fame. Whether industry-deep personalities or organic rising stars, you never want to be the last person at the party. Well, unless you’re Cadillac Jack. On a serious note, handling fame and admiration well is a trait that can end up being very useful. With a few exceptions, Caddy has been blessed to have high quality coaches and program directors. Donna and Caddy spend a few minutes covering what that productive management looks like and how it can help. The Bachelor is back. Caddy and Donna talk about the franchise, but not in the way you’d expect. The Bachelorette recently enforced its contract, forcing a contestant to pay up for “making disparaging comments.” It makes history and Set your own goals with Donna’s Appy of the Week. It brings you into a supportive community and uses that platform to help build you up. It’s the best segment of the week. Then to round out the show, Caddy and Donna run through a few heart-warming updates in the Atlanta area. Do Caddy a favor and like Hemp Farmacy Alpharetta’s Facebook page. You could win a gift basket from one of Second Act’s longtime supporters. Then, text Caddy about it. 7704646024.
24 Jun 2021 | I’m wondering, Rusty, if that tire is not salvageable. | 00:44:00
Shorts are on the rise and we’re cancelling Ikea. It’s just another Thursday here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. The show starts off with the notion of high rise waists and Caddy’s trendsetting kicks. It also turns out that Ikea (the place where you pay to build your own furniture) is about to face the wrath of The People. “They’re snatching kids at Ikea? Cite your source.” We just have one thing to say: Do Not Leave Your Kids Unattended (With The Swedish Meatballs). After that the Jacks cover the time Donna was working the People’s Station during the 1996 Olympics. She was headed straight into the fire, having to work at big corporate parties downtown Atlanta. Caddy took vacation and went home back to North Carolina. We just have one question- is this tire salvageable? Let us know. 7704646024.
14 Sep 2021 | But can you play Smoke on the Water? | 00:46:23
We’re following up on one of the best “Second Acts” we’ve heard yet. Linda Walker is joining us by phone today to discuss her new gig as a bassist in a local cover band. We’re impressed and you will be too on today’s Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Caddy raced into the studio today, nobody tell Officer Ritchey. Today we revisit a photo from Caddy’s camera roll that needs some further explanation. Look for the photo itself in your copy of this week's “letter.” Then the most profitable Cameo artist from this past year is someone you’ve probably never heard of. Then we close with some breaking news on the Country Music Awards and Joe Biden's new vaccination effort. Do you have a Second Act? Share it with Caddy. 7704646024.
08 Jul 2021 | You've got a friend in me. | 00:44:58
It's the season of love on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act Podcast. Well it was, until Caddy decided he had two many Facebook friends and could do with a few burnt bridges. Blake and Gwen's wedding was adorable, even if he didn't build the chapel himself. People are playing music in the bedroom, but not for the reasons you think. Caddy introduces some Social Media stalking to the program and Donna seems to love the new segment. And finally, we close with a thrilling "Can't Beat Jack" featuring some of our favorite pop culture marriages. Think you can beat Jack? Give us a call. 7704646024
08 Mar 2022 | I was pretty smart in high school | 00:38:54
On the My Second Act today, Cadillac Jack and Donna get into a range of topics from high school pranks and country to music, to Coach K’s last home game and of course – Caddy’s first pro wrestling event. It’s Junior/Senior Wars time in metro Atlanta. If you don’t know what that is, it’s when all the high school juniors and seniors roll each other’s houses in toilet paper, tear up landscaping, and mess with cars. It started out as an innocent way to prank each other, but has progressed into something much more destructive. Caddy and Donna discuss their proposed ground rules. And of course, we get a full recap from Caddy on his big wrestling exhibition. He’d never been to a pro wrestling match before, and let’s just say he’s hooked. The wrestling, the beer, the yelling and sweating – and all in the name of charity! Caddy promises to be back soon, and bring you dear listeners more stories from ringside. What is the MOST you have ever paid for a ticket to something – sporting event, concert, or otherwise? Call or text 770-464-6024.
