01 Aug 2017 | Ep. 63 - How Sakara Life Founders Made Their Mess Their Mission + Managing Your Microbiome | 01:07:14
Okay ladies + gents ... this episode is a BIG ONE. Not only do we have one but TWO guests, Danielle and Whitney of Sakara Life. They've known each other since they were twelve in Arizona, and moved to the Big Apple for their dreams of modeling and working on Wall Street. But as time passed, their struggles grew along with their go-go-go kind of lifestyle. Things basically got CRAY ... fast. Everything started to add up, from going-out, getting acne, drinking, eating out all of the time, working 80 hours/week, and not taking the time to take care of themselves. And this is how their new new lifestyle started.
They both had a lot of healing and needed to remind each other food is medicine. So from there they started being their own guinea pigs, and cooking their own meals and creating their own recipes. Eventually, they knew they were on to something, and they started delivering meals on their bikes around NYC to their clients.
In terms of the food science aspects of living the Sakara Life, here are some vital topics we touched on:
micro biome = bacteria living in your gut
95% of serotonin is made in the gut
eating the right food helps that good bacteria thrive, and visa versa
adding greens is KEY to every meal - smoothies, sandwiches, soups, etc.
eat well and don't stress about it because studies show that stress/anxiety leads to aging faster
science points to plants as the key to anti-aging
eating a VARIETY of plants is important because it builds the different types of amino acids your body needs
studies also show that your personality is more present when eating healthy
It's all about living a life of clarity, freedom, health, and nourishment. We hope you learn more than you can imagine from this episode!

31 Jan 2023 | 578. Transform Your Water, Transform Your Life: The How and Why of Coherent H2O | 01:05:29
Here on Almost 30, we like to talk about spirituality, health, and wellness – and this fascinating conversation marries all three subjects in a way that we know you'll love.
K+L chat with Mario Brainovic of Analemma, a cosmically inspired technology company that’s on a mission to infuse consciousness (back) into all of the world’s water. We’re welcoming in some new and inspiring ideas for this one, as we do a dive deep on the research, the science, and the significance of structured water.
In short, the new information presented in this conversation will change how you see and interact with water forever. Don’t worry – it all makes perfect sense as soon as we get into it.
It’s a concept Mario has been developing for fifteen years, but one that’s still brand new on the scene in terms of awareness and understanding. We’re excited for you all to hear the studies that they've done with people, and with plants, that prove how structured water affects your light body, as well as your ability to grow, thrive and be vibrant.
In addition to the technology, we talk a lot about the state of water today, access to structured water around the world, and what Mario sees as the future of water – and life as we know it.

17 May 2022 | 518. Taking Care Of Yourself While You Help Others With Karena Dawn | 01:25:49
Karena Dawn has been on the podcast before talking about fitness and entrepreneurship as the co-founder of Tone It Up. Today, she joins us to talk about her new book, The Big Silence, a memoir about mental illness and healing.
The title comes from the idea that there is still such a stigma surrounding mental health and discussing it openly. In it, she goes deep into parts of her life that are so evocative and powerful, from dealing with drugs, being arrested, and managing a strained relationship with her schizophrenic mother.
We talk about her story, how to support someone with mental health issues while still taking care of yourself, and how she’s integrated her husband into the mental health discussion. It’s so important for us to break this silence together, have meaningful conversations around mental health, and shut down the stigma once and for all.
We also talk about:
Karena’s background of dealing with mental illness in her family
Recognizing the complexity of everyone’s lived experiences
Finding clarity at the end
Taking care of yourself while you help others
Discovering where to set boundaries
Turning your childhood struggles into something beautiful
Teaching people how to work with others who have mental health conditions
The goal of The Big Silence

She also goes into the synergistic effects of food and how some foods work together to create greater bioavailability of nutrients, the importance of Vitamin D, why algae is the new trend in nutrition, and her story of starting a company with some great advice for any budding entrepreneurs.

