I’ll sometimes be joined by some special guests, including our very own Matt, for interesting stories and perspectives on games old and new. In this first episode I look at the surprisingly successful campaign in Call Of Duty: Vanguard, and try to verbalise how much Rez means to me on its 20th anniversary. Listen, enjoy, and feel free to make suggestions for future episodes!

A few weeks ago, Katie and I sat down after the Whistler Film Festival –where the film premiered– to talk about the film, which is now playing as part of the Canadian Film Festival.

04 Apr 2022 | Episode 41: An Interview with actor Shawn Doyle on his film Ashgrove (and also Star Trek: Discovery) | 00:27:47
Salutations applications, and welcome to an Awesome Friday Interview with actor Shawn Doyle! A native of Newfoundland, Shawn has been working steadily in film and television since the early 1990s, and in just the last few years has racked up an impressive filmography that includes recurring appearances in The Expanse, Hannibal, Cardinal (for which he won a Canadian Screen Award last year) and most recently Star Trek: Discovery. This year he has two films in the Canadian Film Festival, Ashgrove and The Last Mark. It's the former of these two that we sat down to talk about, and it was a genuine pleasure. And yes, because I am huge nerd, I also asked a few questions about his time on Star Trek Discovery. Note: We had technical difficulties while recording this episode; some interference cropped up that we didn’t hear during recording. While I could minimize it, I couldn’t eliminate it entirely, so apologies for the segments where there is some static. -M This episode's homepage has streaming links for the film and series discussed here. We are so grateful for all of you, for your listening and engagement, and for the community that we're starting to build. It's fitting that this week saw the release of two new Marvel Cinematic Universe entries because that's how the show began. Last year we covered the Disney+ series Loki and the film Black Widow. That's right, the top ten MCU entries as decided by over fifty people. 20 Jul 2022 | Episode 62: Bonus: Our Favourite Marvel Movies featuring over a dozen of our friends *Updated* | 00:30:23
Greetings, programs and welcome to a special bonus episode of the Awesome Friday Podcast. In our main episode this week, we asked over fifty of our friends to contribute their top ten Marvel Cinematic Universe entries and used those to establish a consensus top ten. We also asked everyone if they would be willing to record a short audio clip about their favourite with the intent of sprinkling those into the show. Well, we didn’t get one from everyone, but we did get a level of response that made that plan a little untenable. So we used them to build this special bonus episode. We’re going to start with Simon, and I speaking about our number one Marvel movies from our recent episode and then jump right into our friends speaking about theirs. We hope you enjoy it.
