Kenechukwu Ogbuagu (KC) is a Nigerian boardgame designer and the founder of NIBCARD Game - a game publishing and promotion company. They are also the convener of the African Boardgames Convention - AB Con. It’s a yearly gathering of games enthusiasts to promote TTGs since 2016.

Although Eric Fersten grew up playing board games like Rummikub and Risk, he didn't become a board game enthusiast until he was in his mid-40s. These days he plays over 400 games a year, mostly tabletop strategy games. A few years ago, Eric began playtesting games, primarily for Stonemaier Games. When he's not indulged in the board game hobby, Eric works as a Senior Financial Manager and helps his wife raise their two children.

Marie Eckl and Cathy Tenaglia are sisters and creators of Race To Stupid, a super fun party trivia game where you don’t have to know the answers to win. After playing a bad trivia game, being full of holiday cheer and having no knowledge of the gaming industry, the sisters decided they could create a trivia game that is fun for everyone. Now 2 1/2 years later they are launching their latest game Pirate Blast! Battle for Monkey Island.

Richard started Analog Game Studios after successfully funding is own co-designed game, Centrix, on Kickstarter. Since then, he has published several titles with various designers in the industry. His newest title, Torus, was created by a Russian professor who created a teaching tool to instruct his students on mathematical applications in cellular biology, CTOR, or Cellular Torus. Nika Mlinarič Hribar and Blaž Hribar are designers of Secret Recipe and the driving force behind SnowBoardGames. 

They balance their professional careers in science and engineering with running a board game publishing startup.

Outside of board games, Nika is a physicist with experience in the aviation industry, currently working as a researcher in the field of numerical simulations. She was one of the 10 nominees for the 2019 Female Engineer of the Year Award, a national award that aims to provide role models for young girls and promote women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. She's taking a break from physics to ensure the Kickstarter campaign is running smoothly.

Blaž is a civil engineer working in a boutique design bureau. He specialises in the area at the intersection of civil engineering and architecture that focuses on the interplay of bioclimatic design and structural building physics. His mission is to design indoor environments optimized for the user. Nika and Blaž are an active couple who enjoy board games, climbing, snowboarding and other outdoor sports.

Noah is the founder and President of Game Trayz. Game Trayz is the industry leader in custom board game inserts. Their inserts are featured in popular games such as The Grimm Forest, Parks, Wingspan, Vindication, My Little Scythe - to name a few. They have recently launched a line of X-Trayz which come in several designs and can be used to store components in any game. 

Postmark Games is a game design studio founded by Rory Muldoon and Matthew Dunstan in 2021. It aims to publish new independent print at home games with minimal cost and environmental impact.

Matthew Dunstan is a game designer based in Prague, Czech Republic, with over 30 games released over the past 10 years. Some of his best-known designs include Elysium (co-designed with Brett J. Gilbert), nominated for the Kennerspiel des Jahres in 2015, the Adventure Game series (co-designed with Phil Walker-Harding) published by Kosmos Verlag, and more recently the Echoes line of audio mystery games with Ravensburger (co-designed with Dave Neale).

Rory Muldoon is a graphic designer and game designer currently living and working in South Oxfordshire in the UK. He’s the designer and illustrator of Skora published by Inside The Box Games, and Pier 18 published by Alley Cat Games. He also has illustration and graphic design credits on several games including Tinderblox, Kittin, Solar Storm and Solar Sphere.

Growing up, Mike has always had an affinity towards tabletop games. Playing and tinkering with customizing rules of existing games, and eventually creating games of his own. In 2008 he made his way into the game industry by making a card game for Privateer Press, who hired him on as a designer. There, he learned much about the many facets of producing games, from concept to final product. While life has taken Mike on a path away from the industry, he remained a gamer and continued to design. Now, he is beginning his own game publishing along with his daughter, Shyne (the artist). Their ice cream themed card game, Triple Scoops, will be available soon.

Jason Tagmire is a game designer from South Jersey. He has been designing and self-publishing board and card games since 2007 under the name Button Shy, and won The Game Crafter's Resource Game Design Contest with his family-friendly resource management game, Sandwich City.

He is best known for reducing our 16th president to 16-bits in his card game / video game, Pixel Lincoln. He's the designer of the AEG card-throwing game, Maximum Throwdown. He was also co-set designer on Quarriors: Quest of the Qladiator, co-creator of the pop-culture site Fruitless Pursuits, and was the Kickstarter curator for the Philadelphia chapter of the International Game Design Association.

