Welcome to the first episode of "Beyond Four Walls," a podcast delving into the remarkable stories within the property industry. In this episode, our host takes us on a deeply personal journey, recounting her experiences in block management and the creation of a thriving, award-winning business.

The narrative unfolds 17 years ago, a pivotal moment marked by loss and the need for personal challenge after the untimely death of her supportive father. The transition from commercial to residential management was a learning curve, with challenges ranging from workplace bullying to sexual harassment. Determined to write her own narrative, she embarked on the daunting journey of establishing her own block management company, Fraser Allen Estate Management.

As a woman in a male-dominated industry, she faced gender bias, proving her capabilities at every turn. The challenges intensified during a difficult pregnancy, yet resilience and unwavering support from family, friends, and her team fuelled her success. The podcast explores the impact of the pandemic on her business, emphasising adaptability and community spirit.

The episode takes an unexpected turn as our host shares her involvement with the Hollie Gazzard Trust, driven by a commitment to personal safety in the property management field. The Trust's mission to build resilience against abuse is highlighted, with a spotlight on the revolutionary Hollie Guard app, designed to enhance personal safety in various scenarios.

The host candidly recounts her own history of torment, bullying, and physical attacks, leading to the realization of the Hollie Guard app's potential to reshape the narrative around reporting abuse and bullying. As the Corporate Ambassador for the Trust, she advocates for the app's widespread use in the industry.

The narrative shifts to a personal health crisis, emphasising the toll of prolonged stress and burnout. Our host shares her journey to recovery, emphasizing the importance of mindset, self-awareness, and prioritizing well-being. As 2024 begins, she leaves listeners with valuable advice: believe in yourself, embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and build a robust support system.
