Description
Welcome to the second season of “Musings About Ourselves and Other Strangers.” I'm Charlie Bresler. This season there will be a different focus, and thus I have renamed the podcast slightly to “Musings on Wellbeing.”
This season I will interview a diverse group of people to explore different ideas about the concept of wellbeing. Some of the guests will explore the idea from a personal perspective – including lifestyle balance, mental health, and what creates happiness for themselves and others. Some guests will focus more on the wellbeing of our society and/or planet.
I'll also explore with guests an idea I have developed called “effective hedonism.” I first wrote about this concept in Time Magazine in an article entitled, “Why I Aspire to be an Effective Hedonist." I have been consciously thinking about this idea in a variety of ways for many years, even before I was able to give it a name.
Thanks for joining me on this journey.
Charlie Bresler is the co-founder of The Life You Can Save and former President of a large international retail company. Here he investigates ideas that he has been “musing” on since he obtained his Ph.D. in clinical and social psychology way back in 1984.