His company, Button Shy, is a small, independent publisher that does things a little bit differently. They primarily make 18 card wallet games - pocket-sized games that come packaged in a small vinyl wallet and make for great games to have on the go. Some of their most popular games are Sprawlopolis, Tussie Mussie, and Skulls of Sedlec. Button Shy releases a new Wallet Game every month and hand assembles every single one.

Varnavas Timotheou is the founder of Hegemonic Project Games and the co-designer of Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory. After completing his MA in International Political Economy at King´s College London,  he wanted to inspire people to learn more about politics. This vision led to the creation of Hegemony, an asymmetric board game in which 2-4 players simulate the economy and politics of a whole nation. Already a fan of science fiction and fantasy, Scott was introduced to the larger world of gaming when he first played Dungeons and Dragons at age 9. In high school he discovered Warhammer 40,000, and eventually found employment with Games Workshop in Canada where he met Bill and began a partnership in creativity. There he combined his interests in games and words by editing promotional materials and creating games for events such as Games Day and the local Conflicts.

After leaving Games Workshop to pursue a higher education, he found himself in teacher training. As part of a project to help young students understand early math skills, he created the Subtract ‘n’ Adder. Once he was in the classroom, teaching, he saw the value of making lessons that used a game format to instruct students in the use of new concepts and skills. He came up with the idea for Mathemagician’s Duel and tested it with his class. They liked it, so along with Bill Murphy, he formed BSGames and launched it. Absurdist Productions is an indie board game studio in Oklahoma City, owned by Will Thompson and David Thomas. They pride themselves in creating games with unique themes that are well-researched, beautifully produced, widely accessible, and above all, fun to play.

Will Thompson (Cherokee Nation) is a professional game designer, writer, instructional designer, and co-founder of Absurdist Productions. Will’s designs include several published games including PaleoVet, several RPGs, educational video games, and other applications.

Winter Rabbit is Will’s second published board game for general release, and he couldn’t be more excited to share his culture. 

For Will, this game represents years of hard work developing the craft of game design to create something he can be truly proud of.

In his spare time (which is far too infrequent), Will researches obscure lore, pines to get lost in the forest, and paints tiny spacemen.

David Thomas is attracted to old and strange things. Antique tools, pulp magazines, pictures of dogs in military regalia. Similarly, he leans towards games with more esoteric themes like filling curio cabinets, working as a telephone operator, or fighting over food at a restaurant. In that last vein, David is the creator of Absurdist Productions’ first game, Churrascaria: A Cutthroat Game of Gluttony and has been co-author on both solo RPGs Transformation and Seven Murders til Midnight.

For Winter Rabbit, David focused primarily on playtesting, streamlining mechanics, and balance as the game developed, as well as encouraging Will to inject as much Cherokee culture into the game as possible. The end result he hopes is a game that is authentic, engaging, and widely accessible.

Tim Eisner has been designing boardgames for the last 8 years. His design credits include Grimm Forest, Tidal Blades, March of the Ants, Wonderland's War, Aquicorn Cove and more.

As a game designer, he draws on skills learned in previous experiences including jewelry crafting, preschool teacher, improvisational theatre and juggling. Tim founded Weird City Games in 2012, ten years after designing his first board game.

At Weird City Games, their goal is to create games that are fun, elegant and worth playing.

Brexwerx Games is an independent board game publisher operating out of Arizona co-founded by Brett Harrison and Lex Terenchin. Their flagship game, Holotype, is a fun and dynamic science-based strategy game about Paleontology.

Brett is a life-long gamer since first playing DnD at age 10. A fan of dinosaurs since a little kid, he took his first Paleontology class in college and continued taking geology classes while studying computer science. Holotype combines two of his favorite passions. David is the lead game designer and directs the visual direction for the Binxadinx Games. Originally he got into the board game industry as a reviewer after a career as a professional photographer and graphic designer. This led to his first job as a marketing manager and eventually led to him working as a freelance creative to the tabletop industry as The Game Bocks. His clients include Cephalofair, Red Raven Games, Incredible Dream Studios, Ravensburger, and Grandpa Beck’s Games. In his free moments, he can be found reading manga, watching k-dramas, or playing Halo with his wife and son. He hosts a weekly game night in Elgin, IL and loves playing dungeons and dragons with his friends (when they can get together for a session).