11 Jan 2022 | 487. Sexual Pleasure + Clearing Blocks in Partnership | 01:29:42
Sex carries so much currency in our internal and external landscapes. For many, sexuality is cloaked in shame, fear, or heady expectations that leave us feeling short-changed and disempowered. Fortunately, the tides are shifting with the help of pioneers like Dr. Kate Balestrieri, a sex therapist helping people integrate the physical and emotional components of sex, sexuality, and relationships.
True sexual embodiment is a journey, not a destination (the same can be said for orgasms). This conversation undresses all the topics you’ve probably been thinking about but were too scared to utter out loud. Krista, Lindsey, and Dr. Kate candidly untangle the narrative surrounding porn, patriarchy, and partnerships while boldly confronting the common intimacy challenges in modern relationships today.
We also talk about:
How the nervous system affects pleasure
Navigating expectations around sex
Exploring blocks in partnership
Why couples therapy works
The spectrum of sex positivity
Patriarchy and internalized misogyny
Desire, fetish, and ethical porn
Tips for elevating your sexual practice
Processing sexual trauma

Does it get easier? When our loved one’s pass, where do they go and how do they feel? Tim Braun is a world-renowned medium who has performed over 15,000 individual sittings across two decades, and has become the medium people connect with to heal in the wake of losing a loved one or immense loss.
Tim is so kind, funny, and intentional. He does not filter what comes through from the other side. His gift is to bring forth the messages from loved ones passed to those still in the physical world. Lindsey has been sitting with Tim once a year for about three years. Each time, she experiences deep healing in connecting with her loved ones and friends who have passed. Often times they have messages for her about what is currently happening in her life, which is immensely comforting and affirming that they are with us always.
We discuss…
Lindsey and Krista’s reading with Tim
Healthy ego + staying within our humbleness
When Tim realized he had his gift + how he learned to use it
Tim’s aspirations to be a talk show host
Getting some answers about aliens, psychics, and more
Tim’s skepticism
When we pass over
What Tim sees, hears, and feels during a reading
Grief, loss, and how to cope
Everyone has intuition!!
What it’s like at Tim’s live events
God giveth + God taketh

We have been big fans of Iliza Shlesinger for-ev-er. Her ability to find humor to connect people around important topics, to stay relevant and inclusive, and to make audiences laugh show after show, is so inspiring. Iliza has been a comedian for over a decade now, but since winning Season 6 of Last Comic Standing, she has truly been unstoppable and ever-evolving. With four Netflix comedy specials, a co-star in her first movie out next year, her 5th special on the horizon, and material that is vulnerable, empowering, and hilarious, Iliza is making people laugh and think. . We talk about what it’s like to be recognized in public, positive and negative feedback from society, and what it’s like to be a powerhouse woman in comedy. With Iliza working on a new movie, we also take a minute to laugh over our fake Boston accents!
It’s so refreshing to watch Iliza perform. Whether she’s in character as a gazelle or herself, there is truth in both. You can tell she has been herself since day one. Iliza is playful, unbelievably smart, and has worked hard on her way to the top.

(Don’t worry too much. There’s opportunity there.) We close the episode out with a beautiful prayer, a mic-drop moment that we hope will help you open up to the power of prayer and meditation as you move forward through this crisis.