13 Apr 2021 | “Tell the chili story.” | 00:40:00
There are no naps allowed on today’s episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Except for Bun, who is our podcasting Emotional Support Frenchie. She can nap all she wants. Donna and Caddy dive right in with a look at Taylor Swift and her MENSA-level “Swiftie” fans. Taylor has the first re-recorded album out now after the decade-long rift with Scooter Braun. The Jacks explain the situation and why it means so much for the music industry that Taylor is starting on the project. to start the project. Tt’s possible that even Scooter is proud of the move. We know Keith Urban is a fan. Cadillac Jack has said multiple times that the next big artist to go on tour will have a vaccination clause. News out of the industry has proved him wrong. Eric Church is on a 53+ city tour that wraps at Madison Square Garden in New York. Caddy has some insight on why Atlanta wasn’t on the list (yet) and Donna points to why they both might turn into roadies. It’s safe to say that there is only so much money to go around. That’s why we think there will be a race to see who is the first to dig for gold. Eric Church has solidified his position as one of the miners is on the hunt for nuggets. Then there are a couple quick hits like the death of Prince Philip, Netflix and how to identify a Rembrandt. All that precedes a segment of Riff Raff Donna Buys (on Amazon). It’s one that you won’t want to miss, even if your credit card does. Have a tip? Let us know at 7704646024.

Welcome to Hustle with Bill Rawl- oh, wait. Wrong one. We’re here at the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act (a semi-music music podcast) just like we are every Tuesday and Thursday. Donna went skiing last week. It wasn’t in the mountains, or even intentional. It happened while she was out walking Caddy’s favorite child (see last episode). Caddy and Donna have been obsessed with Lee Roy Parnell for a long time. So much so that they used to try and get radio shows to book him for parties. That plan never came to fruition but Bill Gentry saved the day with a Lee Roy show in Gainesville. On the next segment the show covers a few up and coming country projects. There is a lot of secrecy surrounding one of them but Caddy has a bit of insider information. On an “unrelated” note, the segment also covers a new tape from Keith Urban that is set for a September release. Do your kids drive? If so, what are your car rules? Caddy and Donna give their answers and talk about the driving aspect of parenting. Naturally that leads into a trip down Whips and Rides memory lane. Caddy used to have a sunroof and a CB whip antenna. Donna asks if his handle was “Crusty.” It’s a short segment. Donna has found a cure for her plantar fasciitis. The solution can also help with sleep, anxiety and body aches. It’s a big part of the show and we’re excited to share. Caddy gets to end the segment by saying something he’s been waiting for years to say. “Drop in, drop my name and score a free edible.” Donna and Caddy have been preparing for classes to start. Well, Donna has. Caddy actually finds out about school policies on the show today. Donna has a few ideas for how educators can help students grow in these new conditions. We get an Appy this week! Donna’s segment helps families (especially kids) budget and learn financial responsibility. In your life, you will be lucky to have three people that you can absolutely count on. For Donna and Caddy, one of those people has been Norm Schrutt, who passed away last week. The last segment today is a brief reflection of Norm and some of his impacts. Norm was President of ABC Radio and hired Caddy when he was 19. Then he gave Donna her big shot in Atlanta. Without a doubt, the Choates wouldn’t be where they are today without him.
23 Jun 2020 | "Someone remind me to button my jeans." | 00:58:00
Melissa Gibson intro'd this episode of the podcast. She and her (high school sweetheart) husband live in Milton. They ALSO ran over THEIR dog in the driveway.
Melissa took pictures of families on their front steps during the COVID-19 shutdown as a way to support Meals By Grace. $9,000 in ten days. She has had an amazing Second Act and we're so glad to have her intro Caddy and Donna's.
Donna had a suspicious night out and ended up stroking a beaver with a stick. You read that right. On this True Crime episode of My Second Act, there’s a break in the case of Missing Uncle Poppy. Donna’s “Let get Appy” segment leads to a long discussion about tools and tricks of the tracking trade. Caddy talks about the summer when his house was the set of Beach House. One Saturday night word got out. Cars in the backyard, 15 year olds jumping out the bathroom window (they came back the next day to fix the toilet seat). What happened when Mom showed up? Donna and Caddy talk about wake times, “sleep divorce” and what early hours look like for a morning show host. Then... Caddy's shirt gets too tight.
27 Jan 2022 | …with Dickey and Tainter | 00:45:50
Grab your lover, smell your leather, it's time for a Second Act Special. Today on Cadillac Jack: My Second Act, the gloves come off. Caddy and Donna talk a lot about having grace while raising kids, when to ask for what you need, and their upcoming trip to Vegas. (Roll with me on that last part) Plus, Charlotte pops into the studio (room) to check in on her parents. You'll hear what it means to have your folks in the house, on the sidelines and fresh out of the guilt trap. Sound familiar? Thanks to T-Mobile, you can let us know. 770-464-6024.
09 Nov 2023 | Best done in phases | 00:30:02
Pop culture. Trends. The CMAs. You know the drill. Here's Cadillac Jack: My Second Act.
