Phil entered the world of business at the tender age of 14. With nothing more than a bucket and sponge, he went from single-handedly washing cars at weekends to hiring a fleet of friends working on his behalf, resulting in him earning more than his teachers by the time he was 15.
Soon after, at just 18, Phil was offered the role of Sales Manager at fashion retailer Debenhams – making him the youngest Sales Manager in the company’s history.
His early career went from strength to strength, as he worked with a host of Premier League Football Clubs to help them agree sponsorships and licensing agreements, to then being a key part of growing a £240m property business.
But in 2008, after several years of being one of the most in-demand young sales leaders in the UK, Phil decided it was time to dedicate his future to helping others to succeed.
He took everything he had learnt about leadership, sales and business growth from his previous roles, and created a one-day workshop, where he trained over 2,500 people in his founding year before eventually licensing his training to the UK, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand.
But there was a challenge…
As Phil plunged deeper and deeper into the world of training businesses, and worked with more and more organisations to improve their results – he was becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the style of information that the marketplace was glorifying.

When I was 23 I decided to buy a Taco Del Mar restaurant... I knew I had made a huge mistake at 2pm the first day when only 3 customers had walked in... (and two of them were my parents haha)
For 5 years I worked hard to grow sales every way I could think of and in the end, tripled our revenue which still didn't seem to matter on the profit side. (I lost a lot of money 💰)
The one thing that I seemed to be the best at in the restaurant endeavour was the marketing and getting people in the door.
Fast forward to 2014 when my wonderful wife Carmen (definitely my better half) started a modest baby clothing line and was selling at craft markets. I asked if I could test running a few ads on Facebook... and the rest is history. I learned every up and coming strategy and tactic and helped grow the small start-up to a multi-million dollar company and still growing!
Over the years I have realized what I am good at and what I'm not.
What I'm good at... Marketing and helping others scale their businesses. Which leads me to now.

Dan’s other family passion project is his health and fitness; Dan culminated this journey by accomplishing his ultimate physical goal as a triathlete: completing 10 half Ironman (70.3 mi) and 6 full Ironman (140.6 mi) races, as well as completing the Disney Marathon, Dopey Challenge, OUC Half Marathon, has done ocean marathons, and traveled the world racing and traveling. Through his experiences, he has come to believe that life imitates sports, and sports imitate life. The stronger you build your athletic constitution, the stronger the rest of your constitution grows.
Dan is a certified leadership coach under John Maxwell. He is an Ironman certified coach, Certified Performance Coach, Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and a Nationally Recognized Expert in Real Estate. Dan's coaching style is known to be very intense but with a huge focus on building and developing relationships.
One of Dan's life highlights has been leading Chris Nikic, the first person with down syndrome to complete an Ironman triathlon in under 17 hours. This journey has changed his life forever and taught him life lessons that he will carry with him and apply to his future coaching, professional and personal relationships.

Was there something that happened to inspire you on this journey?
You can have it all. Dan joined a group that challenged him to be better and it encouraged him to also get his health into alignment with the rest of his life.
Milestones and Medals along the way
Dan put his mind to it and lost the 110 pounds he wanted to and completed 10 Iron Man events in 2 years. He then realized he wanted to use his body to help someone else to be an Iron Man.
What has been your greatest Movement Challenges?
The journey is in who you become, not the final challenge you complete. What you take away from every movement challenge is the greatest reward.
What has been one of your most memorable Challenges?
Dan was able to complete an Iron man with Chris Nikic, believing in him even when nobody else (outside of his family) did.
What inspiration do you have for those new to the 80 x 80 Movement?
We are all wounded at some level. We want others to see our wounds, meet us where we are and know we can accomplish anything no matter what those wounds are.
