Last year at Sant Baba Isher Singh Rara Sahib Wale's annual Barsi in London @santisharsinghji BOS TV was blessed to be joined by respected scholars of the Khalsa Panth, Sant Baba Hari Singh Ji Randhawe Wale, and Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji Rara Sahib Wale. Sant Baba Hari Singh Ji covers the definition of Samparda (traditional schools of learning in Sikhi) and in particular the Udasi and Nirmala traditions. Many misconceptions about the history and practices of these Sampardas have been cleared. Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji shares a brief history of the history and contributions of the Bhai Daya Singh Ji Samparda, alongside some great insights into the supremacy of the Khalsa Panth and how all Jathebandis come under the banner of the Khalsa Panth.

We are honoured to share the life of Sant Giani Sundar Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale. Sant Ji holds strong ties with saints we are all familiar with, such as Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji, being their teacher & spiritual inspiration.

Although commonly associated with Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Ji, the term 'Bhindranwale' traces back to Sant Giani Sundar Singh Ji, as this village was their place of birth. Sant Giani Sundar Singh Ji’s father, Baba Khajaan Singh Ji used to live at this asthaan (place) of Bhindran (where Gurdwara Akhand Parkash now stands) and not only farmed, but planted the seeds of Sikhi for many Mahapursh to come.

In this podcast, Giani Jivanpal Singh Ji shares the early life of Sant Giani Sundar Singh Ji and the immense amount of Vidhia (spiritual knowledge) they were able to acquire from many Saint Scholars. The immense Bhagti (spiritual practice) of Sant Ji's mother and father and the teachings they gave to their son are explored. In the final Installment of our special 3-part podcast series marking 40 years since the November 1984 Sikh Genocide in Delhi, we delve into the aftermath of one of the most tragic and horrific chapters in modern Sikh history.

Part 3 focuses on the aftermath of the genocide, exploring the responses of the Indian Government, the international community, and the Sikh community. We dissect the various official commissions set up by the Indian government in an attempt to investigate the events of November 1984 — commissions that, rather than delivering justice, often served to bury the truth and protect the perpetrators of this organised violence.

Rather than viewing the genocide as a singular, isolated event tied solely to the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi (as discussed in Part 1), we explore the broader context and systemic nature of the violence, showing how it was part of a larger pattern of discrimination and targeted attacks against Sikhs.

We also highlight the journey the Sikh community undertook to seek justice for the victims and survivors of the genocide, the challenges they faced, and the strides they have made in the pursuit of accountability.

This year marks the 400th Prakash Purab of the Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Sikhism, actually known as Sikhi, has been around for over 550 years. Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji took Prakash (Birth) in 1621 and continued spreading the message of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru.

Many of us are familiar with the story of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji obtaining martyrdom To save another faith in 1675, Chandni Chowk, Delhi. But, not many of us know about the other 50+ years they spent on this earth.