22 Oct 2019 | Ep. 265 - Jedidiah Jenkins on Faith and Sexuality + The Adventure of Finding Personal Truth | 01:49:43
CATCH UP WITH K + L
K & L returned to the place that taught them so much—New York City! With blistered feet, full hearts and fond memories, the gals reflect on the place that saw them through the sh*tstorms, and on their live show with Heather McMahan at Chelsea Music Hall. Stay tuned for the live recording to launch as an episode soon!
THE INTERVIEW
Today we are sitting down with travel writer and New York Times best selling author of To Shake the Sleeping Self, Jedidiah Jenkins! We had the privilege of spending time with Jedidiah at the Onsite Workshops Creatives’ Retreat. We’ve admired him from afar for so long, and in meeting this sweet being we were confirmed in our admiration for his authenticity, humor, thoughtfulness, and ability to truly see people and make them feel special by way of the deepest conversations.
In our conversation today, we start by discussing music, concerts and releasing energy such as anger. Jedidiah then begins sharing his story, and paints a picture of his journey in writing his book. From his experience with imposter syndrome to meeting one of his favorites, Cheryl Strayed, and how she came to write a blurb for his book—he has us laughing the whole time. Jedidiah talks about his relationship with his parents after coming out, and shares how he’s never felt shame around his sexuality, even after growing up in an Evangelical Christian household. He also shares how he’s cultivated deep friendships, and how he fosters those relationships and builds community. We have been long awaiting this conversation, and can’t wait to share it with you!
We also talk about:
Societies view of the body as carnal and animalistic
A mixing board as a metaphor for human life
Jedidiah’s deep dive into Christianity
The repression of sexuality impacting other aspects of life
The lack respectful disagreement in our society
Gravity points for finding authentic friendships
Jedidiah’s creative process

02 Mar 2023 | 586. How to Know and When to Let Go | 00:54:53
In this solo episode, Krista opens her heart for a deeply personal and vulnerable conversation about how to know and when to let go. In a society obsessed with adding more into our lives via to-do lists, courses, books, posts, etc., we hardly ever stop to think about what we can release.
Krista has found that when she let go of relationships, careers, friendships and parts of herself that were no longer aligned, she experienced greater expansion, growth and ultimately, love. In order to create a life you love, you have to create space—and that’s what this episode is all about.
To put it simply, you cannot open the door to the future you seek while holding onto your past…and when love no longer helps us to be the person we want to be, it’s time to let go.
We also talk about:
Why we over consume to protect ourselves
Letting go of relationships and careers
What is the Life Edit program
How to create space to receive clarity
The pain of leaving people behind
Following your heart and soul
Consciously uncoupling
The importance of choosing again and again
Recognizing pain as a portal towards growth
Creating the future you seek
Seeing forgiveness as freedom
Empowering yourself to take action

04 Jul 2019 | Ep. 234 - The Intimacy of Motherhood, Ancestral Healing, + Living Authentically with Peta Kelly | 01:55:25
Today we are sitting down with author, mother, and one of our favorite humans, Peta Kelly. Let us give you a few reasons why we love this woman so much: 1) Peta holds family as one of her greatest values 2) She is funny as hell 3) She walks the talk 4) She has taught us how to have hard conversations 4) She is constantly evolving without needing anything from anyone. The list continues to grow—especially after today’s interview.
Since becoming a mom, she has really focused on the intimacy of motherhood, and shares the outside fears pushed on her during pregnancy, and the trust she maintained within herself. Peta explains what ancestral healing is and the work she does to help heal the painful experiences of her family’s past, like having open conversations with her husband.
While in her twenties, Peta focused on soul growth, while working hard as an entrepreneur to set herself up financially before moving into motherhood. We discuss how she’s evolved spiritually since then, since writing her book, Earth is Hiring, and how her self-care rituals, such as stepping off of social media and Cacao ceremonies, have changed since becoming a mom. We could talk to our girl all day, but we hope this conversation will fill you up for a while—self-expression, personal growth, and relationships—LET’S GO!
We also talk about:
Peta’s preparation & rituals for her home birth
Relationships with plant medicine
Importance of trust in soul growth
The masculine & feminine in relationships

This conversation takes us to the truly endless, through the galaxies and cosmos – and back to the small, the simple, as we seek to understand and apply the science of unity, and the innate oneness that connects us all.
This one really helps us to incorporate science and research into modern consciousness and allows us to see it from a different angle than I think we do now – all the angles at once, really. As we learn today, it’s not always easy, but it is very simple. Enjoy.
We also talk about:
Her first supernormal experience as a child
Studying quantum physics at six
Becoming an accountant! (and then back to the mystic)
Studying the ancient wisdoms
Decoding the universe
Cracking open an evolved consciousness
Seeing the universal patterns
Cosmic reset
The science of unity
Bringing connection into our lives
Honoring the story of Gaia
Her latest book and reading recommendations

