This week The sSpy Who Came In From The Cold finally concludes with Episode 6. I think you'll understand why it was voted in the top 100 best spy novels. First off sorry on the tardiness of episode 30. It's ready but there are mamoth thunderstorms down in Mississippi so It's not quite ready for me to download and brin up here. It feels like the end of an era, not for Brunch but for Narnia.  We've done it along with an hour's worth of Navy Lark, that because this episode was actually recorded last winter I can't remember but fear not.  Brunch is relaunching and I'll have more details on that soon!  Meanwhile enjoy this.

As we close out 2014,  I thought it'd be kind of fun to introduce or re introduce you to my love of early science fiction.  So we look at Verne's Journey To The Center of the Earth.  It's a wonderful story and well dramatized from december 9 of 1995.  Enjoy

Okay gang here's Brunch 22 and boy was this fun. We returned to Jeeves or ws this the infamous Sherlock Holmes or Dial M/ I can't remember but we finished West continued Cadfel and well enjoy these two hours. We're almost caught up just as I'm almost caught up on my Disney podcasts.

This week we begin Bowani Junction our final Masters India saga story.  It's 1946 and the Indians and British are becoming testy at best.  We also have I'm Sorry I'll Reaad That Again and Doctor Why and the Thing and we'll learn about an amazing thing that happened to Matt at Disneyland David Bales pay attention.  You've been just about everywhere this takes place.

This week it's th the third installment of The Nightrunners of Bengal we also have more from I'm Sorry I'll Red That Again and Florence Nightengale in Sceptred Isle.

There's lots of holiday cheer in this festive episode.  After we get through the obligatory Harry Lime we will listen to Dad's Army's Christmas special from 1974.  Then Matt Cox and JOhn Lingard sit down for thier annual chat.  However it didn't quite go as expected.  The chat was salvaged however.  We'll continue with the Hobbit and conclude with allen Maitland's The Shepherd.  Merry Christmas and happy holidays.

This week we begin a tribute to one of this host's favorite heroes of all time.  Many of you will remember Roger Moore in the iconic role.  Over the next few weeks we'll hear simon on the BBC we'll discuss in great detail as bestt we can Simon in literature with fellow Saint faan Eric Troup.  We'll also look at the Saint in American radio with John and Larry Gassman but we staart with The Saint Overboard with Paul Reese in the iconic role.  We also wind up I'm sorry I'll reaad that Again with a tribute to Jack and The Beanstalk learn about music in society and are completely abandoned with HMS Troutbridge.  Please enjoy these next few weeks and if you've read Saint literature and know someone who has let me know so I can discuss it with you too.

Shakespeare once said, “If music be the food of love play on,” and if you love music, you’ll love what we have this week.  First some good news.  I’m not going to talk very much.  It’s because we’ll be listening to “Amadeus,” by Peter Shafer but before we do we’ll be looking at Mozart through some of his best music along with James Nochte from July 2, 2007.  “Amadeus,” is from 2006 and stars Paul Schofield as Salieri and Simon Callow as Mozart.  Please enjoy.  A slight word of warning.  The play does contain some language and scenes that should not be listened to by all.  My friend Scott over in Disney Indiana when he promotes the show says it like this “Keep the little ears covered,” however, this is something they too will appreciate in twenty years.  Enjoy.

When doing a show of this type it's always a pleasure to get thrown a challenge. We've met it this week with gusto. We'll be looking at wWind In The Willows and Peter Pan plus you'll hear shadow memmories of my first trip to Disneyland. This weekend something happened that really angered Matt Cox.  You'll hear all about it after we've listened to I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again from April 18 1966 and it will replace our usual documentary.  Whether you agree or disagree with Mr. Cox we hope that you'll at least lend him your ear.  Matt has applied to speak on podcasting with a disability at this summer's podcast movement convention in Anaheim.  Whether he gets it or not remains to be seen but we hope to see you this summer in August at the Anaheim Marriott.  Please don't worry we get to feeling better with Embassy Lark from May 31 of 1966 and we learn of a Dutiful Son in Have His Carcass.  Please enjoy.

I want to begin this overview by thanking David O'neil from Extinct Attractions. Just recently he played an intervew of himself done by another podcaster. Well if Dave can do it ... so can I. And I really wanted to share this one with you guys without starting another podcast. So here it is. Lst Saturday I participated in an interview roundtable with noted baseball historian and local radio talk show host Ira Fistel. We talked about a lot of stuff including the 1919 Black Sox Scandal how baseball games were originally thrown the difference between a 19th century and current game and the state of baseball broadcasting. The pannel includes myself, noted otr personality Larry Gassman, Mike Stern and our exultant chair Bob Acosta. It's an hour and a half. And I really hope you come away learning something. If you're a baseball fan you're gonna love it. Btw what does this have to do with Brunch or BBC? Nothing!! But if Gary Chambers can take four month breaks and David Bales can just disappear ... lol ... well I can digress sometimes. Enjoy.

To cclose out July and our annual look at American playwrights as only the Beeb knows how we're looking at Death Of A Salesman and yes it's quite good.  But we also have Bill Bryson's take on Dorsett and an entire hour of I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again.  So sit back relax it's almost four hours you can break up.  Next week it's back to Narnia.  Enjoy.
