15 Jul 2024Ep. 7 - Games With Random00:49:29

This week, our topic is "Games With Random". Some games have you rolling dice, drawing cards, or picking chits out of a bag. In any case, the of unpredictability a draw or roll takes a bit of the control away from the player. Games like Chess eliminate random completely but other games use it to great effect. In this episode, we'll share a list of games that do this.

Today, we will talk about board games that have a "low" rating (7.0 or below) on BGG that we still love!

Guess the game based on the excerpt from each rulebook:

  1. The start player begins by playing a [redacted] card from their hand and all other players in clockwise order do the same.  When a player plays a [redacted] card, they must declare the observed color.

  2. Giving a piece of information: In order to carry out this action, a player has to take a blue token and place it back into the lid of the box.  He can tell one teammate something about the cards held by that teammate.

  3. To construct a Building, you must first own a set of adjacent lots matching the shape of that building.

  4. A player who cannot or does not wish to produce the required number of food must take a begging card for each missing food.

  5. Flip the cards in your play area so that their values are visible, then add all values together to determine your speed.