21 Jul 2022 | 533. Exploring the Feminine Experience and its Relationship to Capitalism, Feminism, and Burnout | 00:49:03
We are completely burning ourselves out – full stop.
In this stream-of-consciousness solo episode, Krista delves into her perceptions of our current reality, specifically, that related to the deepening bond between capitalism and modern feminism.
What does it mean to be a feminist in 2022? Or, more importantly, what are we being told that it means? How has a grinding life of hustling and climbing the corporate ladder become so much more heavily favored over a loving, soft, nurturing life at home raising a family? There’s got to be room for all shades of the feminine palette.
Krista opens the door to a wider experience, for a more inclusive ideology that, instead of shaming or shutting people out, makes space for respect, freedom, and happiness for all of the many manifestations of our time here on earth.
We also talk about:
The connections between modern feminism + capitalism
Harmful social norms + where they came from
Reclaiming words that were taken from us
Giving up the negative baggage
Living in true freedom + choice
Embracing all parts of us as divine

02 Nov 2021 | 469. What if my partner isn't spiritual? | 01:04:37
Anger, disappointment, betrayal. These are the textbook reactions to your partner when they show no interest in your self-awakening. It feels like everyone else on Instagram are #spiritualcouplegoals, casually going to ayahuasca retreats in Costa Rica. Meanwhile, you can’t get your other half to go to a yoga class. So, what do you do when you’re filling your cup with all the self-help books, crystals – ALL the things – but your partner is not interested in following the same path?
If you feel yourself falling down a rabbit hole of spiritual manipulation, tune into this solo episode with Krista, where she unpacks the do’s and don'ts of addressing spiritual imbalance in partnership and how to silence the spiritual ego from rearing its not-so-enlightened head.
We also talk about:
The spiritual ego and how it manifests
Celebrating similarities in partnership
Finding a sacred community
How to appreciate your partner where they’re at
Feeling independent on your spiritual journey
Spiritual red flags

YOU GUYS, Steve, our angel baby sound technician, is our special guest this week (and his RAD tunes close out the episode). How the heck do you make new friends as an adult? It's awkward AF sometimes, no? You might have "enough" friends, or you might be in a new city and want to make some new ones, or you might be meeting the same type of people over and over. Wherever you find yourself on this spectrum, this episode will inspire you to get out there. The trio compiles a list that you can look to the next time you're bored, lonely, sick of the same old group, alone at the bar. How about shaking up your routine and following your bliss, mimicking children and not giving a f*ck? Plus, Steve shares his beautifully weird way of attracting new friends, Krista recounts her session with a hypnotherapist that helped her understand the role her energy plays in attracting new people into her life, and Lindsey shares her experience meeting friends on the DM (hehe).

12 Mar 2020 | Ep. 306 - Lindsey on Harnessing the Power of Overwhelm | 00:49:12
THE SOLO
Raise your hand if you’ve ever been overwhelmed. 🙌 At some point or another it’s a feeling we’ve all had to uncomfortably confront — you’re not alone. In today’s solo episode with Lindsey, she shares how she has dealt with the feeling of overwhelm head on. Although it is tempting to avoid, Lindsey has learned to embrace the feeling because it is one of the most powerful opportunities for growth that the Universe gives us. When we’re open to understanding how and why it happens, we can harness that energy and turn it into something incredible.
Lindsey has been feeling this ebb and flow of overwhelm over the past two years, and with that consistency, she had to ask: What is the purpose of this overwhelm? She shares the answers that came through during a channeled writing session with her higher self, why she avoided overwhelm for so long, and 3 tips for reframing the idea of being overwhelmed.
We also talk about:
Where we learn that overwhelm is bad
How overwhelm is a challenge to our ego + why that’s a gift
Doing the inner work necessary to understand why you are avoiding overwhelm
Increasing your tolerance for overwhelm
Using breathwork to center yourself
Harnessing your daydreams

