The tournament aims to provide a platform for young Croatian footballers in the Diaspora to showcase their talents while also honoring the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in the war. Alen was the coach of the North American U-14 team which brought together kids in the diaspora from all over the continent. Some went to Croatia for the first time while others had been during the summer for years. Katica competed in Miss Universe Croatia in 2011, winning first runner up and catching the eye of the industry, launching her international modeling career. Since then, she has lived and modeled all over the world but still feels at home when she's in Croatia.