It's the annual special post- CMA Awards episode. The show was last night and we have fresh takes on the winners, losers and, well, Donna's moles. It'll make sense. We're best done in small phases.
Really though we talk about Morgan Wallen and his (unshocking) result. We touch on Lainey Wilson and her watermelons. Caddy breaks a few copyright laws. Then we bring it on home with the new Ferrari movie and who is on the forever-sexy list. It's a short, quick episode. Want it to last longer? Let us know. 7704646024.

24 Feb 2022 | Two mixed doubles and a shot in the back | 00:55:27
It's a very special behind-the-scenes episode of My Second Act. Brian Mansfield calls in to talk about the ACM awards, Dolly Parton, Morgan Wallen, The Chicks and, of course, Dolly Parton. The executive editor of Country Insider has a few things to say about the inside of Nashville and the Jacks are all ears. Tune in to hear about it all, then meet us on the court for a match. And if you have any extra pickles, let us know. 7704646024.
(Production note: Carl accepts both the tennis AND pickleball challenges. And he'll bring more heat than Ben.)

Bring in the dancing hooves, it’s the 300th episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Do you need another reason to believe how much smarter and more refined women are than men? We’ll give you one- Urinal troughs. Caddy and Donna kick us off with a little potty talk and what it means when someone walks in on you. With or without the trough. We’ve seen the future, and it’s Harry Styles. Harry is pioneering a new way of touring and we think it’ll change the game. Find out why, and why that means that us in the major metros will be the ones hitting the road. Music is now our PRIMARY category in Apple Podcasts, so we basically spend the entire second half of the show talking tunes. Winona, setlists and, yes, more Harry Styles. Then a bit of housekeeping. We find out what Door 14 is, where Crossfit Chris is and how to handle a lesson in Disney kindness. All that and more on Show 300. What’s 301? Let us know. 7704646024.
18 Nov 2021 | RED (Caddy’s Version) | 00:54:01
Well we are a music and entertainment podcast after all. If you’ve moved away from Earth and live on Mars, you may have not noticed that Taylor Swift re-released her critically acclaimed RED album. Caddy and Donna have thoughts, you don’t want to miss it. Before we even get going, the opener here concerning Eric Church is not for the light-hearted. We begin with a recap of Caddy’s trip back home. He found some things you’ll see in this weekend's “Letter.” Then, Caddy gives an update on his new radio adventure, including how you can tune in. Good news, Beyonce is back! You can hear her on the Spotify Hype Song Playlist. And then we close with a very special pod peed. Want to get in touch? Call or text 7704646024.
14 Feb 2023 | Was she on the edibles? | 00:46:05
It’s Valentine’s Day on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast and love is in the air. Well, something is in the air. First up though, Donna wants to thank all the Pod Peeps for coming to her defense and supporting her theory that dogs can learn sign language. Caddy has come to terms with it and Roscoe is making progress. Well, sort of. Hear how Roscoe may be feeling a bit overwhelmed. And, speaking of Roscoe, Caddy has some cleaning up to do on the front porch. This leads to some…interesting back and forth between he and Donna and some binge worthy Ring Video material for daughter Charlotte. As you all know, Donna has been struggling to find a Pickleball partner. So, for now, she has found an alternative means for exercising. It will be happening in the garage and Caddy will not be participating. Also, Donna adds Miley Cyrus’s new hit single ‘Flowers’ to the Hype Song Playlist. Hear the juicy backstory behind the song involving ex Liam Hemsworth. Get ‘em Miley. Some Grammy’s gossip involving Lizzo and Adelle and much, much more on today’s episode! What is the best (or worst) Valentine’s Day present YOU have ever received from a significant other? We want to know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
10 Sep 2020 | The sing-songy Second Act | 00:45:30
The first segment touches on the upcoming Halloween holiday. Wait, what? In all seriousness, Donna says that couple costumes have always been a part of the Jack’s relationship. They run through a couple of past favorites and pitch a few ideas for this year. Then Donna gives an update on her 141 campaign. She is charging everyone to do one new, productive thing for one month. Donna has heard from a lot of folks about their progress and wants to encourage others to take it on. One of the subjects Donna wants to pick up the 141 challenge is on the show today. That person is Cadillac Jack. Hear where he is on his own growth journey. Then Donna and Caddy hear a clip from Caddy Wagon that speaks to the question: Can you make a left on red? After Officer Ritchey gives his answer, Donna moves into the best segment of the month: Appy. The Appy is a great way to get discounts on medicine and other prescriptions. If you or someone in your family regularly goes to a pharmacy, make sure to listen in. |