07 Sep 2021 | 455. The Stories We Tell Ourselves | 00:41:13
The narrative loops we contain ourselves in can limit our potential to be free. K + L have spent years untying the threads, which take them back to the childhood origins of specific stories that play out in adulthood. Some are good, others are not so great, but all are creations built from ego; not from soul.
In this episode, K + L divulge how they have confronted stories in their lives, from money to body image, and give radical permission for you to explore your own so that you can rewrite your self-narrative from an empowered place.
We also talk about:
What are stories and why we create them
How K + L healed their stories surrounding money and body image
Dropping into your heart
Rewriting the narrative

02 Jun 2022 | 522. Use This Method for a Better Relationship with Your Body | 01:04:26
Do you ever feel like there are a few different versions of yourself that come out during certain situations? In some recent therapy work, Krista has learned that… well, maybe there are.
In this episode, she takes Almost 30 nation into her personal therapy journey, unpacking her self-leadership work using the Internal Family System (IFS) method to identify, observe, respect, and understand the distinct parts of her being that protect and project less-than-ideal behavior, especially as it relates to her body acceptance.
We meet the Manager, the Firefighter, and the Exile. But, no parts of us are bad. This is an important caveat to remember. Meeting and understanding these different forces within us is what helps us observe our lives and environments for ways we may encourage, or discourage, their appearances in place of Self, our highest and most pure form.
This one goes deep, and invites us to look within ourselves for a different perspective, or two, on who we are, and why. Enjoy.
We also talk about:
Check ins on projects and processing long creative gestation periods
Krista shares her body acceptance journey
Introducing Internal Family Systems (IFS) method
The manager, keeping you busy, productive, and distracted
The firefighter, doing whatever it takes to bring you to equilibrium
Exiles, forgotten and missing parts of your past and present

Today’s episode is an important conversation. 1 in 7 young people experience a mental illness in any given year, and far too many suffer in silence due to the stigma that surrounds mental health and lack of understanding. Sam Webb, Co-Founder of LIVIN.org, is on a mission to change this.

Since his best friends suicide, Sam has made it his mission to promote the mantra “It Ain’t Weak to Speak” to save others who might be suffering silently.
Sam reminds us that that our presence, our listening and caring ear, our encouragement to find help, can change someone’s life.
If you or anyone you know are having thoughts of suicide, there is always someone available to listen:

06 Apr 2021 | 415. Body Acceptance Roundtable | 01:45:17
Body image is something women are acutely aware of from a young age, and a topic we don’t shy away from on Almost 30. Everyone - no matter what they look like - has a complicated relationship with their body, and it’s important not to judge or assume things based on how someone looks. In today’s conversation, K+L got together with close friends and influencers Shayla Quinn + Britney Vest for a roundtable reality session to shine a light on the internal dialogue we all have around weight and body image. Although our stories are different, we all still experience hardships and shame around our bodies. It takes years of reprogramming and conscious effort to change the narratives we’ve grown up with about our bodies, but it is possible to get to a place of love and acceptance. . Shayla and Britney talk about when they first started noticing their bodies, how well-meaning people can warp our self-perspective, and how we can learn to move on from the need for validation. We’re so grateful that they’re willing to vulnerably share their experience with all of us, remind us that we’re not alone, and that truly loving and accepting ourselves is the most powerful and healing thing we can do.
We also talk about:
Where our body image issues come from
How diet culture benefits from our insecurities
Changing your relationship with weight loss
Healing the need for validation
The lessons we pick up from our parents
The power of showing up

Krista and Lindsey also bring in a STELLAR caller, Nicole from Boston, who get's real and to the point right away (she get's it). During the call, we get deep and down-to-earth about

17 Jan 2017 | Ep. 30 - Celebrity Holistic Nutritionist, Kelly LeVeque of Be Well By Kelly | 01:08:13
Put on your robe, whisk some matcha tea and get your notebook ready. Kelly LeVeque of Be Well By Kelly, Celeb Holistic Nutritionist, author, and overall bad-ass entrepreneur joins the girls this week for an in-depth discussion about all things nutrition. Jessica Alba and Chelsea Handler swear by Kelly's approach to health and nutrition. If you want to feel empowered when planning and eating your meals, this episode is for YOU. Her tips and insight are fad-free and easy to incorporate into your busy lifestyle. Kelly's goal is to have you feeling confident in the way that you eat. Oh and she shares with us some of her favorite (and famous) Be Well Smoothie recipes. HELLO EASY BREAKFAST.
Kelly teaches us how to turn off the hunger hormones in our body with a fun, simple requirement for every meal that she likes to call "The Fab Four". Wait, hold up, we have hunger hormones that can be TURNED OFF?! Literally, the girls have been Fab Four-ing it since they recorded and have both felt the shift in their cravings and energy. Krista and Lindsey are also curious about juicing. What's the deal? Why do people want to run over squirrels and tend to snap at their colleagues while juicing? Spoiler alert: Kelly hates juice cleanses. She tells you why.
The girls dial it back and find out what lead Kelly to build her successful wellness brand. How long was she moonlighting her business while working in cancer and genetics before she took the leap to focus on Be Well by Kelly full time? Where did she find inspiration and support? Why she is obsessed with education...and so much more. To be honest, you may want to listen to this one a few times through to fully digest this yummy interview. Bad joke, amazing episode. LOVE YA. P.S. Kelly's new book "Body Love" is out this June!!

17 Sep 2019 | Ep. 255 - Brittany Piper on Life After Sexual Assault + Healing a Broken System | 01:40:33
If you’ve experienced sexual assault or some form of trauma, may today’s guest inspire you with her powerful story of resilience and hope. Brittany Piper is a sexual assault survivor who has taken her pain and turned it into purpose. She is a motivational speaker, sexual violence prevention expert, and healing coach who helps others transform their pain and believe in second chances.
Our conversation begins with Brittany recounting her story (this may be triggering for some). This leads into how sexual assault has been normalized by the sensationalization of it, and the sheer lack of sex education in the United States. Brittany explains the science behind why trauma survivors have lapses in memory, and physical ways trauma manifests in the body. She details her experience with learning to love herself again after being so disconnected, and shares thoughtful, grounding questions you can use to help heal your own trauma. We know you’ll be touched by her story, and the work she now does to make a difference in trauma survivors’ lives.
We also talk about:
Sex education in the U.S. & abroad
Media attention focused on attractiveness
The role race plays in sentencing
Tonic immobility & disassociation
Brittany’s modes of healing
Reintegration as a foundation of healing
The healing curriculum Brittany is building for women
Putting resources into those who are incarcerated

16 Apr 2019 | Ep. 211 - The LA Foster Care System, Social Work + How We Can Help | 01:26:53
We are so grateful for today’s episode and today’s guest, sharing her story and providing an inside look at what it’s like to be a social worker in the foster care system today. On a previous episode, we had mentioned how we’d like to be educated more on the foster care system, and an incredible member of #almost30nation reached out to share her story. This conversation today is emotional, insightful, and is sure to offer you a clearer picture of the field of social work and the world foster kids live in today.
Words from our guest:
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) working and residing in Los Angeles County. I work with children, teenagers, and families with severe histories of trauma and mental illness. The children and families I work with are a part of the LA County foster care system. I support my clients by helping them process their trauma, empowering them to reach their full potential, advocating for their needs, navigating the foster care system, and guiding them through the roller coaster journey they are on. I have never met more resilient people than my clients, and they inspire me to do this challenging work and be the best version of myself day in and day out.
I am originally from the Bay Area and moved to the East Coast to complete my Master of Social Work (MSW) program at New York University. About 5 years ago, I moved to Los Angeles and began working within the LA County Department of Mental Health and Department of Children and Family Services. I was working with a 13 yr old female client who was very suicidal. I was going to her home 3-4 times weekly for therapy sessions to ensure she was safe, had someone to talk to, and could work through her suicidal thoughts. As our time was coming to an end, we wrote each other letters as part of our termination and goodbye process. In her letter to me she wrote, "thank you for letting me realize that life is worth living" THIS is the reason I do what I do.
Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it can change the world for one person. Honestly, that is what motivates me day in and day in. That is what I find so rewarding about my job. I know I am not going to “save” all my clients. I know some will fall through the cracks. But I also know that if I can make an impact on just one child, that I am helping change the world for that one person.
Statistics (from CASA organization):
Foster youth in LA is 30,000
33% of California’s foster youth currently reside in LA County
73% of foster youth have spent two or more years in the system
38% of youth have had five or more foster care placements
Less than 50% of foster youth graduate from high school and only 3% graduate from college
33% of girls in foster care become pregnant at least once by age 17
25% of youth aging out of foster care will be incarcerated within two years
At age 19, 60% of former foster youth are unemployed
27% of the homeless population spent time in foster care
Only 3% graduate from college
Half of all young adults who age out of foster care end up homeless or incarcerated.
75% of young women in foster care report at least one pregnancy by age 21

Kelly opens up about her birth story and all the challenges she and her family had to overcome through her pregnancy and delivery. We wrap things up with some #inspo for the boss babes out there who have to make hard decisions around running a business — and, of course, we had to ask her some of your questions!

17 Oct 2023 | 634. The Part of Your Body That You're Overlooking: The Pelvic Floor + It's Power | 01:26:34
Do kegels actually work? Is painful sex normal? How can breathing help alleviate pelvic tension and pain?
In this episode, we go there and answer all of your burning questions with Dr. Sonia Bahlani, who is an expert in the fields of gynecology and urology―sought purposefully because she was interested in helping patients with pelvic pain.
In her efforts to bring the topics of pelvic pain and women’s sexual health out from behind closed doors and find real, proven solutions for those in pain, Dr. Bahlani joins Lindsey to discuss the key to feeling good “down there,” starting with what exactly is your pelvic floor. She provides valuable insight on what might be causing your pain, what you can expect in a doctor’s office and what to do at home.
So much of women’s sexual health remains unexplored, leaving us to wonder and question if specific experiences are normal…but no more. We’re deeply grateful to welcome Dr. Bahlani to the show to unpack the many misconceptions about this important topic.
We also talk about:
What is your pelvic floor
How to connect with your pelvic floor
The relationship between your jaw + pelvic floor
Pain during sex: Why it’s happening + what to do
The importance of pleasurable sex + foreplay

28 Oct 2021 | 468. Animals and Their Healing Powers with Alyson Charles | 02:16:22
During Alyson Charles' brutal yet beautiful spiritual awakening, animals were a daily medicine that coaxed repressed traumas to the surface. Through the initiation, she rebirthed as "RockStar Shaman" with a mission to collaborate directly with the wisdoms of Mother Earth and Great Spirit/Source, and bridge the gap between animals and humans.
Her spiritual allegiance to the animal world comes full circle with her new book, Animal Power, which decodes the spiritual significance of 100 species along with transformative practices to deepen your relationship with the power animal wanting to support you at this time. In this episode, Alyson reveals the emotionally-charged backstory to birthing her living, breathing medicine book, the responsibility of owning her role as a shaman, and how lessons from surrender and celibacy led her to find sacred union with Luke Storey.
We also talk about:
Exploring the death portal
The potency of illustrations in Animal Power
The meaning behind The Eagle Condor Prophecy
How to connect to your power animal
The responsibility that comes with spiritual gifts
Advice on surviving a spiritual awakening
